Mapisarema 33
1 Imbirai Jehovha, mufarisise, imi vakarurama; zvakanaka kuti vakarurama vamurumbidze.
Be joyful, O ye righteous, in the Lord; [for] unto the righteous praise is comely.
2 Rumbidzai Jehovha nembira; muimbirei nziyo nomutengeranwa une hungiso gumi.
Give thanks unto the Lord with the harp: with the ten-stringed psaltery do ye sing [praises] unto him.
3 Muimbirei rwiyo rutsva; muridze zvakanaka, mugopururudza nomufaro.
Sing unto him a new song; play beautifully amidst a triumphant shout.
4 Nokuti shoko raJehovha rakarurama uye nderechokwadi; iye akatendeka pane zvose zvaanoita.
For the word of the Lord is upright; and all his works [are done] in truth.
5 Jehovha anoda kururama nokururamisira; nyika izere norudo rwake rusingaperi.
He loveth righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord.
6 Kudenga denga kwakaitwa neshoko raJehovha, hondo dzenyeredzi dzaikoko, nokufema kwomuromo wake.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
7 Anounganidza mvura zhinji yegungwa muzvirongo; anoisa kwakadzika mumatura.
He gathereth together like heaps the waters of the sea: he layeth up in store-houses the depths [of the sea].
8 Nyika yose ngaitye Jehovha; marudzi ose enyika ngaamuremekedze.
Let all the earth fear the Lord: of him stand in awe all the inhabitants of the world.
9 Nokuti iye akataura, zvikaitika; akarayira, zvikamira zvakasimba.
For he spoke, and it came into being: he commanded, and it stood fast.
10 Jehovha anokonesa urongwa hwendudzi; anopinganidza mifungo yendudzi.
The Lord frustrateth the resolves of the nations: he bringeth to nought the thoughts of the people.
11 Asi urongwa hwaJehovha hunomira hwakasimba nokusingaperi, nendangariro dzomwoyo wake kusvikira kuzvizvarwa zvose.
The counsel of the Lord will stand for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12 Rwakaropafadzwa rudzi rwakaita Jehovha Mwari warwo, vanhu vaakasarudza kuti vave nhaka yake.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he hath chosen for himself as a heritage.
13 Jehovha anotarira pasi ari kudenga uye anoona marudzi ose avanhu;
The Lord looketh from heaven; he seeth all the sons of men.
14 ari pachigaro chake anotarira vose vagere panyika,
From the place of his habitation he directeth his view upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 iye anoumba mwoyo yavanhu vose, anofungisisa zvose zvavanoita.
He fashioneth their hearts altogether; he hath regard to all their works.
16 Hapana mambo anoponeswa nokukura kwehondo yake; hapana murwi anopunyuka nokuda kwesimba rake guru.
The king is not saved by the multitude of an army: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 Bhiza itariro isina maturo pakurwirwa; harigoni kuponesa kunyange rine simba guru.
Vain is the horse for victory: nor shall he deliver any by the greatness of his strength.
18 Asi meso aJehovha ari pamusoro paavo vanomutya, napamusoro paavo vakaisa tariro yavo murudo rwake rusingaperi,
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear him, upon those that hope for his kindness.
19 kuti avarwire parufu nokuvararamisa panzara.
To deliver from death their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Tinomirira Jehovha netariro; ndiye mubatsiri wedu nenhoo yedu.
Our soul waiteth for the Lord: our help and our shield is he.
21 Mwoyo yedu inofara maari, nokuti tinovimba nezita rake dzvene.
For in him shall our heart rejoice: because in his holy name have we trusted.
22 Rudo rwenyu rusingaperi ngarugare pamusoro pedu, imi Jehovha, kunyange sezvatakaisa tariro yedu mamuri.
Let thy kindness, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.
