< Ruka 17 >
1 Jesu akati kuvadzidzi vake, “Zvinhu zvinoita kuti vanhu vatadze zvinototi zviuye, asi ane nhamo munhu uyo anouya nazvo.
Then He said to the disciples: “Things that cause people to fall are bound to come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
2 Zvaiva nani kwaari kuti guyo risungirirwe pamutsipa wake agokandwa mugungwa pano kuti atadzise mumwe wavaduku ava.
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall.
3 Saka zvingwarirei. “Kana hama yako ichitadza, itsiure, uye kana akatendeuka, umuregerere.
Watch out for yourselves: if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
4 Kana akakutadzira kanomwe pazuva, uye akadzoka kwauri kanomwe achiti, ‘Ndatendeuka,’ muregerere.”
Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in that day returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
5 Vapostori vakati kuna She, “Tiwedzereiwo kutenda kwedu!”
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6 Iye akati, “Kana muno kutenda kuduku duku setsanga yemasitadhi, munogona kuti kumuti womuonde uyu, ‘Dzurwa usimwe mugungwa,’ uye uchakuteererai.
So the Lord said: “If you had faith like a mustard seed has, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 “Ngatitii mumwe wenyu anga aine muranda anorima kana kuti anofudza makwai. Angati here kumuranda paanopinda achibva kumunda, ‘Uya pano iye zvino ugare pasi udye’?
“And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?
8 Ko, haangati here, ‘Ndigadzirire chokudya changu, uzvigadzirire iwe ugondimirira pandinenge ndichidya nokunwa; shure kwaizvozvo iwe ungazodya hako nokunwa’?
Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
9 Ko, angavonga muranda nokuda kwokuti akaita zvaakaudzwa here?
Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!
10 Saka nemiwo, pamunenge maita zvose zvamakaudzwa kuti muite, munofanira kuti, ‘Tiri varanda vasina maturo; tangoita zvatanga tichifanira kuita.’”
So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’”
11 Zvino ari munzira achienda kuJerusarema, Jesu akafamba achitevedza muganhu waiva pakati peSamaria neGarirea.
Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.
12 Paakanga opinda mumusha, varume gumi vaiva namaperembudzi vakasangana naye. Vakamira vari nechokure
And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.
13 uye vakadanidzira nenzwi guru vachiti, “Jesu, Tenzi, tinzwireiwo ngoni!”
They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 Akati achivaona, akati kwavari, “Endai munozviratidza kuvaprista.” Uye pavaienda, vakabva vanatswa.
And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!
15 Mumwe wavo akati aona kuti akanga aporeswa, akadzoka achirumbidza Mwari nenzwi guru.
Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;
16 Akazviwisira patsoka dzaJesu akamuvonga. Uye akanga ari muSamaria.
then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!
17 Jesu akati, “Ko, havasi vose gumi vakaporeswa here? Ko, vamwe vapfumbamwe varipi?
So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?
18 Kwashayikwa mumwe woga adzoka akazorumbidza Mwari kunze kwouyu mutorwa here?”
None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”
19 Ipapo akati kwaari, “Simuka uende; kutenda kwako kwakuporesa.”
Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”
20 Akati abvunzwa navaFarisi kuti umambo hwaMwari hwaizosvika riini, Jesu akapindura akati, “Umambo hwaMwari hahuuyi nokunyatsocherechedza kwenyu,
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
21 uye vanhu havangati, ‘Hohuno pano’ kana kuti ‘Uho uko,’ nokuti umambo hwaMwari huri mamuri.”
nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”
22 Ipapo akati kuvadzidzi vake, “Nguva iri kuuya yamuchashuva kuona rimwe ramazuva oMwanakomana woMunhu, asi hamuzorioni.
Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.
23 Vanhu vachati kwamuri, ‘Hoyo uko!’ kana kuti ‘Houno pano!’ Musamhanya muchivatevera.
And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.
24 Nokuti semheni inopenya ichivhenekera muchadenga ichibva kuno rumwe rutivi ichienda kuno rumwe rutivi, ndizvo zvichaita Mwanakomana woMunhu pazuva rake.
Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.
25 Asi anofanira kutanga kumbotambudzika zvikuru uye acharambwa norudzi urwu.
But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 “Sezvazvakanga zvakaita pamazuva aNoa, ndizvo zvazvichaitawo mumazuva oMwanakomana woMunhu.
Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.
27 Vanhu vaidya, vachinwa, vachiwana nokuwaniswa kusvikira zuva rakapinda Noa muareka. Ipapo mafashamu akasvika akavaparadza vose.
They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 “Zvakanga zvakadarowo pamazuva aRoti. Vanhu vakanga vachidya nokunwa, vachitonga nokutongesa, vachidyara nokuvaka.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—
29 Asi pazuva rakabuda Roti muSodhomu, moto nesuriferi zvakanaya, zvichibva kudenga zvikavaparadza vose.
but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 “Zvichaita saizvozvo pazuva iro Mwanakomana woMunhu acharatidzwa.
Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.
31 Pazuva iro hakuna munhu ari pamusoro pedenga remba, ane nhumbi dzake mukati memba, anofanira kuburuka kuti andodzitora. Saizvozvowo, hakuna munhu ari kumunda achadzokera chinhu chero chipi zvacho.
“In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to get them; and likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back.
32 Rangarirai mukadzi waRoti!
Remember Lot's wife!
33 Ani naani anoedza kuchengetedza upenyu hwake acharasikirwa nahwo, uye ani naani anorasikirwa noupenyu hwake achahuponesa.
Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever ‘wastes’ it will preserve it.
34 Ndinoti kwamuri, pazuva iro vanhu vaviri vachange vari pamubhedha mumwe; mumwe achatorwa mumwe achisiyiwa.
I tell you: on that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
35 Vakadzi vaviri vachange vachikuya zviyo pamwe chete; mumwe achatorwa uye mumwe achasiyiwa.
Two women will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other left.”
36 Varume vachange vari mumunda, mumwe achatorwa uye mumwe achasiyiwa.”
37 Vakamubvunza vakati, “Kupiko Ishe?” Akapindura akati, “Pano mutumbi, ndipo panoungana magora.”
They reacted by saying to Him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where there is a carcass, there will the vultures also be gathered.”
