< VaHebheru 1 >

1 Kare, Mwari akataura kumadzitateguru edu kubudikidza navaprofita panguva zhinji, uye nenzira dzakasiyana-siyana,
On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.
2 asi mumazuva ano okupedzisira akataura kwatiri nomuMwanakomana wake, waakaita mudyi wenhaka yezvinhu zvose, uye naiyewo waakaita naye nyika. (aiōn g165)
But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. (aiōn g165)
3 Mwanakomana ndiye chadzera chokubwinya kwaMwari uye ndiye mufananidzo wake chaiwo, anochengeta zvinhu zvose neshoko rake rine simba. Mushure mokunge apedza kunatswa kwezvivi, akagara kurudyi rwamambo kudenga.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
4 Saka akava mukuru kupfuura vatumwa sezvo zita raakapiwa nhaka yaro rakanyanya kunaka kupfuura ravo.
So He became as far superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is excellent beyond theirs.
5 Nokuti ndoupi pakati pavatumwa, Mwari waakamboti kwaari: “Ndiwe Mwanakomana wangu; nhasi ndava baba vako?” kana kutizve, “Ndichava Baba vake, naiye achava Mwanakomana wangu?”
For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father”? Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”?
6 Uyezve, Mwari paanouyisa dangwe rake munyika, anoti: “Vatumwa vose vaMwari ngavamunamate.”
And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.”
7 Achitaura pamusoro pavatumwa anoti, “Anoita vatumwa vake mhepo, varanda vake mirazvo yomoto.”
Now about the angels He says: “He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.”
8 Asi pamusoro poMwanakomana anoti, “Chigaro chenyu choushe, imi Mwari, chichagara nokusingaperi-peri, uye kururama kuchava tsvimbo youshe hwenyu. (aiōn g165)
But about the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom. (aiōn g165)
9 Makada kururama uye mukavenga kusarurama; naizvozvo Mwari, Mwari wenyu, akakuisai pamusoro peshamwari dzenyu nokukuzodzai namafuta okufara.”
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You above Your companions with the oil of joy.”
10 Anotizve, “Pakutanga, imi Ishe, makateya nheyo dzenyika, uye matenga ndiwo basa ramaoko enyu.
And: “In the beginning, O Lord, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.
11 Zvichaparara, asi imi mucharamba muripo; zvichasakara zvose senguo.
They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
12 Muchazvipeta sejasi; senguo zvichashandurwa. Asi imi munoramba makadaro, uye makore enyu haatozogumi.”
You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed; but You remain the same, and Your years will never end.”
13 Ndoupi pakati pavatumwa akambonzi naMwari: “Gara kurudyi rwangu kusvikira ndaita vavengi vako chitsiko chetsoka dzako?”
Yet to which of the angels did God ever say: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”?
14 Ko, vatumwa vose havasi mweya inoshumira yakatumwa kuzobatsira vaya vachadya nhaka yoruponeso here?
Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
