1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Kuna Jedhutuni. Pisarema raAsafi. Ndakadanidzira kuna Mwari kuti andibatsire; ndakadana kuna Mwari kuti andinzwe.
For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by Asaph. My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.
2 Pandakanga ndiri pakutambudzika, ndakatsvaka Ishe; panguva yousiku ndakatambanudza maoko angu asinganeti, uye mweya wangu wakaramba kunyaradzwa.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
3 Haiwa Mwari, ndakakurangarirai, uye ndikagomera; ndakafungisisa, mweya wangu ukaziya. Sera
I remember God, and I groan. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 Makakonesa meso angu kutsinzina; ndakatambudzika zvokuti ndakatadza kutaura.
You hold my eyelids open. I am so troubled that I can’t speak.
5 Ndakarangarira mazuva ekare, makore ekare kare;
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 ndakarangarira nziyo dzangu panguva yousiku. Mwoyo wangu wakafungisisa uye mweya wangu wakabvunza ukati,
I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:
7 “Ko, Ishe acharamba nokusingaperi here? Haachazombonzwiri ngonizve here?
“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?
8 Ko, rudo rwake rusingaperi rwakabva nokusingaperi here? Chipikirwa chake chakakona nokusingaperi here? Sera
Has his loving kindness vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations?
9 Ko, Mwari akanganwa kuva nenyasha here? Mukutsamwa kwake haachaitira tsiye dzake nyoro here?”
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?” (Selah)
10 Ipapo ndakafunga ndikati, “Ndichakumbira hangu pane izvozvi: makore oruoko rworudyi reWokumusoro-soro.”
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this: the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
11 Ndicharangarira mabasa aJehovha; hongu, ndicharangarira zvishamiso zvenyu zvakare kare.
I will remember the LORD’s deeds; for I will remember your wonders of old.
12 Ndichafungisisa pamusoro pamabasa enyu ose, uye ndicharangarira mabasa enyu makuru.
I will also meditate on all your work, and consider your doings.
13 Haiwa Mwari, nzira dzenyu itsvene. Ndoupiko mwari mukuru saMwari wedu?
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What god is great like God?
14 Muri Mwari anoita zvishamiso; munoratidza simba renyu pakati pavanhu.
You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples.
15 Noruoko rwenyu rune simba, makadzikinura vanhu venyu, izvo zvizvarwa zvaJakobho naJosefa. Sera
You have redeemed your people with your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Mvura zhinji yakakuonai, imi Mwari, mvura zhinji yakakuonai ikatya; kwakadzika chaiko kwakabvunda.
The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed.
17 Makore akadurura mvura, kumatenga kwakaunga nokutinhira; miseve yenyu yakapenya kuno nokoko.
The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.
18 Kutinhira kwenyu kwakanzwika muchamupupuri, kupenya kwenyu kwakavhenekera nyika; nyika yakadedera ikadengenyeka.
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.
19 Gwara renyu rakapinda nomugungwa, nzira yenyu ikapinda nomumvura zhinji zhinji, kunyange zvazvo tsoka dzenyu dzakanga dzisingaonekwi.
Your way was through the sea, your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.
20 Makatungamirira vanhu venyu seboka ramakwai noruoko rwaMozisi naAroni.
You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
