1 Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Paakaita seanopenga pamberi paAbhimereki; uyo akamudzinga, iye akaenda hake. Ndinorumbidza Jehovha nguva dzose; kurumbidzwa kwake kucharamba kuri pamiromo yangu.
[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Mwoyo wangu uchazvirumbidza muna Jehovha; vanotambudzika ngavanzwe vafare.
My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
3 Kudzai Jehovha pamwe chete neni; ngatikudzei zita rake pamwe chete.
Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Ndakachema kuna Jehovha akandipindura; akandisunungura pakutya kwangu kwose.
I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Vanotarira kwaari vanopenya; zviso zvavo hazvingambofukidzwi nenyadzi.
They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
6 Murombo uyu akadana, uye Jehovha akamunzwa; akamuponesa pakutambudzika kwake kwose.
This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Mutumwa waJehovha anokomberedza avo vanomutya, uye anovasunungura.
The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 Ravirai henyu muone kuti Jehovha akanaka; akaropafadzwa munhu anovanda maari.
Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
9 Ityai Jehovha, imi vatsvene vake, nokuti vanomutya havana chavanoshayiwa.
Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 Shumba dzinopera simba uye dzinofa nenzara, asi avo vanotsvaka Jehovha havashayiwi chinhu chakanaka.
The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
11 Uyai, vana vangu, nditeererei; ndichakudzidzisai kutya Jehovha.
Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Ani naani wenyu anoda upenyu, uye uchida kuona mazuva akawanda,
What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?
13 dzora rurimi rwako pane zvakaipa nemiromo yako pakureva nhema.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
14 Ibva pane zvakaipa ugoita zvakanaka; tsvaka rugare uye urutevere.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Meso aJehovha ari pamusoro pavakarurama uye nzeve dzake dzinonzwa kuchema kwavo;
The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
16 chiso chaJehovha chinovenga avo vanoita zvakaipa, kuti abvise chiyeuchidzo chavo panyika.
The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
17 Vakarurama vanodanidzira, uye Jehovha anovanzwa; anovarwira pakutambudzika kwavo kwose.
[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 Jehovha ari pedyo navane mwoyo yakaputsika uye anoponesa avo vakapwanyika pamweya.
Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
19 Akarurama angava namatambudziko mazhinji, asi Jehovha anomurwira paari ose;
Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
20 anochengetedza mapfupa ake ose, hakuna nerimwe rawo richavhunika.
He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Zvakaipa zvichauraya vakaipa; vavengi vavakarurama vachapiwa mhosva.
Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
22 Jehovha anodzikinura varanda vake; hapana kana mumwe anovanda maari achapiwa mhosva.
Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
