< Mateo 21 >
1 Vakati voswedera kuJerusarema uye vasvika muBhetifage pagomo reMiorivhi, Jesu akatuma vadzidzi vaviri,
When they came near to Jerusalem and came to Bethsphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 achiti kwavari, “Endai kumusha wamakatarisana nawo uye imomo muchaona mbongoro yakasungirirwa pamwe chete nomwana wayo. Mudzisunungure muuye nadzo kwandiri.
saying to them, “Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.
3 Kana pano munhu anotaura chinhu kwamuri, mumuudze kuti, Ishe anodzida uye achadzidzosa nokukurumidza.”
If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 Izvi zvakaitika kuti zvizadzise zvakataurwa kubudikidza nomuprofita achiti:
All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
5 “Muti kuMwanasikana weZioni, ‘Tarira, Mambo wako anouya kwauri, ari munyoro, akatasva mbongoro, ari pamusoro pomwana wembongoro.’”
“Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
6 Vadzidzi vakaenda vakandoita sezvavakanga varayirwa naJesu.
The disciples went and did just as Jesus commanded them,
7 Vakauya nembongoro nomwana wayo, vakaisa nguo dzavo pamusoro padzo, uye Jesu akagara pamusoro padzo.
and brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.
8 Vanhu vazhinji vakawarira nguo dzavo mumugwagwa, vamwewo vakatema mapazi emiti vakaawarira mumugwagwa.
A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9 Vazhinji vakanga vakatungamira mberi navaya vakanga vachitevera vakadanidzira vachiti: “Hosana kuMwanakomana waDhavhidhi!” “Akaropafadzwa uyo anouya muzita raIshe!” “Hosana kumusoro-soro!”
The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
10 Jesu akati apinda muJerusarema, guta rose rakazungunuswa, vakabvunza vachiti, “Ndianiko uyu?”
When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”
11 Vazhinji vakati, “Uyu ndiye Jesu, muprofita anobva kuNazareta kuGarirea.”
The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”
12 Jesu akapinda munzvimbo yetemberi akadzinga vose vaitenga nokutengesa. Akapidigura tafura dzavaitsinhanha mari nezvigaro zvavaitengesa njiva.
Jesus entered into the temple of God and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
13 Akati kwavari, “Kwakanyorwa kuchinzi, ‘Imba yangu ichanzi imba yokunyengetera,’ asi imi mava kuiita ‘bako ramakororo.’”
He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers!”
14 Mapofu navakaremara vakauya kwaari kutemberi, uye akavaporesa.
The lame and the blind came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
15 Asi vaprista vakuru navadzidzisi vomurayiro pavakaona zvinhu zvinoshamisa zvaakaita, uye vana vachidanidzira mutemberi vachiti, “Hosana kuMwanakomana waDhavhidhi,” vakatsamwa.
But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,
16 Vakamubvunza vachiti, “Uri kunzwa zviri kurehwa navana ava here?” Jesu akavapindura achiti, “Hongu, hamuna kurava here panoti: “‘Pamiromo yavana navacheche makaisa rumbidzo’?”
and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have perfected praise’?”
17 Uye akavasiya akabuda muguta umu akaenda kuBhetani kwaakandovata.
He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and camped there.
18 Mangwanani-ngwanani, paakanga ari munzira achidzokera kuguta, akanzwa nzara.
Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.
19 Akati aona muonde pedyo nomugwagwa, akatsaukira pauri asi haana kuwana chinhu pauri kunze kwamashizha. Ipapo akati kwauri, “Ngakurege kuva nemicherozve pauri!” Pakarepo muti uya wakabva wasvava. (aiōn )
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, "Let there be no fruit from you for the age (aiōn )!" Immediately the fig tree withered away.
20 Vadzidzi vakati vazviona, vakakatyamara, vakati, “Ko, muonde uyu wabva wasvava pakarepo sei?”
When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”
21 Jesu akapindura akati, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi kuti kana mune kutenda uye musingakahadziki, hamungaiti zvaitwa kumuonde uyu chete, asi munogonawo kuti kugomo iri, ‘Enda undozvikanda mugungwa’ uye zvichaitika.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.
22 Kana muchitenda, muchagamuchira zvose zvamunokumbira mukunyengetera.”
All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
23 Jesu akapinda muruvazhe rwetemberi, uye paakanga achidzidzisa, vaprista vakuru navakuru vavanhu vakauya kwaari. Vakamubvunza vakati, “Muri kuita zvinhu izvi nesimba ripi? Uye ndiani akakupai simba irori?”
When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”
24 Jesu akapindura akati, “Nemiwo ndichakubvunzai mubvunzo mumwe chete. Kana mukandipindura ndichakuudzaiwo simba randiri kuita naro zvinhu izvi.
Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
25 Rubhabhatidzo rwaJohani rwakabvepi? Rwakabva kudenga here kana kuvanhu?” Vakataurirana pakati pavo vachiti, “Kana tikati, ‘Rwakabva kudenga’ achazobvunza kuti, ‘Zvino makaregerei kumutenda?’
The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
26 Asi kana tikati, ‘Rwakabva kuvanhu,’ tinotya vanhu, nokuti vose vanotenda kuti Johani aiva muprofita.”
But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.”
27 Saka vakapindura Jesu vachiti, “Hatizivi.” Ipapo iye akati, “Neni handingakuudzeiwo simba randinoita naro zvinhu izvi.”
They answered Jesus, and said, “We do not know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28 “Munofungei nazvo? Paiva nomurume aiva navanakomana vaviri. Akaenda kuno wokutanga akati, ‘Mwanangu, enda nhasi unoshanda mumunda wemizambiringa.’
But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’
29 “Akapindura achiti, ‘Handidi,’ asi pashure akazvidemba uye akazoenda hake.
He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.
30 “Ipapo baba vaya vakaenda kuno mumwe mwanakomana vakasvikomuudza zvimwe chetezvo. Iye akapindura achiti, ‘Ndichaenda, baba’ asi haana kuenda.
He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I am going, sir,’ but he did not go.
31 “Ndoupiko pavaviri ava akaita zvaidiwa nababa vake?” Vakapindura vachiti, “Wokutanga.” Jesu akati kwavari, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, vateresi nezvifeve vari kukutangirai kupinda muumambo hwaMwari.
Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into God’s Kingdom before you.
32 Nokuti Johani akauya kwamuri kuti azokuratidzai nzira yokururama, mukasamutenda, asi vateresi nezvifeve vakatenda. Uye kunyange mushure mokunge maona izvi hamuna kutendeuka mukamutenda.
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you did not even repent afterward, that you might believe him.
33 “Inzwai mumwe mufananidzo. Kwakanga kuno mumwe murume akanga arima munda wake wemizambiringa. Akaukomberedza noruzhowa, akacherera chisviniro chewaini uye akavaka shongwe. Ipapo akasiya munda womuzambiringa kuvarimi vaimupa mari ndokuenda parwendo rurefu.
“Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.
34 Nguva yokukohwa yakati yasvika, akatuma varanda vake kuvarimi vaya kuti vandotora zvibereko zvake.
When the season for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive his fruit.
35 “Varimi vakabata varanda vaya, vakarova mumwe, vakauraya mumwe, uye vakataka wechitatu namabwe.
The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
36 Ipapo akatumazve vamwe varanda kwavari, vakawanda kupfuura vokutanga, varimi vakavaitira zvimwe chetezvo.
Again, he sent other servants more than the first; and they treated them the same way.
37 Pakupedzisira akatuma mwanakomana wake kwavari. Akati, ‘Vacharemekedza mwanakomana wangu.’
But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
38 “Asi varimi pavakaona mwanakomana vakataurirana vakati, ‘Uyu ndiye mudyi wenhaka. Uyai timuuraye, tigotora nhaka yake.’
But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and seize his inheritance.’
39 Saka vakamutora vakamubudisa kunze kwemunda wemizambiringa vakamuuraya.
So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard, then killed him.
40 “Naizvozvo, panouya muridzi womunda womuzambiringa achaiteiko kuvarimi avo?”
When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”
41 Vakapindura vakati, “Achaparadza varimi vakaipa ava, uye achapa munda womuzambiringa kuna vamwe varimi avo vachazomupa mugove wake wezvirimwa pakukohwa.”
They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers who will give him the fruit in its season.”
42 Jesu akati kwavari, “Hamuna kutomborava here muMagwaro panoti: “‘Ibwe rakarambwa navavaki ndiro rakazova musoro wekona. Ishe aita izvi, uye zvinoshamisa pamberi pedu’?
Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?
43 “Naizvozvo ndinokuudzai kuti umambo hwaMwari huchatorwa kubva kwamuri huchipiwa kuvanhu vachabereka zvibereko zvahwo.
“Therefore I tell you, God’s Kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.
44 Uyo anowira pamusoro pebwe iri achavhunika kuita zvidimbu zvidimbu asi uyo warichawira achapwanyiwa.”
He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”
45 Vaprista vakuru navaFarisi pavakanzwa mifananidzo yaJesu, vakaziva kuti aitaura nezvavo.
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.
46 Vakatsvaka nzira yokuti vamusunge nayo, asi vakatya vanhu vazhinji nokuti vakanga vachiti muprofita.
When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.
