Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
2 Esau akatora mukadzi wake kubva kuvakadzi veKenani: Adha mwanasikana waEroni muHiti, naOhoribhama mwanasikana waAna, muzukuru waZibheoni muHivhi,
Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
3 uyewo Bhasemati mwanasikana waIshumaeri, hanzvadzi yaNebhayoti.
And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4 Adha akaberekera Esau Erifazi, Bhasemati akabereka Reueri,
And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
5 uye Ohoribhama akabereka Jeushi, Jaramu naKora. Ndivo vana vaEsau vaakaberekerwa muKenani.
Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
6 Esau akatora vakadzi vake navanakomana vake uye vanasikana vake navamwe vose veimba yake, pamwe chete nemombe dzake nezvimwe zvipfuwo zvake nepfuma yake yose yaakanga awana muKenani, akaenda kunyika yakanga iri kure nomununʼuna wake Jakobho.
So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
7 Pfuma yakanga yawanda kwazvo kuti vagare pamwe chete; nyika yavaigara yakanga isisavaringani vose nokuda kwezvipfuwo zvavo.
For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
8 Saka Esau (ndiye Edhomu) akandogara kunyika yezvikomo yeSeiri.
Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
9 Iyi ndiyo nhoroondo yaEsau baba vavaEdhomu munyika yezvikomo yeSeiri.
So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
10 Aya ndiwo mazita avanakomana vaEsau: Erifazi, mwanakomana womukadzi waEsau, Adha, Reueri, mwanakomana waBhasemati, mukadzi waEsau.
These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
11 Vanakomana vaErifazi vaiva: Temani, Omari, Zefo, Gatami naKenazi.
And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Mwanakomana waEsau, Erifazi naiyewo akanga ano murongo ainzi Timina, uyo akamuberekera Amareki. Ava ndivo vaiva vazukuru vaAdha, mukadzi waEsau.
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
13 Vanakomana vaReueri vaiva: Nahati, Zera, Shama naMiza. Ava ndivo vaiva vazukuru vaBhasemati mukadzi waEsau.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
14 Vanakomana vaOhoribhama, mukadzi waEsau, mwanasikana waAna, muzukuru waZibheoni, vaakaberekera Esau, vaiva: Jeushi, Jaramu naKora.
And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
15 Aya ndiwo aiva madzishe pakati pezvizvarwa zvaEsau: Vanakomana vaErifazi, dangwe raEsau, vaiva: madzishe Temani, Omari, Sefo, Kenazi,
These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
16 Kora, Gatami naAmareki. Aya ndiwo madzishe akabva kuna Erifazi muEdhomu; vaiva vazukuru vaAdha.
Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
17 Vanakomana vaReueri, mwanakomana waEsau, vaiva madzishe Nahati, Zera, Shama naMiza. Aya ndiwo madzishe akabva kuna Reueri muEdhomu; vakanga vari vazukuru vaBhasemati, mukadzi waEsau.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
18 Vanakomana vaOhoribhama, mukadzi waEsau, vaiva: madzishe Jeushi, Jaramu naKora. Aya ndiwo madzishe akabva kuna Ohoribhama mukadzi waEsau mwanasikana waAna.
Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
19 Ava ndivo vaiva vanakomana vaEsau (ndiye Edhomu) uye aya ndiwo madzishe avo.
These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
20 Ava ndivo vakanga vari vanakomana vaSeiri muHori, vakanga vachigara mudunhu iroro: Rotani, Shobhari, Zibheoni, Ana,
These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
21 Dhishoni, Ezeri naDhishani. Vanakomana ava vaSeiri muEdhomu vakanga vari madzishe avaHori.
And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.
22 Vanakomana vaRotani vaiva: Hori naHomami. Timina akanga ari hanzvadzi yaRotani.
And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.
23 Vanakomana vaShobhari vaiva: Arivhani, Manahati, Ebhari, Shefo naOnami.
And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24 Vanakomana vaZibheoni vaiva: Ayia naAna. Uyu ndiye uya Ana akawana matsime emvura inopisa mugwenga paakanga achifudza mbongoro dzababa vake Zibheoni.
And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
25 Vanakomana vaAna vaiva: Dishoni naOhoribhama, mwanakomana waAna.
And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
26 Vanakomana vaDhishoni vaiva: Hemidhani, Eshibhani, Itirani naKerani.
Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27 Vanakomana vaEzeri vaiva: Bhirihani, Zaavhani naAkani.
The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
28 Vanakomana vaDhishani vaiva: Uzi naArani.
The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
29 Aya ndiwo akanga ari madzishe avaHori: Rotani, Shobhari, Zibheoni, Ana,
These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
30 Dhishoni, Ezeri naDhishani. Aya ndiwo akanga ari madzishe avaHori zvichienderana namarudzi avo, munyika yaSeiri.
Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
31 Aya ndiwo madzimambo akatonga muEdhomu pasati pambova namambo upi zvake akatonga muIsraeri:
And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
32 Bhera, mwanakomana waBheori, akava mambo weEdhomu. Guta rake rakatumidzwa zita rokuti Dhinihabha.
Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
33 Bhera akati afa, Jobhabhi, mwanakomana waZera, aibva kuBhozira akamutevera paumambo.
And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
34 Jobhabhi akati afa, Hushami aibva kunyika yavaTemani akamutevera paumambo.
When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
35 Hushani akati afa, Hadhadhi mwanakomana waBhedhadhi, uya akakunda Midhiani munyika yeMoabhu, akamutevera paumambo. Guta rake rakatumidzwa zita rokuti Avhiti.
And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
36 Hadhadhi akati afa, Samura aibva kuMasireka akamutevera paumambo.
When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
37 Samura akati afa, Shauri aibva kuRehobhoti paRwizi akamutevera paumambo.
When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
38 Shauri akati afa, Bhaari-Hanani mwanakomana waAkibhori akamutevera paumambo.
When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
39 Bhaari-Hanani mwanakomana waAkibhori akati afa, Hadhadhi akamutevera paumambo. Guta rake rakatumidzwa zita rokuti Pua, uye zita romukadzi wake rainzi Mehetabheri mwanasikana waMatiredhi, mwanasikana waMe-Zahabhi.
And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40 Aya ndiwo madzishe akabva kuna Esau, namazita avo, maererano nedzimba dzavo namatunhu avo: Timina, Arivha, Jeteti,
Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
41 Ohoribhama, Era, Pinoni,
Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
42 Kenazi, Temani, Mibhiza,
Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
43 Magidhieri naIrami. Aya ndiwo akanga ari madzishe eEdhomu, maererano namagariro avo munyika yavakatora. Uyu ndiye Esau baba wevaEdhomu.
Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
