1 Rwiyo. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Mwoyo wangu wakasimba, Mwari imi; ndichaimba uye ndichaimba zvakanaka nomwoyo wangu wose.
A Song, a Melody: David’s. Fixed, is my heart, O God, I will sing and touch the strings, even mine honour.
2 Muka iwe mutengeranwa nembira! Ndichamutsa mambakwedza.
Awake, O harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!
3 Haiwa Jehovha ndichakurumbidzai pakati pendudzi; ndichaimba nezvenyu pakati pamarudzi. Kutendeka kwenyu kunosvika kumatenga.
I will thank thee among the peoples, O Yahweh, and will sing praise unto thee, among the tribes of men.
4 Nokuti rudo rwenyu rukuru, kupfuura kudenga denga;
For, great, above the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, and, as far as the skies, thy faithfulness.
5 Kudzwai, imi Mwari, kumusoro kwokudenga, uye kurumbidzwa kwenyu ngakuve pamusoro penyika yose.
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, And, above all the earth, be thy glory.
6 Tiponesei uye mutibatsire noruoko rwenyu rworudyi, kuti vamunoda varwirwe.
To the end thy beloved ones may be delivered, Oh save thou with thy right hand and answer me!
7 Mwari akataura ari panzvimbo yake tsvene achiti, “Pakukunda kwangu ndichaganhura Shekemu, uye ndigoyera Mupata weSukoti.
God, hath spoken in his holiness, I will exult! I will apportion Shechem! And, the Vale of Succoth, will I measure out;
8 Gireadhi ndeyangu, Manase ndowangu; Efuremu inguwani yangu, Judha itsvimbo yangu.
Mine, is Gilead—mine, Manasseh, but, Ephraim, is the defence of my head, Judah, is my commander’s staff;
9 Moabhu ndiwo mudziyo wangu wokugezera, pamusoro paEdhomu ndichapotsera shangu dzangu; pamusoro paFiristia ndichapembera mukukunda.”
Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia, raise a shout of triumph.
10 Ndianiko achandiuyisa muguta rakakomberedzwa namasvingo? Ndianiko achanditungamirira kuEdhomu?
Who will conduct me to a fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?
11 Ko, hamusimi here, imi Mwari, iyemi makatiramba uye mukasazobudazve kuenda nehondo dzedu?
Hast not thou, O God, rejected us? and wilt not go forth, O God, with our hosts.
12 Tibatsirei pamuvengi wedu, nokuti rubatsiro rwomunhu haruna maturo.
Grant us help out of distress, for, vain, is the deliverance of man:
13 Tichapiwa kukunda naMwari, uye achatsika-tsika vavengi vedu.
In God, shall we do valiantly, He himself, therefore, shall tread down our adversaries.
