1 Jesu akati ataura izvi, akatarira kudenga akanyengetera achiti: “Baba, nguva yasvika. Kudzai Mwanakomana wenyu, kuti Mwanakomana wenyu akukudzei.
After saying these things, Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify yoʋr Son so that yoʋr Son may also glorify yoʋ,
2 Nokuti makamupa simba pamusoro pavanhu vose kuti ape upenyu husingaperi kuna vose vamakamupa. (aiōnios g166)
just as yoʋ have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to everyone yoʋ have given him. (aiōnios g166)
3 Zvino uhu ndihwo upenyu husingaperi: kuti vakuzivei imi, Mwari oga wechokwadi, naJesu Kristu wamakatuma. (aiōnios g166)
This is eternal life, that they may know yoʋ, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom yoʋ have sent. (aiōnios g166)
4 Ndakauyisa kukudzwa kwamuri panyika nokuti ndakapedza basa ramakandipa kuti ndiite.
I have glorified yoʋ on earth. I have completed the work yoʋ have given me to do.
5 Zvino, Baba, ndikudzei pamberi penyu nokukudzwa kwandaiva nako ndinemi nyika isati yavambwa.
And now, Father, glorify me in yoʋr presence with the glory I had with yoʋ before the world existed.
6 “Ndakaratidza zita renyu kuna avo vamakandipa panyika. Vakanga vari venyu; mukavapa kwandiri uye vakateerera shoko renyu.
“I have revealed yoʋr name to the people yoʋ have given me out of the world. They were yoʋrs; yoʋ gave them to me, and they have kept yoʋr word.
7 Zvino vanoziva kuti zvinhu zvose zvamakandipa zvinobva kwamuri.
They now know that everything yoʋ have given me is from yoʋ.
8 Nokuti ndakavapa mashoko amakandipa uye vakaagamuchira. Vakaziva zvechokwadi kuti ndakabva kwamuri, uye vakatenda kuti makandituma.
For I have given them the words that yoʋ gave me, and they have received them and truly know that I came from yoʋ. They have also come to believe that yoʋ sent me.
9 Ndinovanyengeterera. Handisi kunyengeterera nyika, asi avo vamakandipa nokuti ndevenyu.
I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those yoʋ have given me, for they are yoʋrs.
10 Zvose zvandinazvo ndezvenyu, uye zvose zvamunazvo ndezvangu. Uye kukudzwa kwakauya kwandiri kubudikidza navo.
All who are mine are also yoʋrs, and all who are yoʋrs are also mine, and I have been glorified in them.
11 Ini handichagarizve munyika, asi ivo vachiri munyika, uye ini ndiri kuuya kwamuri. Baba Vatsvene, vadzivirirei nesimba rezita renyu, zita ramakandipa, kuti vave vamwe sesu tiri vamwe.
I will no longer remain in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to yoʋ. Holy Father, keep them in yoʋr name, which yoʋ have given me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
12 Pandainge ndiinavo, ndakavadzivirira uye ndikavachengeta zvakanaka nezita ramakandipa. Hakuna akarasika kunze kwouyo akatongerwa kuparadzwa kuitira kuti Rugwaro ruzadziswe.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them safe by the power of yoʋr name. I have guarded those yoʋ have given me, and not one of them has perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “Zvino ini ndiri kuuya kwamuri, asi ndiri kutaura zvinhu izvi ndichiri munyika, kuitira kuti vave nomufaro wangu wakazara mukati mavo.
But now I am coming to yoʋ, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy made full within them.
14 Ndakavapa shoko renyu uye nyika yakavavenga, nokuti havachisiri venyika sezvandisiri wenyika.
I have given them yoʋr word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 Munyengetero wangu hausi wokuti muvabvise panyika asi kuti muvadzivirire pane akaipa.
I do not ask yoʋ to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16 Havasi venyika, seni ndisiri wenyika.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 Vaitei vatsvene nechokwadi chenyu; shoko renyu ndiro chokwadi.
Sanctify them by yoʋr truth; yoʋr word is truth.
18 Sezvamakandituma munyika, neniwo ndakavatuma munyika.
Just as yoʋ have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19 Nokuda kwavo ndinozviita mutsvene, kuti naivowo vaitwe vatsvene muzvokwadi.
For their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
20 “Munyengetero wangu hausi waava voga. Ndinonyengetererawo avo vachazotenda kwandiri kubudikidza nemharidzo yavo,
“I do not ask on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word,
21 kuti vose vave vamwe, Baba, sezvo imi muri mandiri uye ini ndiri mamuri. Naivowo ngavave matiri kuitira kuti nyika igotenda kuti makandituma.
that they may all be one, just as yoʋ, Father, are in me, and I am in yoʋ, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that yoʋ sent me.
22 Ndakavapa kubwinya kuya kwamakandipa, kuti vave vamwe sesu tiri vamwe:
I have given them the glory that yoʋ gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one,
23 imi mavari uye imi mandiri. Ngavakwaniswe muhumwe kuti nyika izive kuti makandituma uye makavada kunyange sezvamakandida ini.
I in them and yoʋ in me, so that they may be perfected into one, and so that the world may know that yoʋ have sent me and have loved them just as yoʋ have loved me.
24 “Baba, ndinoda kuti vaya vamakandipa vave neni pandinenge ndiri, uye kuti vaone kubwinya kwangu, iko kubwinya kwamakandipa nokuti makandida nyika isati yasikwa.
Father, I want those yoʋ have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory, which yoʋ gave me because yoʋ loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 “Baba vakarurama, kunyange nyika isingakuziviyi, ini ndinokuzivai, uye ivo vanoziva kuti makandituma.
Righteous Father, though the world does not know yoʋ, I know yoʋ, and these men know that yoʋ have sent me.
26 Ndakakuzivisai kwavari, uye ndicharamba ndichiita kuti vakuzivei kuitira kuti rudo rwamakandida narwo rwuve mavari uye kuti ini pachangu ndive mavari.”
I have made yoʋr name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which yoʋ have loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.”
