1 VaTesaronika 5
1 Zvino, hama, kana dziri nguva kana misi hatifaniri kuti tikunyorerei,
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to,
2 nokuti imi munoziva kwazvo kuti zuva raShe richauya sembavha usiku.
for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of [the] Lord so comes as a thief by night.
3 Vanhu pavanenge vachiti, “Rugare norunyararo,” kuparadzwa kuchasvika pamusoro pavo nokukurumidza, somukadzi ane mimba worwadziwa, uye havangapunyuki.
When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
4 Asi imi, hama, hamusi murima zvokuti zuva iri rikusvikirei sembavha.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief:
5 Imi mose muri vanakomana vechiedza navanakomana vamasikati. Hatizi vousiku kana verima.
for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.
6 Saka zvino, ngatiregei kuita savamwe vavete, asi ngatisvinurei uye tive vanozvidzora.
So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober;
7 Nokuti avo vanovata, vanovata usiku, uye avo vanodhakwa, vanodhakwa usiku.
for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night;
8 Asi sezvo tiri vamasikati, ngatizvidzorei, takapfeka kutenda norudo sechidzitiro chechipfuva, netariro yoruponeso senguwani.
but we being of [the] day, let us be sober, putting on [the] breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet [the] hope of salvation;
9 Nokuti Mwari haana kutisarudza kuti tive vokutsamwirwa asi kuti tigamuchire ruponeso kubudikidza naIshe wedu Jesu Kristu.
because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Akatifira isu kuitira kuti, kunyange takasvinura kana tivete, tigare pamwe chete naye.
who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
11 Naizvozvo kurudziranai uye muvakane, sezvamunoita zvino.
Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
12 Zvino tinokukumbirai, hama, kuti muremekedze avo vanoshanda nesimba pakati penyu, vari pamusoro penyu muna She uye vanokurayirai.
But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in [the] Lord, and admonish you,
13 Muvakudze zvikuru murudo nokuda kwebasa ravo. Garai murunyararo nomumwe nomumwe wenyu.
and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
14 Uye tinokukurudzirai, hama, kuti muyambire avo vano usimbe, mukurudzire vanotya, batsirai vasina simba, muite mwoyo murefu kuvanhu vose.
But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
15 Muve nechokwadi kuti kurege kuva nomunhu anodzorera chakaipa nechakaipa, asi edzai kuva nomwoyo munyoro kuno mumwe nomumwe wenyu uye nokuna vose.
See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
16 Farai nguva dzose;
rejoice always;
17 rambai muchinyengetera;
pray unceasingly;
18 vongai pazvinhu zvose, nokuti ndiko kuda kwaMwari kwamuri muna Kristu Jesu.
in everything give thanks, for this is [the] will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;
19 Musadzima moto woMweya;
quench not the Spirit;
20 musazvidza zviprofita.
do not lightly esteem prophecies;
21 Edzai zvinhu zvose. Batirirai kune zvakanaka.
but prove all things, hold fast the right;
22 Regai zvakaipa zvose.
hold aloof from every form of wickedness.
23 Mwari pachake, iye Mwari worugare, ngaakuitei vatsvene kwazvo kwazvo. Mweya wenyu wose, nomwoyo uye nomuviri zvichengetwe zvisina mhosva pakuuya kwaIshe wedu Jesu Kristu.
Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Iye anokudanai akatendeka uye achazviita.
He [is] faithful who calls you, who will also perform [it].
25 Hama, tinyengeterereiwo.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Kwazisai hama dzose nokutsvoda kutsvene.
Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Ndinokurayirai pamberi paIshe kuti tsamba iyi iverengerwe hama dzose.
I adjure you by the Lord that the letter be read to all the [holy] brethren.
28 Nyasha dzaIshe wedu Jesu Kristu ngadzive nemi.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
