1 Rwiyo rworwendo. Ndinodanidzira kwamuri Jehovha, ndiri pakadzika;
Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.
2 haiwa Jehovha, inzwai inzwi rangu. Nzeve dzenyu ngadzinzwe kuchemera kwangu ngoni.
Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.
3 Dai imi, iyemi Jehovha, maironda zvakaipa zvomunhu, haiwa Jehovha, ndianiko aimira?
If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?
4 Asi kwamuri kune kukanganwira; naizvozvo imi munotyiwa.
But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.
5 Ndinomirira Jehovha, mweya wangu unomirira, uye tariro yangu iri mushoko rake.
I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.
6 Mweya wangu unorindira Ishe kupfuura varindi vanomirira rungwanani.
My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.
7 Haiwa Israeri, isa tariro yako muna Jehovha, nokuti Jehovha ane rudo rusingaperi uye kwaari kune dzikinuro izere.
Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is chesed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.
8 Iye pachake achadzikinura Israeri kubva pazvivi zvavo zvose.
He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their depravities (moral evils).
