< Mako 10 >

1 Uye Jesu akabva panzvimbo iyoyo akaenda munyika yeJudhea uye akayambuka mhiri kweJorodhani. Vanhu vazhinji vakauyazve kwaari, uye sezvayakanga iri tsika yake, akavadzidzisa.
Soon on His feet once more, He enters the district of Judaea and crosses the Jordan: again the people flock to Him, and ere long, as was usual with Him, He was teaching them once more.
2 Vamwe vaFarisi vakauya vakamuedza nokumubvunza vachiti, “Zvinotenderwa here kuti munhu arambe mukadzi wake?”
Presently a party of Pharisees come to Him with the question--seeking to entrap Him, "May a man divorce his wife?"
3 Iye akati, “Mozisi akakurayirai kuti kudiniko?”
"What rule did Moses lay down for you?" He answered.
4 Ivo vakati, “Mozisi akatendera murume kuti anyore tsamba yokurambana uye agomuendesa.”
"Moses," they said, "permitted a man to draw up a written notice of divorce, and to send his wife away."
5 Jesu akapindura akati, “Nokuti mwoyo yenyu yakanga iri mikukutu, Mozisi akakunyorerai murayiro uyu.
"It was in consideration of your stubborn hearts," said Jesus, "that Moses enacted this law for you;
6 Asi kubvira kumavambo okusikwa kwezvinhu, Mwari ‘akavaita murume nomukadzi.’
but from the beginning of the creation the rule was, 'Male and female did God make them.
7 Nokuda kwaizvozvi, murume achasiya baba vake namai vake uye agonamatira kumukadzi wake,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cling to his wife,
8 uye vaviri ava vachava nyama imwe. Saka havachisiri vaviri, asi nyama imwe.
and the two shall be one'; so that they are two no longer, but 'one.'
9 Naizvozvo izvo zvabatanidzwa naMwari, munhu ngaarege kuzviparadzanisa.”
What, therefore, God has joined together let not man separate."
10 Vakati vapindazve mumba, vadzidzi vakabvunza Jesu pamusoro paizvozvi.
Indoors the disciples began questioning Jesus again on the same subject.
11 Akapindura akati, “Ani naani anoramba mukadzi wake uye akawana mumwe mukadzi, ava kuita upombwe naye.
He replied, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman, commits adultery against the first wife;
12 Uye kana iye akarambawo murume wake uye akawanikwa nomumwe murume, anoita upombwe naye.”
and if a woman puts away her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
13 Vanhu vakanga vachiuya navana vaduku kuna Jesu kuti avabate, asi vadzidzi vakavatsiura.
One day people were bringing young children to Jesus for Him to touch them, but the disciples interfered.
14 Jesu paakazviona, akatsamwa. Akati kwavari, “Regai vana vaduku vauye kwandiri, uye musavadzivisa, nokuti umambo hwaMwari ndohwavakadai.
Jesus, however, on seeing this, was moved to indignation, and said to them, "Let the little children come to me: do not hinder them; for to those who are childlike the Kingdom of God belongs.
15 Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, ani naani asingagamuchiri umambo hwaMwari somwana muduku haangatongopindi mahuri.”
In solemn truth I tell you that no one who does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will by any possibility enter it."
16 Ipapo akatora vana akavafungatira mumaoko ake, akaisa maoko ake pamusoro pavo akavaropafadza.
Then He took them in His arms and blessed them lovingly, one by one, laying His hands upon them.
17 Jesu akati achifamba munzira, mumwe murume akamhanyira kwaari akawira pasi namabvi ake pamberi pake. Akabvunza akati, “Mudzidzisi akanaka, ndinofanira kuiteiko kuti ndigare nhaka youpenyu husingaperi?” (aiōnios g166)
As He went out to resume His journey, there came a man running up to Him, who knelt at His feet and asked, "Good Rabbi, what am I to do in order to inherit the Life of the Ages?" (aiōnios g166)
18 Jesu akapindura akati, “Unondiidzireiko akanaka? Hakuna munhu akanaka kunze kwaMwari oga.
"Why do you call me good?" asked Jesus in reply; "there is no one truly good except One--that is, God.
19 Mirayiro unoiziva here inoti: ‘Usauraya, usaita upombwe, usaba, usapupura nhema, usanyengera, kudza baba vako namai vako.’”
You know the Commandments--'Do not murder;' 'Do not commit adultery;' 'Do not steal;' 'Do not lie in giving evidence;' 'Do not defraud;' 'Honour thy father and thy mother.'"
