< Mateo 19 >

1 Jesu akati apedza kutaura zvinhu izvi, akabva kuGarirea akaenda kudunhu reJudhea mhiri kwaJorodhani.
Now it happened, when Jesus had finished these words, that He departed from Galilee and went to the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 Vanhu vazhinji zhinji vakamutevera uye akavaporesa ikoko.
And large crowds followed Him and there He healed them.
3 Vamwe vaFarisi vakauya kwaari kuzomuedza. Vakamubvunza vachiti, “Zviri pamutemo here kuti murume arambe mukadzi wake nokuda kwechikonzero chipi nechipi zvacho?”
The Pharisees also came to Him to test Him, saying to Him, “Is it permissible for a man to divorce his wife for just any cause?”
4 Akavapindura achiti, “Hamuna kuverenga here kuti kubva pakutanga Musiki akavaita munhurume nomunhukadzi,
So in answer He said to them: “Have you never read that the Creator at the beginning made them a male and a female?
5 akati, ‘Nokuda kwaizvozvo murume achasiya baba namai vake agobatanidzwa nomukadzi wake, vaviri ava vachava nyama imwe chete?’
And He said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be turned into one flesh.’
6 Saka havachisiri vaviri asi mumwe chete. Naizvozvo chabatanidzwa naMwari pamwe chete, hapana munhu anofanira kuchiparadzanisa.”
So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God joined together let not man separate!”
7 Vakabvunzazve vachiti, “Sei Mozisi akarayira kuti murume ape mukadzi wake rugwaro rwokumuramba obva amuendesa?”
They say to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce and to dismiss her?”
8 Jesu akapindura achiti, “Mozisi akakubvumirai kuramba vakadzi venyu nokuda kwoukukutu hwemwoyo yenyu. Asi zvainge zvisina kudaro kubva pakutanga.
He says to them: “Because of your hard-heartedness Moses permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 Ndinokuudzai kuti ani naani anoramba mukadzi wake, kunze chete nokuda kwoupombwe, akazowana mumwe mukadzi, atoita upombwe.”
And I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries a divorcee commits adultery.”
10 Vadzidzi vake vakati kwaari, “Kana ari iwo mamiriro azvakaita pakati pomurume nomukadzi, zviri nani kusawana.”
His disciples say to Him, “If that's the situation of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry!”
11 Jesu akapindura akati kwavari, “Haasi wose anogamuchira shoko iri, asi kune avo chete vakaripiwa.
So He said to them: “Not all can assimilate this word, but those to whom it has been given.
12 Nokuti kune ngomwa dzakaberekwa dzakadaro; dzimwe dziriko dzakaitwa navanhu; dzimwe dzakazviita ngomwa nokuda kwoumambo hwokudenga. Uyo anogona kugamuchira shoko iri ngaarigamuchire.”
For there are eunuchs who were born that way, from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were castrated by men; and there are eunuchs who castrated themselves for the sake of the kingdom of the heavens. He who is able to assimilate it, let him assimilate.”
13 Ipapo vana vaduku vakauyiswa kuna Jesu kuti aise maoko ake pamusoro pavo, uye kuti avanyengeterere. Asi vadzidzi vakatsiura vaya vakanga vauya navo.
Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them.
14 Jesu akati, “Regai vana vaduku vauye kwandiri, musavadzivisa, nokuti umambo hwokudenga ndohwavakadai.”
So Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens.”
15 Akati aisa maoko ake pamusoro pavo, akabva ipapo.
And after laying hands on them He moved on from there.
16 Zvino mumwe murume akauya kuna Jesu akamubvunza achiti, “Mudzidzisi, ndechipi chinhu chakanaka chandingaita kuti ndiwane upenyu husingaperi?” (aiōnios g166)
And then, a certain one came and said to Him, “Good teacher, what good thing must I do so that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 Jesu akati kwaari, “Unondibvunzireiko pamusoro pezvakanaka? Kunongova noMumwe chete akanaka. Kana uchida kupinda muupenyu, teerera mirayiro.”
But He said to him: “Why do you call me good? No one is good except One, God. But if you want to enter into the life, keep the commandments.”
18 Murume uya akabvunza achiti, “Ipiko?” Jesu akapindura akati, “‘Usauraya, usaita upombwe, usaba, usapupura nhema.
He says to Him, “Which ones?” So Jesus said: “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not give false witness,’
19 Kudza baba vako namai vako uye ude muvakidzani wako sokuzvida kwaunozviita iwe.’”
‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 Jaya riya rakati, “Zvose ndakazvichengeta. Chii chandichiri kushayiwa?”
The young man says to Him: “I have kept all these things since my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesu akati, “Kana uchida kuva wakakwana, enda unotengesa zvose zvaunazvo ugopa varombo, ugozova nepfuma kudenga. Ipapo ugouya wonditevera.”
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow me.”
22 Jaya riya parakanzwa izvi, rakaenda rakasuwa kwazvo nokuti raiva nepfuma zhinji kwazvo.
So upon hearing that word the young man went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
23 Ipapo Jesu akati kuvadzidzi vake, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, zvakaoma kuti mupfumi apinde muumambo hwokudenga.
Then Jesus said to His disciples: “Assuredly I say to you that only with difficulty will a rich person enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
24 Ndinotizve zvakareruka kuti ngamera ipinde nepaburi retsono pano kuti mupfumi apinde muumambo hwaMwari.”
And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”
25 Vadzidzi vakati vanzwa izvi vakakatyamara zvikuru vakabvunza vachiti, “Ndiani zvino achaponeswa?”
Upon hearing it His disciples were really flabbergasted saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Jesu akavatarisa akati, “Kuvanhu izvi hazvigoneki asi kuna Mwari zvinhu zvose zvinogoneka.”
So looking at them Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Petro akamupindura akati, “Takasiya zvose kuti tikuteverei! Zvino tichawaneiko?”
Then Peter answered and said to Him: “See, we have left all and followed you. So what will we have?”
28 Jesu akati kwavari, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, kuti pakuvandudzwa kwezvinhu zvose, Mwanakomana woMunhu paachagara pachigaro chake chokubwinya, imi makanditevera muchagarawo pazvigaro gumi nezviviri muchitonga marudzi gumi namaviri eIsraeri.
So Jesus said to them: “Assuredly I say to you that in the Regeneration, when the Son of the Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Uye vose vakasiya dzimba, kana vakoma kana vanunʼuna kana hanzvadzi kana baba kana mai kana vana kana minda nokuda kwangu vachagamuchira zvakapetwa kazana, uye vachagara nhaka youpenyu husingaperi. (aiōnios g166)
And, everyone who left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my name's sake will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
30 Asi vazhinji vokutanga vachava vokupedzisira uye navazhinji vokupedzisira vachava vokutanga.
But many ‘first’ will be last, and ‘last’ first.
