< Isaya 2 >
1 Izvi ndizvo zvakaonekwa naIsaya mwanakomana waAmozi, pamusoro peJudha neJerusarema:
The things that Isaiah son of Amoz perceived in a vision, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Mumazuva okupedzisira, gomo retemberi yaJehovha richasimbiswa, richava guru pakati pamakomo; richakwiridzirwa pamusoro pezvikomo, uye ndudzi dzose dzichamhanyira kwariri.
It will be in the last days that the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established as the highest of the mountains, and it will be raised up above the hills, and all the nations will flow to it.
3 Ndudzi zhinji dzichauya dzichiti, “Uyai ngatiendei kugomo raJehovha, kuimba yaMwari waJakobho Iye achatidzidzisa nzira dzake, kuitira kuti tigofamba mumakwara ake.” Nokuti murayiro uchabva paZioni, shoko raJehovha richabva kuJerusarema.
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
4 Achatonga pakati pendudzi uye achapedza gakava pakati pamarudzi mazhinji. Vachapfura minondo yavo vagoiita miromo yamagejo, namapfumo avo vagoaita mapanga okuchekerera miti nawo. Rudzi rumwe harungazosimudziri munondo kuno rumwe rudzi, kana kuzodzidzirazve kurwa.
He will judge between the nations and will render decisions for many peoples; they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any longer.
5 Uyai, imi imba yaJakobho, ngatifambei muchiedza chaJehovha.
House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
6 Nokuti makasiya vanhu venyu, ivo imba yaJakobho. Vakazara nezvinamato zvokuMabvazuva; vanoita zvokuvuka kufanana navaFiristia, vachibatana maoko nevedzimwe ndudzi.
For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east and they practice divination like the Philistines, and they shake hands with sons of foreigners.
7 Nyika yavo izere nesirivha negoridhe; pfuma yavo haiperi. Nyika yavo izere namabhiza; ngoro dzavo hadziperi.
Their land is full of silver and gold, and is there no limit to their wealth; their land also is full of horses, nor is there limit to their chariots.
8 Nyika yavo izere nezvifananidzo; vanopfugamira mabasa amaoko avo, kuzvinhu zvakaitwa neminwe yavo.
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the craftsmanship of their own hands, things that their own fingers have made.
9 Naizvozvo munhu achaderedzwa uye marudzi avanhu achaninipiswa, musavakanganwira.
The people will be bowed down, and individuals will fall down; therefore do not raise them up.
10 Pinda mumapako, uvande muguruva, ubve mukutyisa kwaJehovha nokubwinya kwoumambo hwake!
Go into the rocky places and hide in the ground from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty.
11 Meso omunhu anozvikudza achaninipiswa, uye kuzvikudza kwavanhu kuchaderedzwa; asi Jehovha oga ndiye achakudzwa pazuva iro.
The lofty gaze of man will be brought low, and the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
12 Nokuti Jehovha Wamasimba Ose ane zuva raakachengetera avo vose vanozvikudza navanodada, navose vanokudzwa (uye vachaninipiswa),
For there will be a day of Yahweh of hosts against everyone who is proud and raised up, and against everyone who is arrogant—and he will be brought down—
13 nemisidhari yose yeRebhanoni, yakareba neyakakwirira, nemiouki yose yeBhashani,
and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan.
14 namakomo ose akakwirira, nezvikomo zvose zvakakwirira,
That day of Yahweh of hosts will be against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 neshongwe dzose dzakakwirira, namasvingo ose akasimba,
and against every high tower, and against every impregnable wall,
16 nezvikepe zvose zveTashishi, nemidziyo yose yakanaka.
and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all beautiful sailing vessels.
17 Kuzvikudza kwomunhu kuchaderedzwa, uye kuzvikudza kwavanhu kuchaninipiswa; Jehovha oga ndiye achakudzwa pazuva iro,
The pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will fall; Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
18 uye zvifananidzo zvichapera zvachose.
The idols will completely pass away.
19 Vanhu vachatizira kumapako amatombo, nokumwena yapasi nokuda kwaJehovha anotyisa, uye nokubwinya kwoumambo hwake, paanosimuka achizungunutsa nyika.
Men will go into the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
20 Pazuva iro vanhu vacharasira kumakonzo nokuzviremwaremwa, zvifananidzo zvavo zvesirivha nezvifananidzo zvegoridhe, zvavakaita kuti vazvinamate.
On that day people will throw away their idols of silver and of gold that they have made for themselves to worship—they will throw them away to the moles and bats.
21 Vachatizira kumapako amatombo nokumikaha yakarembera, nokuda kwokutya Jehovha, uye nokubwinya kwoumambo hwake, paanosimuka kuti azungunutse nyika.
The people will go into the crevices in the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
22 Regai kuvimba nomunhu, anongova nokufema mumhino dzake. Anobatsireiko?
Stop trusting in man, whose life-breath is in his nostrils, for what does he amount to?