20 Iye akati, “Mudzidzisi, izvi zvose ndakazvichengeta kubvira ndichiri mukomana.”
"Rabbi," he replied, "all these Commandments I have carefully obeyed from my youth."
21 Jesu akamutarira uye akamuda, akati kwaari, “Unoshayiwa chinhu chimwe chete. Enda undotengesa zvinhu zvose zvaunazvo upe kuvarombo, ugova nepfuma kudenga. Ipapo ugouya, unditevere.”
Then Jesus looked at him and loved him, and said, "One thing is lacking in you: go, sell all you possess and give the proceeds to the poor, and you shall have riches in Heaven; and come and be a follower of mine."
22 Anzwa izvi akasuwa kwazvo. Akaenda akasuwa, nokuti akanga ane pfuma zhinji.
At these words his brow darkened, and he went away sad; for he was possessed of great wealth.
23 Jesu akatarira-tarira ndokuti kuvadzidzi vake, “Zvakaoma sei kuti mupfumi apinde muumambo hwaMwari!”
Then looking round on His disciples Jesus said, "With how hard a struggle will the possessors of riches enter the Kingdom of God!"
24 Vadzidzi vakashamiswa namashoko ake. Asi Jesu akatizve, “Vana, zvakaoma sei kupinda muumambo hwaMwari!
The disciples were amazed at His words. Jesus, however, said again, "Children, how hard a struggle is it for those who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God!
25 Zviri nyore kuti ngamera ipinde napaburi retsono pano kuti mupfumi apinde muumambo hwaMwari.”
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."
26 Vadzidzi vakanyanya kushamiswa, uye vakati pakati pavo, “Zvino ndianiko angaponeswa?”
They were astonished beyond measure, and said to one another, "Who then can be saved?"
27 Jesu akatarisa kwavari akati, “Kumunhu hazvigoneki, asi kwete naMwari; zvinhu zvose zvinogoneka kuna Mwari.”
Jesus looking on them said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for everything is possible with God."
28 Petro akati kwaari, “Isu takasiya zvinhu zvose kuti tikuteverei!”
"Remember," said Peter to Him, "that we forsook everything and have become your followers."
29 Jesu akapindura akati, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, hakuna munhu akasiya musha, kana vanunʼuna kana hanzvadzi kana mai kana baba kana vana kana minda nokuda kwangu uye nokuda kwevhangeri
"In solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that there is no one who has forsaken house or brothers or sisters, or mother or father, or children or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the Good News,
30 achakundikana kugamuchira zvakawanda kakapetwa kazana munguva ino (misha, vanunʼuna, hanzvadzi, vanamai, vana neminda, uye pamwe chete naizvozvo, kutambudzika) uye panguva inouya, upenyu husingaperi. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but will receive a hundred times as much now in this present life--houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands--and persecution with them--and in the coming age the Life of the Ages. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Asi vazhinji vanova vokutanga ndivo vachava vokupedzisira, uye vokupedzisira vachava vokutanga.”
But many who are now first will be last, and the last, first."
32 Vakanga vari munzira vachikwidza kuenda kuJerusarema, Jesu achivatungamirira, uye vadzidzi vakakatyamara, asi vaya vakanga vachitevera vakanga vachitya. Akatorazve vane gumi navaviri vari voga uye akavaudza zvaizoitika kwaari.
They were still on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; they were full of wonder, and some, though they followed, did so with fear. Then, once more calling to Him the Twelve, He began to tell them what was about to happen to Him.
33 Akati, “Tiri kuenda kuJerusarema, uye Mwanakomana woMunhu achapandukirwa agoiswa kuvaprista vakuru navadzidzisi vomurayiro. Vachamutongera rufu uye vachamuisa mumaoko eveDzimwe Ndudzi,
"See," He said, "we are going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the High Priests and the Scribes. They will condemn Him to death, and will hand Him over to the Gentiles;
34 avo vachamuseka uye vagomupfira mate, vachamurova uye vagomuuraya. Shure kwamazuva matatu, achamuka.”
they will insult Him in cruel sport, spit on Him, scourge Him, and put Him to death; but on the third day He will rise to life again."
35 Ipapo Jakobho naJohani vanakomana vaZebhedhi, vakauya kwaari, vakati, “Mudzidzisi, tinoda kuti mutiitire zvose zvose zvatinokumbira.”
Then James and John, the sons of Zabdi, came up to Him and said, "Rabbi, we wish you would grant us whatever request we make of you."
