1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Jehovha ngaakupindure paunotambudzika; zita raMwari waJakobho ngarikudzivirire.
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” May the Lord answer thee on the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;
2 Ngaakutumire rubatsiro runobva panzvimbo tsvene, uye akupe rutsigiro runobva kuZioni.
May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and support thee from Zion;
3 Ngaarangarire zvibayiro zvako zvose uye agogamuchira zvibayiro zvako zvinopiswa. Sera
May he remember all thy meat-offerings, and accept in favor thy burnt-sacrifice. (Selah)
4 Ngaakupe zvinodikanwa nomwoyo wako, uye aite kuti urongwa hwako hwose hubudirire.
May he grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy resolves.
5 Tichadanidzira nomufaro pakukunda kwako, uye tichasimudza mireza yedu muzita raMwari wedu. Jehovha ngaakupe zvose zvawakakumbira.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we upraise our banners: may the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.
6 Zvino ndava kuziva kuti Jehovha anoponesa muzodziwa wake; anomupindura ari kudenga rake dzvene, nesimba rokuponesa kworuoko rwake rworudyi.
Now I know that the Lord saveth his anointed: he will answer him from his holy heavens, with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Vamwe vanovimba nengoro, vamwe namabhiza, asi isu tinovimba nezita raJehovha Mwari wedu.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; but we will invoke the name of the Lord our God.
8 Vanowisirwa pasi namabvi avo vagowa, asi isu tinosimuka tigomira takasimba.
They are prostrate and fallen; but we are risen up and stand erect.
9 Haiwa Jehovha, ponesai mambo! Tipindurei patinodana!
O Lord, save [us]: may the king answer us on the day when we call [on him].
