< 2 Timoti 2 >

1 Zvino iwe mwanakomana wangu, iva nesimba munyasha dziri muna Kristu Jesu.
Yoʋ then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Uye zvinhu zvawakanzwa ndichitaura pamberi pezvapupu zvizhinji zvipe kuvanhu vakatendeka avo vachazozvidzidzisawo vamwe.
Entrust what yoʋ have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses to faithful men who will be competent to teach others also.
3 Tsungirira pamwe chete nesu somurwi akanaka waKristu Jesu.
Endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 Hakuna munhu anoshanda somurwi anozviisa pazvinhu zvoupenyu hwavasiri varwi, nokuti anoda kufadza mukuru wake wehondo.
No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the affairs of civilian life, since he seeks to please the one who enlisted him.
5 Zvimwe chetezvo, kana munhu achikwikwidza somumhanyi, haagoni kuwana korona yokukunda kunze kwokunge apedza nhangemutange sezvakarayirwa.
Similarly, an athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
6 Murimi anoshanda nesimba ndiye anofanira kutanga kudya zvibereko.
The hardworking farmer ought to receive the first share of the crops.
7 Funga pamusoro pezvandinoreva, nokuti Ishe achakupa kunzwisisa pane izvi zvose.
Think about what I am saying. May the Lord give yoʋ understanding in everything.
8 Rangarirai Jesu Kristu, akamuka kubva kuvakafa, worudzi rwaDhavhidhi. Iri ndiro vhangeri rangu,
Remember Jesus Christ, the offspring of David, who was raised from the dead according to my gospel.
9 randinotambudzikira kunyange kusvikira pakusungwa segororo. Asi shoko raMwari harina kusungwa.
For this gospel I suffer to the point of being chained like a criminal, but the word of God is not chained.
10 Naizvozvo ndinotsungirira pazvinhu zvose nokuda kwavasanangurwa, kuti naivowo vawane ruponeso rwuri muna Kristu Jesu, nokubwinya kusingaperi. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
11 Herino shoko rechokwadi: Kana takafa pamwe chete naye, tichararamawo pamwe chete naye;
This saying is trustworthy: If we died with him, we will also live with him;
12 kana tikatsungirira, tichabata ushe pamwe chete naye. Kana tikamuramba, iye achatirambawo;
if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;
13 kana tikasava nokutenda, iye anoramba akatendeka, nokuti haangazvirambi.
if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself.
14 Ramba uchivayeuchidza zvinhu izvi. Uvayambire pamberi paMwari kuti varege kuita nharo pamusoro pamashoko; hazvina maturo, zvinongoparadza chete vaya vanoteerera.
Remind the people of these things, solemnly charging them before the Lord not to quarrel about words, which does no good but only leads to the ruin of those who are listening.
15 Shingaira kuti uzviratidze pamberi paMwari, somunhu anogamuchirwa, mushandi asingafaniri kunyadziswa uye anonyatsoruramisa shoko rechokwadi.
Be diligent to present yoʋrself to God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly teaches the word of truth.
16 Nzvenga kutaura kusinei naMwari, nokuti vaya vanhu vanodaro vacharamba vachirasikirwa noumwari.
Avoid profane chatter, for those who engage in such talk will stray further and further into ungodliness,
17 Dzidziso yavo ichanyenga seronda. Pakati pavo pana Himenayasi naFiretasi,
and their message will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 vakatsauka kubva pazvokwadi. Vanoti kumuka kwavakafa kwakatopfuura, uye vanoparadza kutenda kwavamwe.
who have strayed from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are undermining the faith of some.
19 Kunyange zvakadaro, nheyo dzakasimba dzaMwari dzinomira, dzine chisimbiso ichi chinoti: “Ishe anoziva vanhu vake,” uye, “Ani naani anopupura zita raShe anofanira kubva pane zvakaipa.”
Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord must depart from unrighteousness.”
20 Muimba huru mune midziyo kwete yegoridhe kana yesirivha chete, asiwo yamatanda, neyevhu; mimwe inokudzwa, mimwe isingakudzwi.
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for honorable use and some for dishonorable use.
21 Kana munhu achizvinatsa kwazvo pazvinhu izvi, achava mudziyo unokudzwa, wakaitwa mutsvene, wakawanirwa basa naTenzi uye wakagadzirirwa basa rose rakanaka.
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master, and prepared for every good work.
22 Tiza kuchiva kwose kwoujaya, uye utevere kururama, kutenda, rudo norugare navose vanodana kuna Ishe nomwoyo wakachena.
Flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart.
23 Usava nechokuita nemibvunzo youpenzi isina maturo, nokuti unoziva kuti inongomutsa kukakavara.
Have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant controversies, knowing that they breed quarrels.
24 Zvino muranda waIshe haafaniri kukakavara; asi anofanira kuva munyoro kumunhu wose, achigona kudzidzisa, asingatsamwi.
A servant of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be kind to everyone, able to teach, and patient,
25 Vaya vanomupikisa anofanira kuvadzidzisa nounyoro, aine tariro yokuti Mwari achavapa kutendeuka vagoziva chokwadi,
instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth.
26 uye kuti vachapengenuka vagopunyuka kubva mumusungo wadhiabhori, akavaita nhapwa kuti vaite kuda kwake.
Then they will come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
