1 Mugore ramakumi matatu, nomwedzi wechina pazuva rechishanu, ndiri pakati pavakatapwa, paRwizi rweKebhari, matenga akazarurwa, ndikaona zviratidzo zvaMwari.
And it cometh to pass, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth of the month, and I [am] in the midst of the Removed by the river Chebar, the heavens have been opened, and I see visions of God.
2 Pazuva rechishanu romwedzi, riri gore rechishanu rokutapwa kwaMambo Jehoyakini,
In the fifth of the month — it is the fifth year of the removal of the king Jehoiachin —
3 shoko raJehovha rakasvika kuna Ezekieri muprista, mwanakomana waBhuzi paRwizi rweKebhari munyika yavaBhabhironi. Ipapo, ruoko rwaJehovha rwakanga rwuri pamusoro pake.
hath the word of Jehovah certainly been unto Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar, and there is on him there a hand of Jehovah.
4 Ndakatarira, ndikaona dutu remhepo richibva nechokumusoro, gore guru rine mheni yaipenya uye rakakomberedzwa nechiedza chaibwinya. Pakati pomoto paitarisika sedare rinopfuta,
And I look, and lo, a tempestuous wind is coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire catching itself, and brightness to it round about, and out of its midst as the colour of copper, out of the midst of the fire.
5 uye mumoto makanga mune zvakanga zvakaita sezvisikwa zvipenyu zvina. Pakuonekwa kwazvo, chimiro chazvo chakanga chiri chomunhu,
And out of its midst [is] a likeness of four living creatures, and this [is] their appearance; a likeness of man [is] to them,
6 asi chimwe nechimwe chazvo chakanga chine zviso zvina namapapiro mana.
and four faces [are] to each, and four wings [are] to each of them,
7 Makumbo azvo akanga akarurama; tsoka dzazvo dzakanga dzakaita sedzemhuru uye dzichipenya sendarira yakabwinyiswa.
and their feet [are] straight feet, and the sole of their feet [is] as a sole of a calf's foot, and they are sparkling as the colour of bright brass;
8 Zvakanga zvina maoko omunhu pasi pamapapiro azvo pamativi azvo mana. Zvose zviri zvina zvaiva nezviso namapapiro,
and hands of man under their wings — on their four sides, and their faces and their wings — [are] to them four;
9 uye mapapiro azvo aigunzvana. Chimwe nechimwe chazvo chaienda mberi chakarurama; zvakanga zvisingacheuki pakufamba kwazvo.
joining one unto another [are] their wings, they turn not round in their going, each straight forward they go.
10 Zviso zvazvo zvairatidzika sezvizvi: chimwe nechimwe pauna hwazvo chaiva nechiso chomunhu, uye kurudyi, chimwe nechimwe chaiva nechiso cheshumba, uye kuruboshwe, chiso chenzombe; chimwe nechimwe chaiva nechiso chegondo.
As to the likeness of their faces, the face of a man, and the face of a lion, toward the right [are] to them four, and the face of an ox on the left [are] to them four, and the face of an eagle [are] to them four.
11 Ndizvo zvakanga zvakaita zviso zvazvo. Mapapiro azvo akanga akatambanudzirwa kumusoro; chimwe nechimwe chakanga china mapapiro maviri rimwe richigunzva bapiro rechimwe chisikwa kumativi ose, uye mapapiro maviri akafukidza muviri wacho.
And their faces and their wings are separate from above, to each [are] two joining together, and two are covering their bodies.
12 Chimwe nechimwe chainanga mberi chakarurama. Kwose kwaienda mweya, ndiko kwazvaienda, zvisingacheuki pakufamba kwazvo.
And each straight forward they go, whither the spirit is to go, they go, they turn not round in their going.
13 Kuonekwa kwezvisikwa zvipenyu izvi kwakanga kwakaita samazimbe omoto anopfuta, kana somwenje. Moto waienda mberi uchidzoka pakati pezvisikwa; wakanga uchipenya, uye mheni yaipenya mauri.
As to the likeness of the living creatures, their appearances [are] as coals of fire — burning as the appearance of lamps; it is going up and down between the living creatures, and brightness [is] to the fire, and out of the fire is going forth lightning.
14 Zvisikwa zvaimhanya zvichienda mberi zvichidzoka semheni inopenya.
And the living creatures are running, and turning back, as the appearance of the flash.
15 Ndakati ndichitarira kuzvisikwa zvipenyu, ndakaona vhiri riri pasi porutivi rwechisikwa chimwe nechimwe nezviso zvacho zvina.
And I see the living creatures, and lo, one wheel [is] in the earth, near the living creatures, at its four faces.