36 Akavabvunza akati, “Munoda kuti ndikuitireiko?”
"What would you have me do for you?" He asked.
37 Vakapindura vakati, “Titenderei kuti mumwe wedu agare kuruoko rwenyu rworudyi uye mumwe kuruboshwe rwenyu mukubwinya kwenyu.”
"Allow us," they replied, "to sit one at your right hand and the other at your left hand, in your glory."
38 Jesu akati, “Hamuzivi zvamunokumbira. Mungagona here kunwa mukombe wandinonwa kana kubhabhatidzwa norubhabhatidzo rwandinobhabhatidzwa narwo?”
"You know not," said He, "what you are asking. Are you able to drink out of the cup from which I am to drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am to be baptized?"
39 Vakapindura vakati, “Tinogona.” Jesu akati, “Muchanwa mukombe wandinonwa uye muchabhabhatidzwa norubhabhatidzo rwandinobhabhatidzwa narwo,
"We are able," they replied. "Out of the cup," said Jesus, "from which I am to drink you shall drink, and with the baptism with which I am to be baptized you shall be baptized;
40 asi zvokugara kuruoko rwangu rworudyi kana kuruboshwe handisini ndinozvipa. Nzvimbo idzi ndedzavaya vakadzigadzirirwa.”
but as to sitting at my right hand or at my left, that is not mine to give: it will be for those for whom it is reserved."
41 Vane gumi vakati vanzwa izvi, vakatsamwira Jakobho naJohani.
The other ten, hearing of it, were at first highly indignant with James and John.
42 Jesu akavadana pamwe chete akati, “Munoziva kuti vaya vanonzi vatongi neveDzimwe Ndudzi vanotonga pamusoro pavo, uye vabati vavo vakuru vanoshandisa simba pamusoro pavo.
Jesus, however, called them to Him and said to them, "You are aware how those who are deemed rulers among the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men make them feel their authority;
43 Hazvina kudaro pakati penyu. Pachinzvimbo chaizvozvo, ani naani anoda kuva mukuru pakati penyu anofanira kuva muranda wenyu,
but it is not to be so among you. No, whoever desires to be great among you must be your servant;
44 uye ani naani anoda kuva wokutanga anofanira kuva nhapwa yavose.
and whoever desires to be first among you must be the bondservant of all.
45 Nokuti kunyange Mwanakomana woMunhu haana kuuya kuzoshumirwa, asi kuzoshumira uye nokupa upenyu hwake kuti huve rudzikinuro rwavazhinji.”
For the Son of Man also did not come to be waited upon, but to wait on others, and to give His life as the redemption-price for a multitude of people."
46 Ipapo vakasvika kuJeriko. Jesu navadzidzi vake, pamwe chete navanhu vazhinji, vakati vobuda muguta, Bhatimeo, murume akanga ari bofu, (ndiye mwanakomana waTimeo), akanga agere parutivi penzira achipemha.
They came to Jericho; and as He was leaving that town--Himself and His disciples and a great crowd--Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the way-side.
47 Paakanzwa kuti akanga ari Jesu weNazareta, akatanga kudanidzira achiti, “Mwanakomana waDhavhidhi, ndinzwirei ngoni!”
Hearing that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, "Son of David, Jesus, have pity on me."
48 Vazhinji vakamutsiura uye vakamutaurira kuti anyarare, asi akanyanyisa kudanidzira achiti, “Mwanakomana waDhavhidhi, ndinzwirei ngoni!”
Many angrily told him to leave off shouting; but he only cried out all the louder, "Son of David, have pity on me."
49 Jesu akamira akati, “Mudanei.” Saka vakadana murume uya bofu vakati, “Tsunga mwoyo! Simuka! Anokudana.”
Then Jesus stood still. "Call him," He said. So they called the blind man. "Cheer up," they said; "rise, he is calling you."
50 Akakanda jasi rake parutivi, akakwakuka akauya kuna Jesu.
The man flung away his outer garment, sprang to his feet, and came to Jesus.
51 Jesu akamubvunza akati, “Unoda kuti ndikuitirei?” Murume uya bofu akati, “Rabhi, ndinoda kuona.”
"What shall I do for you?" said Jesus. "Rabboni," replied the blind man, "let me recover my sight."
52 Jesu akati, “Enda hako, kutenda kwako kwakuporesa.” Pakarepo meso ake akasvinudzwa uye akatevera Jesu munzira.
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has cured you." Instantly he regained his sight, and followed Him along the road.
