< Mapisarema 1 >

1 Akaropafadzwa munhu asingafambi panorangana vakaipa, asingamiri panzira yavatadzi, asingagari pachigaro chavadadi.
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 Asi anofarira murayiro waJehovha, uye anofungisisa murayiro wake masikati nousiku.
but his delight is in Adonai’s Torah ·Teaching·. On his torot ·teachings· he meditates day and night.
3 Akafanana nomuti wakasimwa pahova dzemvura, unobereka michero yawo nenguva yawo, uye mashizha awo haasvavi. Chinhu chipi nechipi chaanoita chinoendeka.
He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
4 Vakaipa havana kudaro! Vakafanana nehundi inopepereswa nemhepo.
The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Naizvozvo vakaipa havangamiri pakutongwa, kana vatadzi paungano yavakarurama.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the upright.
6 Nokuti Jehovha anotarira nzira yavakarurama, asi nzira yavakaipa ichaparadzwa.
For Adonai knows the way of the upright, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
