< Genesisi 25 >

1 Abhurahama akawana mumwe mukadzi, zita rake ainzi Ketura.
And Abraham took another wife and her name, was Keturah;
2 Akamuberekera Zimurami, Jokishani, Medhani, Midhiani, Ishibhaki naShua.
and she bare to him Zimran, and Yokshan, and Medan, and Midian, —and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 Jokishani akabereka Shebha naDhedhani; zvizvarwa zvaDhedhani zvakanga zviri vaAshuri, vaRetushi navaReumi.
And, Yokshan, begat Sheba and Dedan, —and, the sons of Dedan, were Asshurim and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 Vanakomana vaMidhiani vakanga vari Efa, Eferi, Hanoki, Abhidha naEridha. Vose ava vakanga vari zvizvarwa zvaKetura.
And the sons of Midian, Ephah and Epher and Hanoch, and Abida. and Eldaah, —all these, were the sons of Keturah.
5 Abhurahama akasiya zvinhu zvose zvaakanga anazvo kuna Isaka.
And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac;
6 Asi paakanga achiri mupenyu akapa zvipo kuvanakomana vavarongo vake uye akavabvisa pamwanakomana wake Isaka akavaendesa kumabvazuva.
but, to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, —and then sent them away from Isaac his son while he himself yet lived, eastward unto the land of the east.
7 Pamwe chete, Abhurahama akararama makore zana namakumi manomwe namashanu.
Now, these, are the days of the years of the life of Abraham which he lived—a hundred and seventy-five years.
8 Ipapo Abhurahama akabudisa mweya wake akafa akwegura kwazvo, ava mutana uye ava namakore mazhinji; uye akasanganiswa navanhu vake.
So Abraham breathed his last, and died in a fine old age, old and satisfied, —and was gathered unto his people,
9 Vanakomana vake Isaka naIshumaeri vakamuviga mubako reMakapera pedyo neMamure, mumunda waEfuroni mwanakomana waZofa muHiti,
And Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him, in the cave of Machpelah, —in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, which is over against Mamre;
10 munda wakanga watengwa naAbhurahama kubva kumuHiti. Ndimo makavigwa Abhurahama nomukadzi wake Sara.
the field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth, —there, was buried Abraham, with Sarah his wife.
11 Shure kwokufa kwaAbhurahama, Mwari akaropafadza mwanakomana wake Isaka, uyo akagara pedyo neBheeri Rahai Roi.
And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed Isaac his son, —and Isaac dwelt by Beer-lahai-roi.
12 Iyi ndiyo nhoroondo yomwanakomana waAbhurahama, iye Ishumaeri, akaberekerwa Abhurahama naHagari muIjipita, murandakadzi waSara.
Now, these, are the generations of Ishmael son of Abraham, —whom hagar the Egyptian woman the handmaid of Sarah bare to Abraham;
13 Aya ndiwo mazita avanakomana vaIshumaeri, akanyorwa muurongwa hwamaberekerwo avo: Nebhayoti dangwe raIshumaeri, Kedhari, Adhibheeri, Mibhisami,
and these, are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names after their generations, —the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam;
14 Mishima, Dhuma, Masa,
and Mishma and Dumah, and Massa;
15 Hadhadhi, Tema, Jeturi, Nafishi naKedhema.
Hadad, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 Ava ndivo vaiva vanakomana vaIshumaeri, uye aya ndiwo mazita avatongi gumi navaviri vamarudzi maererano namagariro avo nemisasa yavo.
these, same, are the sons of Ishmael and these, their names, by their villages and by their encampments, —twelve princes, after their tribes.
17 Pamwe chete, Ishumaeri akararama makore zana namakumi matatu namakore manomwe. Akabudisa mweya wake akafa, akasanganiswa navanhu vake.
And these, are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty-seven years, —and he breathed his last and died, and was gathered unto his people.
18 Zvizvarwa zvake zvakandogara munzvimbo yaibva kuHavhira kusvikira kuShuri, pedyo nomuganhu weIjipiti, kana munhu achienda akananga kuAshuri. Uye vakagara vachipesana nehama dzavo.
And they stretched their habitations from Havilah as far as to Shur, which is over against Egypt, as thou goest in towards Assyria, —over against all his brethren, he settled down.
