Mapisarema 23

1 Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Jehovha ndiye mufudzi wangu, hapana chandingashayiwa.

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 Anondivatisa pamafuro manyoro, anondisesedza pamvura inozorodza,

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 anoponesa mweya wangu. Anondifambisa panzira dzokururama nokuda kwezita rake.

He restoreth my soul; He guideth me in straight paths for His name's sake.

4 Kunyange ndikafamba nomumupata womumvuri worufu, handingatyi zvakaipa, nokuti imi muneni; tsvimbo yenyu nomudonzvo wenyu zvinondinyaradza.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

5 Munondigadzirira tafura pamberi pavavengi vangu. Munozodza musoro wangu namafuta; mukombe wangu unopfachukira.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Zvirokwazvo kunaka kwenyu norudo rwenyu zvichanditevera, mazuva ose oupenyu hwangu, uye ndichagara mumba maJehovha nokusingaperi.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
