< Mapisarema 62 >
1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Kuna Jedhutuni. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Mweya wangu unozorora muna Mwari oga; ruponeso rwangu runobva kwaari.
For the leader. On jeduthun. A psalm of David. I wait alone in silence for God; From him comes my help.
2 Iye oga ndiye dombo rangu noruponeso rwangu; ndiye nhare yangu, handingambozungunuswi.
Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
3 Muchasvika kupiko muchingorova munhu? Ko, imi mose muchamukanda pasi here, iyeyu rusvingo rwakarereka, noruzhowa rwuri kuwa?
How long will you, all of you, batter a man, as one might a leaning wall?
4 Vanofunga kwazvo zvokumuwisira pasi kubva panzvimbo yake yakakwirira; vanofarira nhema. Vanoropafadza nemiromo yavo, Asi vachituka mumwoyo yavo. Sera
From his height they are planning to topple him. They take pleasure in falsehood; they bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. (Selah)
5 Iwe mweya wangu, zviwanire zororo muna Mwari oga; tariro yangu inobva kwaari.
I wait alone in silence for God; for from him comes my hope.
6 Ndiye oga dombo rangu noruponeso rwangu; ndiye nhare yangu, handingazungunuswi.
Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
7 Ruponeso rwangu nokukudzwa kwangu zvinobva kuna Mwari; ndiye dombo rangu guru, noutiziro hwangu.
On God rests my honour and safety, in God is my strong rock, my refuge.
8 Vimbai naye nguva dzose, imi vanhu; dururai mwoyo yenyu kwaari, nokuti Mwari ndiye utiziro hwedu. Sera
Trust in him, all you people assembled, pour out your heart in his presence; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
9 Vanhu vasina maturo vanongova mweya zvawo, asi vanokudzwa inhema bedzi; kana vakayerwa havaremi, havasi chinhu; vose pamwe chete vanongova mweya.
The lowly are nought but a breath, the lofty are but an illusion: in the balances up they go, they are lighter than breath altogether.
10 Regai kuvimba noupambi kana kuzvikudza nezvinhu zvokuba; kunyange pfuma yenyu ichiwanda, regai kuisa mwoyo yenyu pairi.
Trust not in gain of extortion, set no vain hopes in robbery. As for wealth, if it bears fruit, set not your heart upon it.
11 Chinhu chimwe chakataurwa naMwari, zvinhu zviviri zvandakanzwa: Kuti imi, iyemi Mwari, mune simba,
One thing God has uttered, two things there are which I heard that power belongs to God,
12 uye kuti imi, iyemi Ishe, mune rudo. Zvirokwazvo muchapa mubayiro kumunhu mumwe nomumwe maererano nezvaakaita.
and to you, too, O Lord, belongs kindness; for you requite each person according to what they have done.
