1 Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Mozisi, “Enda kuna Faro undoti kwaari, ‘Zvanzi naJehovha: Rega vanhu vangu vaende, kuti vanondinamata.
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, “This is what Adonai says, ‘Let my people go, that they may abad ·serve· me.
2 Kana ukaramba kuti vaende, ndichatambudza nyika yako yose namatatya.
If you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your borders with frogs:
3 Nairi ruchazara namatatya. Achakwira agopinda mumuzinda wako nomuimba yako yokuvata uye napamubhedha wako, nomudzimba dzamachinda ako uye napavanhu vako uye nomuzvoto zvako nepokukanyira chingwa.
and the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:
4 Matatya achakwira pamusoro pako napamusoro pavanhu vako napamusoro pamachinda ako ose.’”
and the frogs shall come up both on you, and on your people, and on all your servants.’”
5 Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Mozisi, “Taurira Aroni uti, ‘Tambanudza ruoko rwako pamwe chete netsvimbo yako pamusoro pehova napamusoro pemigero napamadziva, uye uite kuti matatya auye pamusoro penyika yeIjipiti.’”
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Tell Aaron [Light-bringer], ‘Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].’”
6 Saka Aroni akatambanudzira ruoko rwake pamusoro pemvura yeIjipiti, matatya akauya akafukidza nyika.
Aaron [Light-bringer] stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt [Abode of slavery]; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
7 Asi nʼanga dzakaitawo zvimwe chetezvo nouroyi hwadzo; vakaitawo matatya kuti auye pamusoro penyika yeIjipiti.
The magicians did the same thing with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
8 Faro akadana Mozisi naAroni akati, “Nyengeterai kuna Jehovha kuti abvise matatya aya kwandiri uye nokuvanhu vangu, uye ini ndichatendera vanhu venyu kuti vaende kundobayira zvipiriso kuna Jehovha.”
Then Pharaoh called for Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], and said, “Entreat Adonai, that he take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Adonai.”
9 Mozisi akati kuna Faro, “Ndinopa ruremekedzo kwamuri kuti mureve nguva yokuti ndikunyengetererei imi navaranda venyu uye navanhu venyu kuti imi nedzimba dzenyu mubvisirwe matatya, kuti asare muna Nairi chete.”
Moses [Drawn out] said to Pharaoh, “I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only.”
10 Faro akati, “Mangwana.” Mozisi akapindura akati, “Zvichaitika sezvamareva, kuitira kuti mugoziva kuti hakuna mumwe akaita saJehovha Mwari wedu.
He said, “Tomorrow.” He said, “Be it according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God].
11 Matatya achabva kwamuri nomudzimba dzenyu, kumachinda enyu nokuvanhu venyu; achasara muna Nairi chete.”
The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only.”
12 Ipapo Mozisi naAroni vakabva pana Faro, Mozisi akadana kuna Jehovha pamusoro pamatatya aakanga auyisa kuna Faro.
Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] went out from Pharaoh, and Moses [Drawn out] cried to Adonai concerning the frogs which he had brought on Pharaoh.
13 Uye Jehovha akaita zvakanga zvakumbirwa naMozisi. Matatya akafa mudzimba, nomuruvazhe uye nomuminda.
Adonai did according to the word of Moses [Drawn out], and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.
14 Akaunganidzwa akaita mirwi uye nyika yakanhuhwa nokuda kwawo.
They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
15 Asi Faro akati aona kuti rusununguko rwakanga rwavapo, akaomesa mwoyo wake uye akasada kuteerera Mozisi naAroni, sezvakanga zvarehwa naJehovha.
But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· them, as Adonai had spoken.
16 Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Mozisi, “Taurira Aroni uti, ‘Tambanudza tsvimbo yako ugorova guruva revhu,’ uye munyika yose yeIjipiti, guruva richava umhutu.”
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Tell Aaron [Light-bringer], ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].’”
17 Vakaita izvozvo uye Aroni akati atambanudza ruoko rwaiva netsvimbo akarova guruva umhutu hukauya pamusoro pavanhu nezvipfuwo. Guruva rose munyika yose yeIjipiti rakava umhutu.
