1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba waVanakomana vaKora. Masikiri nomuimbirwo wa“Maruva aMahapa.” Rwiyo rwoMuchato. Mwoyo wangu unobvongodzwa nedingindira rakanaka, pandinodetembera mambo ndima dzangu; rurimi rwangu chinyoreso chomunyori anogona.
To the Chief Musician. On Shoshannim. For the Sons of Korah. A Psalm of Instruction. A Song of Love. Overflowed hath my heart, with an excellent theme, I will recite my poem concerning the king, Be, my tongue, [like] the pen of a scribe who is skilled.
2 Imi makanakisisa pavanhu vose uye miromo yenyu yakazadzwa nenyasha, sezvo Mwari akakuropafadzai nokusingaperi.
Most beautiful thou art, beyond the sons of men, Graciousness hath been poured forth by thy lips, For this cause, hath God blessed thee, to times age-abiding.
3 Sungai munondo wenyu parutivi, imi wamasimba, zvishongedzei nokubwinya noumambo.
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, [’Tis] thine honour and thy majesty;
4 Paumambo hwenyu kwirai mukunde kwazvo, makamirira chokwadi, kuzvininipisa nokururama; ruoko rwenyu rworudyi ngaruratidze mabasa enyu anotyisa.
And, [in] thy majesty, be successful! ride forth! on behalf of faithfulness, and humility—righteousness, And let thine own right hand show thee wonderful things.
5 Miseve yenyu inopinza ngaibaye mwoyo yavavengi vamambo; ndudzi ngadziputsikire pasi petsoka dzenyu.
Thine arrows, are sharp—Peoples, under thee, fall! In the heart of the foes of the king.
6 Chigaro chenyu, imi Mwari, chichagara nokusingaperi-peri; tsvimbo yokururamisira ichava tsvimbo youmambo hwenyu.
Thy throne, O God, is to times age-abiding and beyond, A sceptre of equity, is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
7 Imi munoda kururama uye munovenga zvakaipa; naizvozvo Mwari, Mwari wenyu, akakuisai pamusoro peshamwari dzenyu nokukuzodzai namafuta omufaro.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness, —For this cause, hath God, thine own God, anointed thee, With the oil of gladness, beyond thy partners.
8 Nguo dzenyu dzose dzinonhuwirira mura, arosi nekasia, zvinobva kumizinda yamadzimambo yakashongedzwa nenyanga dzenzou, kurira kwehungiso kunokufadzai.
Myrrh and aloes, cassias, all thy garments, —Out of the palaces of ivory, the tones of strings, have rejoiced thee.
9 Vanasikana vamadzimambo vari pakati pavakadzi vanokudzwa; kuruoko rwenyu rworudyi kuno mwenga akashongedzwa negoridhe reOfiri.
Daughters of kings, are among thine honourable women, Stationed is the bride at thy right hand, in gold of Ophir.
10 Teerera, iwe mwanasikana, rangarira, uye urereke nzeve yako: Kanganwa vanhu vako neimba yababa vako.
Hearken, O daughter, and observe, Incline also thine ear, Forget, then, thine own people, And the house of thy father;
11 Mambo ayevedzwa norunako rwako; mukudze, nokuti ndiye Ishe wako.
When the king shall desire thy beauty, Surely, he, is thy lord, then bow down to him.
12 Mwanasikana weTire achauya nechipo, vanhu vakapfuma vachatsvaka nyasha kwauri.
Also, the daughter of Tyre, [cometh in] with a present! Thy face, shall the rich of the people appease.
13 Mwanasikana wamambo akanaka kwazvo mukati meimba yake; nguo yake yakarukirirwa negoridhe.
All glorious—the daughter of a king [sitteth] within, Brocades, wrought with gold, [are] her clothing!
14 Akapfeka nguo dzakashongedzwa achaperekedzwa kuna mambo; shamwari dzake idzo mhandara dzinomutevera uye vanouyiswa kwamuri.
In embroidered raiment, shall she be brought unto the king—The virgins that follow her, her companions, are to be conducted unto thee:
15 Vanoperekedzwa vachapinda nomufaro nokufarisisa; vanopinda mumuzinda wamambo.
They shall be brought, with rejoicings and exultation, —They shall enter into the palace of the king!
16 Vanakomana venyu vachatsiva nzvimbo yamadzibaba enyu; muchavaita machinda munyika yose.
Instead of thy fathers, be thy sons, Thou shalt make them rulers in all the earth.
17 Ndichaita kuti kurangarirwa kwenyu kurambe kuripo, kusvikira kuzvizvarwa zvose; naizvozvo ndudzi dzichakurumbidzai nokusingaperi-peri.
I will keep in remembrance thy Name, through each succeeding generation, For this cause, peoples, shall praise thee, to times age-abiding and beyond.
