1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba nemitengeranwa. Nesheminiti. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Haiwa Jehovha, regai kundirayira mukutsamwa kwenyu, kana kundiranga muhasha dzenyu.
To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Ndinzwirei ngoni, Jehovha, nokuti ndava kuziya; haiwa Jehovha, ndiporesei, nokuti mapfupa angu ava kurwadza.
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are troubled.
3 Mweya wangu uri kurwadziwa. Haiwa Jehovha, kusvikira riniko, kusvikira riniko?
My soul is also greatly troubled: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4 Dzokai, imi Jehovha, mugondirwira; ndiponesei nokuda kworudo rwenyu rusingaperi.
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercies’ sake.
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)
6 Ndaneta nokugomera; ndinonyorovesa mubhedha wangu nemisodzi ndichichema usiku hwose, ndinonyorovesa uvato hwangu nemisodzi.
I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Meso angu aneta nokuchema; haachaoni nokuda kwavavengi vangu vose.
My eye is consumed because of grief; it groweth old because of all my enemies.
8 Ibvai pandiri, imi mose munoita zvakaipa, nokuti Jehovha anzwa kuchema kwangu.
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 Jehovha anzwa kukumbira kwangu nyasha; Jehovha anogamuchira munyengetero wangu.
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10 Vavengi vangu vose vachanyadziswa uye vachavhundutswa; vachadzokera shure pakarepo mukunyadziswa.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled: let them return and be suddenly ashamed.