They did so; and Aaron [Light-bringer] stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were lice on man, and on animal; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
18 Asi nʼanga dzakakundikana, padzakaedza nouroyi hwadzo kubudisa umhutu.
The magicians tried with their enchantments to produce lice, but they couldn’t. There were lice on man, and on animal.
19 Nʼanga dzakati kuna Faro, “Uyu munwe waMwari.” Asi mwoyo waFaro wakava mukukutu uye haana kuda kuteerera, sezvakanga zvarehwa naJehovha.
Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is God’s finger:” and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· them; as Adonai had spoken.
20 Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Mozisi, “Muka mangwanani-ngwanani undosangana naFaro paanenge achienda kumvura ugoti kwaari, ‘Zvanzi naJehovha: Rega vanhu vangu vaende, kuti vanondinamata.
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; behold, he comes out to the water; and tell him, ‘This is what Adonai says, “Let my people go, that they may abad ·serve· me.
21 Kana usingatenderi vanhu vangu kuti vaende, ndichatumira bute renhunzi pamusoro pako napamusoro pamachinda ako, napamusoro pavanhu vako uye nomudzimba dzenyu. Dzimba dzavaIjipita dzichazara nenhunzi, uye kunyange pavhu pavamire.
Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
22 “‘Asi pazuva iroro ndichatsaura nyika yeGosheni uko kunogara vanhu vangu; hakuna bute renhunzi richawanikwa ikoko kuitira kuti ugoziva kuti ini, Jehovha, ndiri munyika muno.
I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen [Drawing near], in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am Adonai on the earth.
23 Ndichaita mutsauko pakati pavanhu vangu navanhu vako. Chiratidzo ichi chichaitika mangwana.’”
I will put a division between my people and your people: by tomorrow shall this sign be.”’”
24 Uye Jehovha akaita izvozvo. Mabute enhunzi akapinda mumuzinda maFaro uye nomudzimba dzamachinda ake, uye muIjipiti yose, nyika yakaparadzwa namabute enhunzi.
Adonai did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses: and in all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies.
25 Ipapo Faro akadana Mozisi naAroni akati, “Endai mundobayira kuna Mwari wenyu munyika muno.”
Pharaoh called for Moses [Drawn out] and for Aaron [Light-bringer], and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God in the land!”
26 Asi Mozisi akati, “Hazvina kunaka kuita saizvozvo. Zvipiriso zvatinoda kubayira kuna Jehovha Mwari wedu zvingazonyangadza vaIjipita. Uye kana tikapa zvibayiro zvinonyangadza pamberi pavo, havangazotitaki namabwe here?
Moses [Drawn out] said, “It is not appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] to Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. Behold, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] before their eyes, and won’t they stone us?
27 Tinofanira kufamba rwendo rwamazuva matatu kuti tinobayira kuna Jehovha Mwari wedu murenje, sezvaakatirayira.”
We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], as he has ordered us to do.”
28 Faro akati, “Ndichakutenderai kuenda kunobayira zvipiriso kuna Jehovha Mwari wenyu murenje, asi hamufaniri kuenda kure kure. Zvino chindinyengetererai.”
Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Adonai your God in the wilderness, only you shall not go very far away. Pray for me.”
29 Mozisi akapindura akati, “Ndichangobva pauri, ndichanonyengetera kuna Jehovha, uye mangwana nhunzi dzichabva pana Faro namachinda ake uye napavanhu vake. Ivai nechokwadi chete kuti Faro haazonyengerizve achirambidza vanhu kuenda kundopa zvibayiro kuna Jehovha.”
Moses [Drawn out] said, “Behold, I go out from you, and I will pray to Adonai that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don’t let Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Adonai.”
30 Ipapo akabva pana Faro akandonyengetera kuna Jehovha,
Moses [Drawn out] went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Adonai.
31 uye Jehovha akaita zvaakakumbirwa naMozisi. Nhunzi dzakabva pana Faro nokumachinda ake uye nokuvanhu vake; hakuna nhunzi yakasara.
Adonai did according to the word of Moses [Drawn out], and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. There remained not one.
32 Asi panguva inozve, Faro akaomesa mwoyo wake uye akaramba kutendera vanhu kuti vaende.
Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and he didn’t let the people go.
