< Isaya 6 >
1 Mugore rakafa Mambo Uziya, ndakaona Ishe agere pachigaro choushe, chirefu chakakwirira uye mupendero wenguo dzake wakazadza temberi.
In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne; he was high and elevated, and the hem of his robe filled the temple.
2 Kumusoro kwake kwaiva neserafimi, imwe neimwe yaiva namapapiro matanhatu: namapapiro maviri, dzakafukidza uso hwadzo, namaviri dzakafukidza makumbo adzo, uye namaviri dzakanga dzichibhururuka.
Above him were the seraphim; each one had six wings; with two each covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 Zvino imwe yaidanidzira kune imwe ichiti: “Mutsvene, mutsvene, mutsvene, iye Jehovha Wamasimba Ose; nyika yose izere nokubwinya kwake.”
Each one called to another and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of hosts! The whole earth is full of his glory.”
4 Nokutinhira kwamanzwi adzo, nheyo dzezvikumbaridzo dzakazungunuka uye temberi yakazadzwa noutsi.
The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voices of those who were crying out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Ipapo ndakachema ndichiti, “Ndine nhamo! Ndaparara! Nokuti ndiri munhu ane miromo ine tsvina uye ndigere pakati pavanhu vane miromo ine tsvina uye meso angu aona Mambo, Jehovha Wamasimba Ose.”
Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am doomed because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, because my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh, Yahweh of hosts!”
6 Ipapo imwe yesarafimi yakabhururukira kwandiri ine zimbe romoto muruoko rwayo, rayakanga yatora nembato kubva paaritari.
Then one of the seraphim flew to me; he had a glowing coal in his hand, that he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
7 Yakagunzva muromo wangu naro ikati, “Tarira, zimbe iri ragunzva miromo yako; mhosva yako yabviswa uye chivi chako chadzikinurwa.”
He touched my mouth with it and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt has been taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
8 Ipapo ndakanzwa inzwi raJehovha richiti, “Ndiani wandichatuma? Uye ndiani achatiendera?” Ini ndakati, “Ndiri pano! Nditumei!”
I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Whom shall I send; who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am; send me.”
9 Iye akati, “Enda undoudza vanhu ava uti, “‘Munogara muchinzwa, asi hamumbonzwisisi; munogara muchiona, asi hamuonesesi.’
He said, “Go and tell this people, 'Listen, but do not understand; see, but do not perceive.'
10 Ita kuti mwoyo yavanhu ava isindimare; ita kuti nzeve dzavo dzisanzwisise uye vatsinzine meso avo. Nokuti vangaona nameso avo, nokunzwa nenzeve dzavo, vakanzwisisa nemwoyo yavo, vakadzoka vakaporeswa.”
Make the heart of this people insensitive, and their ears dull, and blind their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and then turn and be healed.”
11 Ipapo ndakati, “Haiwa, Ishe, kusvikira riniko?” Iye akapindura achiti, “Kusvikira maguta ava matongo uye pasisina anogaramo, kusvikira dzimba dzasiyiwa dzisina vanhu, neminda yaparadzwa zvachose,
Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities crash into ruins and are without inhabitants, and the houses are without people, and the land falls into a desolate waste,
12 kusvikira Jehovha adzingira vanhu kure, uye nyika yasiyiwa zvachose.
and until Yahweh has sent the people far away, and the solitude of the land is great.
13 Uye kunyange kukasara chegumi munyika, naichowo chichaparadzwa. Asi somuterabhiniti nomuouki zvichasara zvava zvigutsa pazvinotemwa, saizvozvo rudzi rutsvene ruchavawo sechigutsa munyika.”
Even if a tenth of the people remain in it, it will again be destroyed; as a terebinth or an oak is cut down and whose trunk remains, the holy seed is in its stump.”