19 Iyi ndiyo nhoroondo yomwanakomana waAbhurahama, Isaka. Abhurahama akabereka Isaka,
And, these, are the generations of Isaac, son of Abraham, —Abraham, begat Isaac;
20 uye Isaka akanga ava namakore makumi mana okuberekwa paakawana Rabheka mwanasikana waBhetueri muAramu, aibva kuPadhani Aramu uye ari hanzvadzi yaRabhani muAramu.
and it came to pass that, Isaac, was forty years old, when he took Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Syrian, of the Plain of Syria, —sister of Laban the Syrian. to himself to wife.
21 Isaka akanyengeterera mukadzi wake kuna Jehovha, nokuti akanga asingabereki. Jehovha akapindura munyengetero wake, uye mukadzi wake Rabheka akava nemimba.
So then Isaac made entreaty unto Yahweh in behalf of his wife, for she was, barren, —and Yahweh suffered himself to be entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 Vana vakanga vachisundana mukati make, iye akati, “Seiko izvi zvichiitika kwandiri?” Saka akaenda kundobvunza Jehovha.
And the sons within her struggled together, so she said—If so, wherefore now am, I, [thus]? And she went to seek Yahweh.
23 Jehovha akati kwaari, “Ndudzi mbiri dziri muchizvaro chako, uye marudzi maviri achabuda mauri achaparadzana; rumwe rudzi ruchava nesimba kupfuura rumwe, uye mukuru achashumira muduku.”
And Yahweh said to her. Two nations, are in thy womb, And two races, from thy body, shall be parted, —And, one race, shall be stronger, than the other race, And the elder, shall serve the younger.
24 Nguva yokubereka kwake yakati yasvika, onei makanga muna vakomana vaviri muchizvaro chake.
Then were fulfilled her days to bring forth, —and lo! twins in her womb.
25 Akatanga kubuda akanga ari mutsvuku, uye muviri wake wose wakanga wakaita senguo ine mvere; saka vakamutumidza zita rokuti Esau.
And the first came forth red, all over, as a mantle of hair, —so they called his name, Esau,
26 Shure kwaizvozvo, mununʼuna wake akabuda, ruoko rwake rwakabata chitsitsinho chaEsau; saka akatumidzwa zita rokuti Jakobho. Isaka akanga ava namakore okuberekwa makumi matanhatu Rabheka paakavabereka.
And, after that, came forth his brother with his hand fast hold of the heel of Esau, so they called his name Jacob—Now, Isaac, was sixty years old when she bare them,
27 Vakomana vakakura, uye Esau akava mudzimba akachenjera, murume wesango, asi Jakobho akanga ari murume akanyarara, achigara pakati pamatende.
And when the youths grew up, it came to pass that Esau was a man skilled in game a man of the field, —but, Jacob, was a ready man, dwelling in tents.
28 Sezvo Isaka aifarira nyama yemhuka, aida Esau, asi Rabheka aida Jakobho.
And, Isaac, loved, Esau, because of the game he put in his mouth, —but, Rebekah, was a lover of Jacob!
29 Rimwe zuva Jakobho paakanga achibika zvokudya, Esau akasvikopinda achibva kusango, aziya nenzara!
And Jacob had boiled pottage, —when Esau came in from the field, he, being famished.
30 Akati kuna Jakobho, “Dokurumidzawozve, undipewo zvimwe zvokudya zvakatsvukira izvo ndidye! Ndava kuziya nenzara!” (Ndokusaka akatumidzwawo zita rokuti Edhomu).
So Esau said unto Jacob. Do let me devour some of the red—this red, for, famished, I am. For this cause, was his name called Edom.
31 Jakobho akapindura akati, “Tanga wanditengesera udangwe hwako.”
And Jacob said, —Come sell, just now, thy birthright unto me.
32 Esau akati, “Tarira, ndava kuda kufa ini. Ko, udangwe huchandibatsirei?”
And Esau said, Here am I, on the point of dying, —wherefore, then, should I, have, a birthright?
33 Asi Jakobho akati, “Tanga wandipikira.” Saka akapika mhiko kwaari, achitengesa udangwe hwake kuna Jakobho.
And Jacob said, Come swear to me just now! And he sware to him, —and sold his birthright to Jacob.
34 Ipapo Jakobho akapa Esau chingwa nenyemba. Akadya uye akanwa, ipapo akasimuka akaenda. Saka Esau akazvidza udangwe hwake.
And Jacob, having given to Esau bread and a dish of lentils, he did eat and drink and rose up, and went his way, —thus Esau despised his birthright!