16 Uku ndiko kwaiva kuratidzika namagadzirirwo amavhiri acho: Akanga achivaima sebwe rekristaro, uye zvose zviri zvina zvakanga zvakafanana pakuonekwa kwazvo. Pakuonekwa kwawo napamagadzirirwo awo akanga akaita sevhiri rimwe riri mukati merimwe vhiri.
The appearance of the wheels and their works [is] as the colour of beryl, and one likeness [is] to them four, and their appearances and their works [are] as it were the wheel in the midst of the wheel.
17 Pakufamba kwazvo, zvaigona kuenda neimwe yenzira ina dzakanga dzakatariswa nezvisikwa zvina; mavhiri akanga asingatsauki zvisikwa pazvaifamba.
On their four sides, in their going they go, they turn not round in their going.
18 Marimu acho akanga akakwirira uye aishamisa, uye marimu ose ari mana akanga azere nameso kwose kwose.
As to their rings, they are both high and fearful, and their rings [are] full of eyes round about them four.
19 Zvisikwa zvipenyu zvaiti kana zvofamba, mavhiri aiva parutivi ofambawo; uye kana zvisikwa zvipenyu zvikasimuka kubva pasi, mavhiri aisimukawo.
And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels go beside them, and in the living creatures being lifted up from off the earth, lifted up are the wheels.
20 Kwose kwaienda mweya, zvaiendawo, uye mavhiri aisimuka pamwe chete nazvo, nokuti mweya wezvisikwa zvipenyu wakanga uri mumavhiri.
Whither the spirit is to go, they go, thither the spirit [is] to go, and the wheels are lifted up over-against them, for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
21 Zvisikwa pazvaifamba, iwo aifambawo; paimira zvisikwa, naiwo aimirawo; uye paingosimuka zvisikwa kubva pasi, mavhiri aisimukawo pamwe chete nazvo, nokuti mweya wezvisikwa zvipenyu wakanga uri mumavhiri.
In their going, they go; and in their standing, they stand; and in their being lifted up from off the earth, lifted up are the wheels over-against them; for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
22 Kumusoro kwemisoro yezvisikwa zvipenyu kwakanga kwakawaridzwa chinhu chakanga chakaita sedenga, chaivaima sechando uye chaishamisa.
And a likeness [is] over the heads of the living creatures of an expanse, as the colour of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above.
23 Pasi pedenga mapapiro azvo akanga akatambanudzwa, bapiro rechimwe chisikwa richinosangana nebapiro rechimwe chisikwa, uye chimwe nechimwe chaiva namapapiro maviri akanga akafukidza muviri wacho.
And under the expanse their wings [are] straight, one toward the other, to each are two covering on this side, and to each are two covering on that side — their bodies.
24 Zvisikwa zvaiti zvofamba, ndainzwa kuunga kwamapapiro azvo, zvichitinhira semvura zhinji, senzwi roWamasimba Ose, sebope ravarwi. Zvaiti zvikamira zvaideredza mapapiro azvo.
And I hear the noise of their wings, as the noise of many waters, as the noise of the Mighty One, in their going — the noise of tumult, as the noise of a camp, in their standing they let fall their wings.
25 Ipapo inzwi rakasvika richibva kumusoro kwedenga rakanga riri pamusoro pazvo, pazvakanga zvakamira zvakaderedza mapapiro azvo.
And there is a voice from above the expanse, that [is] above their head: in their standing they let fall their wings.
26 Kumusoro kwedenga rakanga riri pamusoro pemisoro yazvo, kwakanga kune chinhu chairatidzika sechigaro choushe chakanga chakaita sebwe resafuri uye pamusoro-soro pechigaro choushe pakanga pano mufananidzo wakanga wakaita sewomunhu.
And above the expanse that [is] over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, [is] the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man upon it from above.
27 Ndakaona kuti pane zvairatidzika sechiuno chake zvichikwira kumusoro, akanga akaita sedare romoto unopenya, sokunge akazara nomoto, uye kubva ipapo zvichienda pasi, airatidzika somoto; uye chiedza chaipenya kwazvo chakanga chakamukomberedza.
And I see as the colour of copper, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness [is] to it round about.
28 Sezvakaita muraravungu uri mumakore pazuva rokunaya kwemvura, izvozvo, ndizvo zvakanga zvakaita kubwinya kwakanga kwakamukomberedza. Izvi ndizvo zvakanga zvakaita kuonekwa kwokubwinya kwaJehovha. Pandakazviona izvozvo, ndakawira pasi nechiso changu, ndikanzwa inzwi romumwe akanga achitaura.
As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so [is] the appearance of the brightness round about.
