1 Mushure maizvozvo takadzoka tikakwidza nenzira inoenda kuBhashani, uye Ogi mambo weBhashani nehondo yake yose vakauya kuzorwa nesu paEdhirei.

6 Takaaparadza zvachose, sezvatakaitira Sihoni mambo weHeshibhoni, takaparadza guta rimwe nerimwe, varume, navakadzi uye navana.

13 Imwe nyika yose yeGireadhi uyewo neBhashani yose, muumambo hwaOgi ndakapa kuhafu yorudzi rwaManase. (Nyika yose yeArigobhu muBhashani yaimbozivikanwa senyika yavaRefaimu.
EleGiliyadi lonke kanye lalo lonke eleBhashani, lombuso ka-Ogi, ngalinika abayingxenye yesizukulwane sikaManase.” (Umhlubulo wonke welizwe le-Agobhi ngaseBhashani lalisaziwa ngokuthi yilizwe lamaRefayi.

“Ngalesosikhathi ngalaya uJoshuwa ngathi: ‘Usuzibonele ngamehlo akho konke uThixo uNkulunkulu wakho akwenze emakhosini amabili la. UThixo uzakwenza khonokho kuzozonke izizwe oya kuzo.
22 Usavatya; Jehovha Mwari wako pachake achakurwira.”
Ungazesabi lezozizwe, uThixo uNkulunkulu wakho uzakulwela yena uqobo lwakhe.’
23 Zvino ndakanyengetera kuna Jehovha panguva iyo, ndikati,
Ngalesosikhathi ngacela kuThixo ngathi:
24 “Imi Ishe Jehovha, makatanga kuratidza muranda wenyu ukuru hwenyu noruoko rwenyu rune simba. Nokuti ndoupiko Mwari kudenga kana panyika angaita zvakafanana namabasa enyu uye namabasa makuru amunoita?
‘Oh Thixo wobukhosi, usuqalisile ukutshengisa inceku yakho ubukhulu bakho lesandla sakho esilamandla amakhulu. Kambe nguphi unkulunkulu ezulwini loba emhlabeni ongenza lokhu okwenzileyo lemisebenzi emikhulu oyenzayo?
25 Nditenderei henyu kuti ndiyambuke ndinoona nyika yakanaka iri mhiri kwaJorodhani, iyo nyika yamakomo yakanaka neRebhanoni.”
Ngivumela ngiye khona ngiyebona ilizwe elingaphetsheya kweJodani, ilizwe elihle lamaqaqa kanye leLebhanoni.’
26 Asi nokuda kwenyu, Jehovha akanditsamwira akasandinzwa Jehovha akati kwandiri, “Zvaringana. Usataurazve kwandiri pamusoro peshoko iri.
Kodwa ngenxa yenu uThixo wangithukuthelela akazange athande ukungizwa. UThixo wathi kimi, ‘Kwanele, ungabe usakhuluma kimi futhi ngalindaba.
27 Kwira pamusoro pegomo rePisiga ugotarisa kumadokero nokumusoro nezasi nokumabvazuva, uone nyika yacho nameso ako, sezvo usingazoyambuki Jorodhani urwu.
Khwela phezu kwePhisiga ukhangele entshonalanga, enyakatho, eningizimu lasempumalanga. Ukhangele ulibone ngawakho amehlo ilizwe njengoba ungasoze uchaphe uJodani.
28 Asi rayira Joshua, ugomukurudzira nokumusimbisa nokuti achatungamirira vanhu ava pakuyambuka uye achaita kuti vagare nhaka yenyika yauchaona.”
Kodwa beka uJoshuwa esikhundleni, umkhuthaze njalo umqinise, ngoba uzakhokhela lababantu abachaphise njalo uzakwenza balithathe lelolizwe ozalibona libe yilifa labo.’
29 Saka takagara mumupata uri pedyo neBheti Peori.
