3 Tidzorei, imi Mwari, penyesai chiso chenyu pamusoro pedu, kuti tiponeswe.
Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
4 Haiwa Jehovha Mwari Wamasimba Ose, kutsamwa kwenyu kucharamba kuchipisa pamusoro peminyengetero yavanhu venyu kusvikira riniko?
LORD God of Hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?
5 Makavapa chingwa chemisodzi kuti vadye; makaita kuti vanwe misodzi yakawanda.
You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
6 Makatiita mavambo enharo kuna vatigere navo, uye vavengi vedu vanotiseka.
You make us a source of contention to our neighbours. Our enemies laugh amongst themselves.
7 Tidzorei, imi Mwari Wamasimba Ose; penyesai chiso chenyu pamusoro pedu, kuti tiponeswe.
Turn us again, God of Hosts. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
8 Makabudisa muzambiringa kubva muIjipiti; makadzinga ndudzi mukaudyara.
You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and planted it.
9 Makaukurira nzvimbo, uye ukava nemidzi ukazadza nyika.
You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land.
10 Makomo akanga akafukidzwa nomumvuri wawo, nemisidhari mikuru namatavi awo.
The mountains were covered with its shadow. Its boughs were like God’s cedars.
11 Wakatandavadza matavi awo kusvikira kuGungwa, namabukira awo kusvikira kuRwizi.
It sent out its branches to the sea, its shoots to the River.
12 Seiko makaputsa masvingo awo kuti vose vanopfuura napo vanonge mazambiringa awo?
Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
13 Nguruve dzinobva musango dzinouparadza, uye zvisikwa zvesango zvinoudya.
The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
14 Dzokerai kwatiri, imi Mwari Wamasimba Ose! Tarirai muri kudenga muone! Rindai muzambiringa uyu,
Turn again, we beg you, God of Hosts. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,
15 iwo mudzi wakasimwa noruoko rwenyu rworudyi, mwanakomana wamakazvirerera.
the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself.
16 Muzambiringa wenyu watemerwa pasi, wapiswa nomoto; pakutuka kwenyu, vanhu venyu vanofa.
It’s burnt with fire. It’s cut down. They perish at your rebuke.
17 Ruoko rwenyu rworudyi ngarugare pamusoro pomunhu ari kurudyi kwenyu, mwanakomana womunhu wamakazvirerera.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.
18 Ipapo hatingazobvi kwamuri; timutsiridzei, tigodana kuzita renyu.
So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.
