1 Nzvimbo yakapiwa rudzi rwaJudha, mhuri nemhuri, yaisvika kunyika yeEdhomu kuGwenga reZini zasi kumagumo chaiko.
Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.
2 Muganhu wavo wezasi waitangira pamuganhu weGungwa roMunyu,
Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:
3 uchiyambukira zasi kwoMupata weChinyavada uchipfuurira kuenda kuZini uchizopfuurira kuenda nechezasi kweKadheshi Bharinea. Ipapo waienda uchipfuura nepaHezironi kusvika kuAdhari uchikombamira kuKarika.
From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:
4 Ipapo waipfuurira kuAzimoni uchindobatana neRwizi rweIjipiti wogumira kugungwa. Uyu ndiwo muganhu wavo wezasi.
Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.
5 Muganhu wokumabvazuva ndiwo Gungwa roMunyu kusvikira kumuromo werwizi rweJorodhani. Muganhu wokumusoro waitangira kugungwa pamuromo weJorodhani,
And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:
6 uchienda kuBheti Hogira, ndokupfuurira nokumusoro kweBheti Arabha kusvika kubwe raBhohani mwanakomana waRubheni.
Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
7 Ipapo muganhu waizokwira kuDhebhiri uchibva paMupata weAkori uye uchidzokera nechokumusoro wakananga kuGirigari, pakatarisana noMupata weAdhumimi nechezasi kwomupata. Waipfuurira napamvura yeEni Shemeshi ndokuzobudira kuEri Rogeri.
Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:
8 Ipapo waikwira napamupata waBheni waHinomi wakanga uri zasi kwamateru eguta ravaJebhusi (rinova Jerusarema). Kubva ipapo waikwira kumusoro kwechikomo kumavirira kwomupata waHinomi nechokumusoro kwamagumo oMupata weRefaimi.
Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:
9 Kubva pamusoro pechikomo, muganhu wainanga kuchitubu chemvura zhinji yeNefutoa, uchibudira kumaguta eGomo reEfuroni ndokuzoburuka wakananga Bhaara iro Kiriati.
And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):
10 Ipapo waikombamira kumavirira uchibva paBhaara kusvika paGomo reSeiri uchienda nokumawere eGomo reJearimi (iro Kesaroni), ndokupfuurira pasi kuBheti Shemeshi uchizoyambukira kuTimina.
Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:
11 Waiendawo nokumawere echokumusoro kweEkironi, uchidzoka wakananga kuShikeroni, uchipfuura nokuGomo reBhaara uchisvika kuJabhuneeri. Muganhu waindogumira kugungwa.
And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.
12 Muganhu wokumavirira ndiwo mahombekombe eGungwa Guru. Iyi ndiyo miganhu yakapoteredza Judha zvichienderana nedzimba dzavo.
And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.
13 Joshua akapa Karebhu mwanakomana weJefune mugove pakati pavana vaJudha sezvaakarayirwa naJehovha, akamupa Kiriati Abha, iro Hebhuroni. (Abha akanga ari tateguru waAnaki.)
And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.
14 Karebhu akadzinga vanakomana vatatu vaAnaki vaiti Sheshai, Ahimani naTarimani zvizvarwa zvaAnaki kubva paHebhuroni.
And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.
15 Kubva ipapo akandorwa navanhu vaigara kuDhebhiri (yaimbonzi Kiriati Seferi).
From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)
16 Karebhu akati, “Munhu anorwa neKenati Seferi akarikunda ndichamupa mukunda wangu, Akisa ave mukadzi wake.”
And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.
17 Otinieri mwanakomana waKenazi, mununʼuna waKarebhu akarikunda; saka Karebhu akamupa mwanasikana wake Akisa akava mukadzi wake.
And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.

Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?
19 Iye akati, “Ndiitirei nyasha. Zvamakandipa nyika yeNegevhi, ndipeiwo zvakare matsime emvura.” Naizvozvo Karebhu akamupa matsime okumusoro neezasi.
