< 1 VaKorinde 14 >

1 Teverai nzira yorudo uye mushuve kwazvo zvipo zvomweya, zvikuru sei chipo chokuprofita.
do earnestly pursue love; do earnestly desire now spiritual gifts, especially now that you may prophesy.
2 Nokuti ani naani anotaura nendimi haatauri kuvanhu asi kuna Mwari. Zvirokwazvo, hapana anomunzwa; anotaura zvakavanzika mumweya wake.
The [one] for speaking in a tongue not to men speaks but (*k*) to God; no [one] for hears, in the Spirit however he utters mysteries;
3 Asi anoprofita anotaura kuvanhu kuti vasimbiswe, vakurudzirwe uye kuti vanyaradzwe.
The [one] however prophesying to men speaks [for] edification and encouragement and consolation.
4 Uyo anotaura nendimi anozvisimbisa iye asi anoprofita anosimbisa kereke.
The [one] speaking in a tongue himself edifies, the [one] however prophesying [the] church edifies.
5 Ndinoda kuti mumwe nomumwe wenyu ataure nendimi, asi zvikuru kuti muprofite. Anoprofita mukuru kuna anotaura nendimi, asi kunze kwokunge achidudzira, kuti kereke igosimbiswa.
I desire now all you to speak in tongues, rather however that you may prophesy; greater [is] (now *N(k)O*) the [one] prophesying than the [one] speaking in tongues except only unless (he shall interpret, *NK(o)*) so that the church edification may receive.
6 Zvino hama, kana ndikauya kwamuri ndichitaura nendimi, ndingakubatsirai seiko, asi kuti kana ndichitaura nokuzarurirwa kana ruzivo kana chiprofita kana shoko rokurayira?
(now *N(k)O*) however brothers, if I shall come to you in tongues speaking, what you will I profit, only unless to you I shall speak either in revelation or in knowledge or in prophecy or in teaching?
7 Kunyange zvinhu zvisina upenyu zvinorirawo wani, zvakaita senyere kana rudimbwa, munhu achaziva seiko kana zvisingasiyani pakurira kwazvo?
Even lifeless things a sound giving, whether flute or harp, if distinction to the sounds not (they shall give, *NK(O)*) how will it be known what is being piped or what is being harped?
8 Uyezve kana hwamanda isingariri kwazvo, ndianiko angagadzirira kundorwa?
Also for if indistinct [the] trumpet sound shall give, who will prepare himself for battle?
9 Zvakadaro nemi. Kana musingatauri mashoko nendimi dzinonyatsozivikanwa, ko, pane anganzwa here zvamunotaura? Nokuti muchangotaura henyu mumhepo.
So also you yourselves with the tongue only unless intelligible speech you shall give, how will it be known what [is] being spoken? You will be for into [the] air speaking.
10 Zvirokwazvo panyika pane mitauro mizhinji yakasiyana-siyana, asi hakuna kana mumwe usina zvaunoreva.
So many if it would be kinds of languages (there are *N(k)O*) in [the] world, and none (of them *k*) without meaning;
11 Zvino kana ndisinganzwisisi zvinotaurwa nomunhu, ndiri mutorwa kumutauri, uye naiyewo mutorwa kwandiri.
If therefore not I shall know the power of the sound, I will be to the [one] speaking a foreigner and the [one] speaking to me myself a foreigner;
12 Zvakadarowo nemi. Sezvo muchishuva zvipo zvoMweya, edzai zvikuru kushingairira zvipo zvinovaka kereke.
So also you yourselves, since zealous you are of spiritual gifts, for the edification of the church do seek that you may exceed.
13 Nokuda kwechikonzero ichi, ani naani anotaura nendimi anofanira kunyengetera kuti adudzirewo zvaanotaura.
(For *N(k)O*) the [one] speaking in a tongue he should pray that he may interpret.
14 Nokuti kana ndichinyengetera nendimi, mweya wangu ndiwo unonyengetera, asi kufunga kwangu hakuna zvibereko.
If for I shall pray in a tongue, the spirit of mine prays, but the mind of mine unfruitful is.
15 Zvino ndichaiteiko? Ndichanyengetera nomweya wangu, ndichanyengeterawo nokufunga kwangu; ndichaimba nomweya wangu, asi ndichaimbawo nokufunga kwangu.
What then is it? I will pray with the spirit, I will pray however also with the mind; I will sing praise with the spirit, I will sing praise however also with the mind.
16 Kana uchirumbidza Mwari nomweya wako, ko, uyo agere pakati pavasingazivi achati, “Ameni” seiko, pakuvonga kwako, sezvo asinganzwisisi zvauri kutaura?
Otherwise if (you shall bless in [the] *N(k)O*) spirit, the [one] filling the place of the uninstructed how will he say the Amen at your thanksgiving? since what you say [is that] not he knows;
17 Unogona kunge uchivonga zvako zvakanaka, asi mumwe munhu haasimbiswi.
You yourself truly for well are giving thanks, but the other not is edified.
18 Ndinovonga Mwari kuti ndinotaura nendimi zhinji kupfuura imi mose.
I thank the God (of mine *k*) than all of you more (in tongues *NK(O)*) (speaking; *N(k)O*)
19 Asi mukereke ndingada zvangu kutaura mashoko mashanu nokufunga kwangu kuti ndidzidzise vamwe pano kutaura mashoko zviuru gumi norumwe rurimi.
but in [the] church I desire five words (through *k*) (the with mind *N(k)O*) of mine to speak that also others I may instruct, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.
