< Zvirevo 9 >

1 Uchenjeri hwakavaka imba yahwo; hwakaveza mbiru dzahwo nomwe.
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2 Hwakabika nyama yahwo; uye hukagadzira waini yahwo; hwakagadzirawo tafura yahwo.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
3 Hwakatuma varandakadzi vahwo, uye hunodanidzira kubva panzvimbo yakakwirira kwazvo yeguta.
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
4 Kuna avo vanoshayiwa njere hunoti, “Vose vasina uchenjeri ngavauye muno!
Whoso [is] simple, let him turn in hither: [as for] him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5 Uyai, mudye zvokudya zvangu munwe waini yandagadzira.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine [which] I have mingled.
6 Siyai nzira dzenyu dzisina mano mugorarama; fambai munzira yokunzwisisa.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
7 “Ani naani anorayira mudadi anozvitsvakira kutukwa; ani naani anotsiura munhu akaipa anozviwanira kutukwa.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked [man getteth] himself a blot.
8 Usatsiura mudadi kuti arege kukuvenga; tsiura munhu akachenjera uye achakuda.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9 Rayira munhu akachenjera uye achawedzera uchenjeri hwake; dzidzisa munhu akarurama uye achawedzera kudzidza kwake.
Give [instruction] to a wise [man], and he will be yet wiser: teach a just [man], and he will increase in learning.
10 “Kutya Jehovha ndiwo mavambo ouchenjeri, uye kuziva Iye Mutsvene ndiko kunzwisisa.
The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding.
11 Nokuti neni mazuva ako achava mazhinji, uye makore achawedzerwa kuupenyu hwako.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
12 Kana uri wakachenjera, uchenjeri hwako huchakupa mubayiro; kana uri mudadi, iwe woga ndiwe uchatambura.”
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but [if] thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear [it].
13 Mukadzi benzi ane ruzha; haana kudzikama uye haana zivo.
A foolish woman [is] clamorous: [she is] simple, and knoweth nothing.
14 Anogara pamusuo wemba yake, napachigaro chiri panzvimbo yakakwiririsa yeguta,
For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
15 achidanidzira kuna avo vanenge vachipfuura napo, vaya vanofamba zvakarurama nenzira yavo.
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
16 Anoti kuna vaya vasina njere, “Vose vasina mano ngavauye muno!
Whoso [is] simple, let him turn in hither: and [as for] him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
17 Mvura yakabiwa inozipa; zvokudya zvinodyirwa muchivande zvinonaka!”
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread [eaten] in secret is pleasant.
18 Asi zvavasingazivi ndezvokuti mune vakafa, uye kuti vanomushanyira vari mukati kati meguva. (Sheol h7585)
But he knoweth not that the dead [are] there; [and that] her guests [are] in the depths of hell. (Sheol h7585)