And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.
20 Iyi ndiyo nhaka yorudzi rwaJudha, mhuri nemhuri:
This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.
21 Maguta ezasi zasi erudzi rwaJudha kuNegevhi kwakanangana nomuganhu weEdhomu aiva: Kabhizeeri, Edheri, Jaguri,
The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
22 Kina, Dhimona, Adhadha,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
23 Kedheshi, Hazori, Itinani,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
24 Zifi, Teremi, Bhearoti,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
25 Hazori Hadhata, Kerioti Hezironi (iro Hazori),
And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);
26 Amami, Shema, Moradha,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
27 Hazari Gadha, Heshimoni, Bheti Pereti,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
28 Hazari Shuari, Bheerishebha, Bhiziotia,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
29 Bhaara, Riyimi, Ezemi,
Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
30 Eritoradhi, Kesiri, Hurima,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
31 Zikiragi, Madhimana, Sanisana,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
32 Rebhaoti, Shirimi, Aini, Rimoni, maguta anokwana makumi maviri namapfumbamwe pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.
33 Mujinga mamakomo okumavirira maiva ne: Eshitaori, Zora neAshina,
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
34 Zanoa, Eni Ganimi, Tapuwa, Enami,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 Jarimuti, Adhuramu, Soko, Azeka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 Shaaraimi, Adhitaimi, neGedhera (kana kuti Gedherotaimi) anova maguta gumi namana pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.
37 Zenani, Hadhasha, Migidhari Gadhi,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
38 Dhireani, Mizipa, Jokiteeri,
And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
39 Rakishi, Bhozikati, Egironi,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
40 Kabhoni, Ramasi, Kitireishi,
And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
41 Gedheroti, Bheti Dhagoni, Naama, neMakedha anova maguta gumi namatanhatu pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
42 Ribhina, Eteri, Ashani,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
43 Ifita, Ashina, Nezibhi,
And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
44 Keira, Akizibhi, Maresha anova maguta mapfumbamwe pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.
45 Ekironi, nenzvimbo dzakaripoteredza nemisha yaro;
Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;
46 uye nokumavirira kweKironi namaguta ose akanga ari pedyo neAshidhodhi pamwe chete nemisha yawo;
From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.
47 Ashidhodhi nemisha yaro yakaripoteredza neGaza nemisha yaro kusvikira kurukova rweIjipiti namahombekombe eGungwa Guru.
Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.
48 Munyika yamakomo maiva ne: Shamiri, Jatiri, Soko,
And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
49 Dhana, Kiriati Sana (iro Dhebhiri),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);
50 Anabhi, Ashitemo, Animi,
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
51 Gosheni, Horoni, neGiro anova maguta gumi nerimwe pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.
52 Arabha, Dhuma, Eshani,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;
53 Janimi, Bheti Tapua, Afeka.
And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
54 Humuta, Kiriati Abha, (iro Hebhuroni) neZiori ndiwo maguta mapfumbamwe pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.
55 Maoni, Kameri, Zifi, Juta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;
56 Jezirieri, Jokidheami, Zanoa,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
57 Kaini, Gibhea, neTimuna, ndiwo maguta gumi nemisha yawo.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.
58 Hariuri, Bheti Zuri, Gedhori,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
59 Maarati, Bheti Anoti, neEritekoni ndiwo maguta matanhatu pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.
60 Kiriati Bhaari (iro Kiriati Jearimi) neRabha ndiwo maguta maviri nemisha yawo.
Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.
61 Murenje maiva ne: Bheti Arabha, Midhini, Sekaka,
In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
62 Nibhishani, Guta roMunyu, neEni Gedhi ndiwo maguta matanhatu pamwe chete nemisha yawo.
And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.
63 Judha haana kukwanisa kudzinga vaJebhusi vakanga vachigara muJerusarema; nanhasi vaJebhusi vageremo navanhu veJudha.
And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
