1 Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Noa, “Pindai muareka iwe nemhuri yako yose nokuti ndakuona iwe kuti wakarurama murudzi urwu.
And YHWH says to Noah, “Come, you and all your house, into the Ark, for I have seen you [are] righteous before Me in this generation;
2 Utore mhando dzemhuka dzose dzakanaka nomwe nomwe, mukono nehadzi yayo uye mbiri mbiri pamhando dzose dzemhuka dzisina kunaka, mukono nehadzi yayo,
you take seven pairs from all the clean beasts to yourself, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean—two, a male and its female;
3 uyewo nomwe nomwe pamhando dzose dzeshiri, mukono nehadzi, kuti uraramise marudzi azvo akasiyana-siyana munyika yose.
also, seven pairs from [each] bird of the heavens, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;
4 Mazuva manomwe kubva zvino ndichanayisa mvura panyika kwamazuva makumi mana nousiku makumi mana, uye ndichabvisa pamusoro penyika zvisikwa zvipenyu zvose zvandakaita.”
for after seven more days I am sending rain on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.”
5 Uye Noa akaita zvose zvaakarayirwa naJehovha.
And Noah does according to all that YHWH has commanded him.
6 Noa akanga ava namakore mazana matanhatu okuberekwa panguva yakanaya mvura yamafashamu panyika.
And Noah [is] a son of six hundred years, and the flood of waters has been on the earth.
7 Uye Noa navanakomana vake nomukadzi wake navakadzi vavanakomana vake vakapinda muareka kuti vapunyuke pamvura yamafashamu.
And Noah goes—and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him—into the Ark, out of the presence of the waters of the flood;
8 Zviviri zviviri zvemhuka dzakanaka nedzisina kunaka, zviviri zviviri zveshiri nezvezvisikwa zvose zvinokambaira panyika,
from the clean beast, and from the beast that [is] not clean, and from the bird, and of everything that is creeping on the ground,
9 mukono nehadzi, zvakauya kuna Noa ndokupinda muareka, sezvakanga zvarayirwa naMwari kuna Noa.
they have come to Noah two by two into the Ark, a male and a female, as God has commanded Noah.
10 Uye shure kwamazuva manomwe mvura yamafashamu yakasvika panyika.
And it comes to pass, after seven days, that waters of the flood have been on the earth.
11 Mugore ramazana matanhatu roupenyu hwaNoa, pazuva regumi namanomwe romwedzi wechipiri, pazuva iro zvitubu zvose zvapakadzika zvakatubuka, uye masuo amafashamu okudenga akazarurwa.
In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all [the] fountains of the great deep have been broken up, and the network of the heavens has been opened,
12 Uye mvura yakanaya panyika kwamazuva makumi mana nousiku makumi mana.
and the shower is on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights.
13 Pazuva racho iroro, Noa navanakomana vake, Shemu, Hamu naJafeti, pamwe chete nomukadzi wake navakadzi vavanakomana vake vatatu, vakapinda muareka.
On this very same day Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the Ark—
14 Vakanga vane mhuka dzose dzesango namarudzi adzo, nezvipfuwo zvose namarudzi azvo neshiri dzose namarudzi adzo, nezvose zvina mapapiro.
they, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind (every bird, every wing).
15 Zviviri zviviri pazvisikwa zvose zvino upenyu mazviri zvakauya kuna Noa zvikapinda muareka.
And they come to Noah, into the Ark, two by two of all the flesh in which [is] a living spirit;
16 Mhuka dzaipinda dzaiva mukono nehadzi pazvipenyu zvose, sezvakanga zvarayirwa Noa naMwari. Ipapo Jehovha akamupfigira mukati.
and they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God has commanded him, and YHWH closes [it] for him.
17 Mafashamu akaramba achingouya panyika kwamazuva makumi mana, uye mvura sezvayakaramba ichiwanda yakasimudza areka pamusoro-soro penyika.
And the flood is on the earth [for] forty days, and the waters multiply and lift up the Ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;
18 Mvura zhinji yakasimuka uye ikawanda zvikuru panyika, uye areka ikayangarara pamusoro pemvura.
and the waters are mighty and multiply exceedingly on the earth; and the Ark goes on the face of the waters.
19 Yakakwira kwazvo pamusoro penyika, uye makomo ose marefu ari pasi pedenga akafukidzwa.
And the waters have been very, very mighty on the earth, and all the high mountains are covered which [are] under the whole heavens;
20 Mvura zhinji yakasimuka ikafukidza makomo kusvikira pamakubhiti gumi namashanu kudzika kubva pamusoro pawo.
the waters prevailed from above the mountains, and cover [them] fifteen cubits;
21 Zvipenyu zvose zvinokambaira panyika zvakaparara, shiri, zvipfuwo, mhuka dzesango, zvisikwa zvose zvakafararira pamusoro penyika, namarudzi ose avanhu.
and all flesh expires that is moving on the earth, among bird, and among livestock, and among beast, and among every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth, and all mankind;
22 Zvinhu zvose zvakanga zvino kufema kwoupenyu mumhino dzazvo panyika zvakafa.
all in whose nostrils [is] breath of a living spirit—of all that [is] in the dry land—have died.
23 Zvinhu zvose zvipenyu zvaiva pamusoro penyika zvakaparadzwa, vanhu nemhuka, nezvisikwa zvinokambaira panyika neshiri dzedenga zvakaparadzwa kubva panyika. Noa bedzi ndiye akasiyiwa navaya vaiva naye muareka.
And all the substance that is on the face of the ground is wiped away—from man to beast, to creeping thing, and to bird of the heavens; indeed, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who [are] with him in the Ark;
24 Mvura zhinji yakafukidza nyika kwamazuva makumi mashanu.
and the waters are mighty on the earth [for] one hundred and fifty days.
