1 Ko, uchenjeri hahudanidziri here? Kunzwisisa hakusimudziri inzwi rako here?
Does not wisdom call out, and understanding raise her voice?
2 Panzvimbo dzakakwirira panzira, pamharadzano dzenzira, ndipo pahumire;
On the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads she takes her stand.
3 parutivi rwamasuo okupinda muguta, pamikova, hunodanidzirisa huchiti,
Beside the gates to the city, at the entrances she cries out:
4 “Kwamuri, imi varume, ndinodanidzira; ndinosimudzira inzwi rangu kuvanhu vose.
“To you, O men, I call out, and my cry is to the sons of men.
5 Imi vasina mano, wanai uchenjeri; imi mapenzi, wanai kunzwisisa.
O simple ones, learn to be shrewd; O fools, gain understanding.
6 Teererai, nokuti ndine zvinhu zvinokosha zvokutaura; ndinozarura muromo wangu kuti nditaure zvakarurama.
Listen, for I speak of noble things, and the opening of my lips will reveal right.
7 Muromo wangu unotaura zvokwadi, nokuti miromo yangu inovenga zvakaipa.
For my mouth will speak the truth, and wickedness is detestable to my lips.
8 Mashoko ose omuromo wangu akarurama; hapana kana rimwe rakakombama kana rakaipa.
All the words of my mouth are righteous; none are crooked or perverse.
9 Kune ane njere ose zvawo akarurama, akarurama kuna avo vane zivo.
They are all plain to the discerning, and upright to those who find knowledge.
10 Sarudza kurayira kwangu panzvimbo yesirivha, ruzivo panzvimbo yegoridhe rakaisvonaka,
Receive my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.
11 nokuti uchenjeri hunokosha kupfuura marubhi, uye hapana chaungada chingaenzaniswa nahwo.
For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire compares with her.
12 “Ini, uchenjeri ndinogara pamwe chete navakachenjera; ndine ruzivo nenjere.
I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.
13 Kutya Jehovha ndiko kuvenga zvakaipa; ndinovenga kuzvikudza namanyawi, maitiro akaipa nokutaura kunonyangadza.
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech.
14 Zano nokutonga kwakanaka ndezvangu; ndine kunzwisisa nesimba.
Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight and strength.
15 Madzimambo anobata ushe neni uye vatongi vanodzika mirayiro yakarurama;
By me kings reign, and rulers enact just laws;
16 machinda anofambisa ushe neni, navakuru vose vanotonga panyika.
By me princes rule, and all nobles who govern justly.
17 Ndinoda avo vanondida, uye vaya vanonditsvaka vanondiwana.
I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me.
18 Pfuma nokukudzwa zvineni, upfumi hunogara nokururama.
With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and righteousness.
19 Chibereko changu chakanaka kupfuura goridhe rakaisvonaka; zvandinobereka zvinopfuura sirivha yakaisvonaka.
My fruit is better than gold, pure gold, and my harvest surpasses choice silver.
20 Ndinofamba munzira dzokururama, pamakwara okururamisira,
I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,
21 ndichipa upfumi kuna avo vanondida, uye ndichiita kuti matura avo azare.
bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full.
22 “Jehovha akandibudisa sebasa rake rokutanga pamabasa ake, kutangira mabasa ake akare;
The LORD created me as His first course, before His works of old.
23 ndakagadzwa kubva pakusingaperi, kubva pakutanga, nyika isati yavapo.
From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, before the earth began.
24 Makungwa asati avapo, ndakaberekwa, pasati pava nezvitubu zvine mvura zhinji;
When there were no watery depths, I was brought forth, when no springs were overflowing with water.
25 makomo asati aiswa munzvimbo dzawo, zvikomo zvisati zvavapo, ndakaberekwa,
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth,
26 asati aita nyika neminda kana guruva ripi zvaro renyika.
before He made the land or fields, or any of the dust of the earth.
27 Ndakanga ndiripo paakaisa matenga munzvimbo dzawo, paakaita denderedzwa pamusoro pamakungwa,
I was there when He established the heavens, when He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep,
28 paakaita makore kudenga uye paakasimbisa zvitubu zvamakungwa,
when He established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep gushed forth,
29 paakapa gungwa miganhu yaro kuti mvura dzirege kudarika zvaakarayira, uye paakateya nheyo dzenyika.
when He set a boundary for the sea, so that the waters would not surpass His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth.
30 Ipapo ndini ndaiva mhizha parutivi rwake. Ndaigara ndichifara zuva nezuva, ndichifara nguva dzose pamberi pake,
Then I was a skilled craftsman at His side, and His delight day by day, rejoicing always in His presence.
31 ndichifadzwa nenyika yake yose uye ndichifadzwa navanhu vose.
I was rejoicing in His whole world, delighting together in the sons of men.
32 “Saka zvino, vanakomana vangu, teererai kwandiri; vakaropafadzwa avo vanochengeta nzira dzangu.
Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Teererai kurayira kwangu mugova vakachenjera; musakushayira hanya.
Listen to instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
34 Akaropafadzwa munhu anoteerera kwandiri, anorinda mazuva ose pamasuo angu. Anomira pamukova womusuo wangu.
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my doorway.
35 Nokuti ani naani anondiwana anowana upenyu uye anogamuchira nyasha kubva kuna Jehovha.
For whoever finds me finds life and obtains the favor of the LORD.
36 Asi ani naani asingandiwani anozvikuvadza; vose vanondivenga vanoda rufu.”
But he who fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”