20 Hama, regai kufunga savana. Pazvinhu zvakaipa ivai savacheche, asi pakufunga kwenyu muve savanhu vakuru.
Brothers, not children do be in the minds, Yet in the evil do be little children, in the however thinking full grown do be.
21 MuMurayiro makanyorwa muchinzi: “Kubudikidza navanhu vedzimwe ndimi uye kubudikidza nemiromo yavatorwa, ndichataura kuvanhu ava, asi kunyange zvakadaro havanganditeereri,” ndizvo zvinotaura Ishe.
In the law it has been written that By other tongues and by lips (of others *N(K)O*) I will speak to the people this, and not even thus will they hear Me, says [the] Lord.
22 Naizvozvo, ndimi hadzizi chiratidzo kuvatendi asi kuna vasingatendi; asiwo chiprofita ndechavatendi, kwete vasingatendi.
So then tongues for a sign are not to those believing but to the unbelieving, but prophecy [is] not to the unbelieving but to the believing.
23 Saka kana kereke yose yaungana pamwe chete uye vose vakataura nendimi, uye vamwe vasinganzwisisi kana vasingatendi vakapinda, havangati mava kupenga here?
If therefore shall gather the church whole together the place and all shall speak in tongues may come in however uninstructed ones or unbelievers, surely they will say that you are mad?
24 Asi kana asingatendi kana mumwe munhu asinganzwisisi akapinda vanhu vose vachiprofita, achabatwa nazvo akaziva kuti iye mutadzi uye kuti achatongwa nazvo,
If however all shall prophesy, shall come in then some unbeliever or uninstructed, he is convicted by all, he is examined by all,
25 uye zvakavanzika zvomweya wake zvinoratidzwa. Naizvozvo achawira pasi nechiso chake agonamata Mwari, uye agopupura kuti Mwari ari pakati penyu zvirokwazvo.
(and thus *K*) the secrets of the heart of him manifest become, And thus having fallen upon [his] face he will worship God declaring that certainly God among you is.
26 Zvino tichatiiko, hama? Kana muchiungana, mumwe nomumwe ane rwiyo, kana shoko rokurayira, chaakazarurirwa, ndimi kana kududzira. Zvose izvi ngazviitwe kuti zvisimbise kereke.
What then is it, brothers? When you may come together, each (of you *K*) a psalm has, a teaching has, a revelation has, a tongue has, an interpretation has; All things for edification (should be. *N(k)O*)
27 Kana mumwe achitaura nendimi, vaviri, kana vatowanda, vatatu, ngavataure mumwe mushure momumwe, uye mumwe ngaadudzire.
If with a tongue anyone speaks, [let it be] by two or the most three and in turn; and one should interpret;
28 Kana pasina anodudzira, ari kutaura ngaanyarare mukereke uye ngaazvitaurire pachake uye nokuna Mwari.
If however not there shall be an interpreter, he should be silent in [the] church, to himself then he should speak and to God.
29 Vaprofita vaviri kana vatatu ngavataure uye vamwe ngavanyatsoongorora zvaataura.
Prophets then two or three should speak, and the others should discern;
30 Uye kana kuzarurirwa kwasvika kuno mumwe munhu agere pasi, mutauri wokutanga ngaanyarare.
If however to another a revelation shall be made sitting by, the first should be silent.
31 Nokuti mose munogona kuprofita muchitevedzana mumwe mushure momumwe, kuitira kuti vose varayirwe uye vakurudzirwe.
You are able for [one] by one all to prophesy, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted;
32 Mweya yavaprofita inozviisa pasi pavaprofita.
And spirits of prophets to prophets are subject;
33 Nokuti Mwari haasi Mwari wenyonganyonga asi worugare. Sezvinoitwa mune dzimwe kereke dzose dzavatsvene,
Not for He is of disorder the God but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
34 vakadzi ngavanyarare mukereke. Havatenderwi kutaura asi ngavazviise pasi sezvinoreva murayiro.
the women (of you *K*) in the churches they should be silent; Not for (it is allowed *N(k)O*) to them to speak, but (they should be submitted *N(k)O*) even as also the law says.
35 Kana vachida kubvunza chimwe chinhu, ngavabvunze varume vavo kumba; nokuti hazvina kufanira kuti mukadzi ataure mukereke.
If however anything (to learn *NK(o)*) they desire, at home [their] own husbands they should ask; shameful for it is (for a woman *N(K)O*) to speak in [the] church.
36 Ko, shoko raMwari rakatanga nemi here? Kana kuti rakasvika kwamuri moga here?
Or from you the word of God has gone out? Or to you only has it come?
37 Kana munhu achifunga kuti muprofita kana kuti ane chipo chomweya, ngaatende kuti zvandinokunyorerai murayiro waShe.
If anyone considers a prophet himself to be or spiritual, he should recognize [the] things I write to you that (of the *k*) Lord (is [the] command; *N(K)O*)
38 Kana akasatenda izvi, iye pachake ngaasatendwe.
If however anyone is ignorant, (him is ignored. *N(k)O*)
39 Naizvozvo, hama dzangu, ivai nechido chokuprofita, uye musadzivisa kutaura nendimi.
So, brothers (of mine, *no*) do earnestly desire to prophesy, and to speak not do forbid in tongues.
40 Asi zvinhu zvose ngazviitwe nomutoo wakafanira uye zvichitevedza mutemo.
All things (however *no*) properly and with order should be done.
