1 Vanakomana vaIsakari vaiva: Tora, Puwa, Jashubhi, naShimironi; vose vaiva vana.

And, to the sons of Issachar, belonged, Tola and Push, Jashib and Shimron, four.

2 Vanakomana vaTora vaiva: Uzi, Refaya, Jerieri, Jamai, Ibhisami naSamueri, vakuru vedzimba dzavo. Pamazuva okutonga kwaDhavhidhi, zvizvarwa zvaTora zvakaverengwa savarwi munhoroondo yavo zvakasvika zviuru zvina makumi maviri nezviviri namazana matanhatu.

And, the sons of Tola, were Uzzi and Rephaiah and Jeriel and Jahmai and Ibsam and Shemuel, chiefs of their ancestral house, pertaining to Tola, heroes of valour, in their generations, —their number, in the days of David, twenty-two thousand and six hundred.

3 Mwanakomana waUzi aiva: Izirahia. Vanakomana vaIzirahia vaiva: Mikaeri, Obhadhia, Joere naIshia. Vose vari vashanu vaiva madzishe.

And, the sons of Uzzi, Izrahiah, —and, the sons of Izrahiah, Michael and Obadiah and Joel, Isshiah—five, chiefs, all of them;

4 Munhoroondo yemhuri yavo, vakanga vaine varume zviuru makumi matatu nezvitanhatu vakanga vakagadzirira kurwa, nokuti vakanga vaine vakadzi vazhinji navanakomana vazhinji.

and, with them by their generations, pertaining to their ancestral house, were bands of a host for war, thirty-six thousand, —for they had many wives and sons;

5 Hama dzavo vakanga vari varume vokurwa vari vedzimba dzose dzaIsakari, sokunyorwa kwazvakanga zvakaita munhoroondo yavo, vose vaisvika zviuru makumi masere nezvinomwe.

and, their brethren, of all the families of Issachar, heroes of great valour, were eighty-seven thousand, when they had, all, registered themselves.

6 Vanakomana vaBhenjamini vatatu vaiva: Bhera, Bhekeri, naJedhiaeri.

Benjamin, Bela and Becher and Jediael, three.

7 Vanakomana vaBhera vaiva: Ezibhoni, Uzi, Uzieri, Jerimoti naIri, vose vakuru vedzimba vashanu pamwe chete. Munhoroondo yavo varwi vakanyorwa vaiva varume zviuru makumi maviri nezviviri namakumi matatu navana.

And, the sons of Bela, Ezbon and Uzzi and Uzziel and Jerimoth and Iri, five, chiefs of the ancestral house, heroes of great valour, —who, when they had registered themselves, were twenty-two thousand and thirty-four,

8 Vanakomana vaBhekeri vaiva: Zemira, Joashi, Eriezeri, Erioenai, Omiri, Jeremoti, Abhija, Anatoti naAremeti. Vose ava vaiva vakomana vaBhekeri.

And, the sons of Becher, Zemirah and Joash and Eliezer and Elioenai and Omri, and Jeremoth and Abijah, and Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these, were sons of Becher.

9 Munhoroondo yavo, vakuru vemhuri vakanyorwa uye vari varwi vaiva zviuru makumi maviri namazana maviri.

And, when they had registered themselves by their generations, the chiefs of their ancestral house, the heroes of valour, were twenty thousand and two hundred.

10 Mwanakomana waJedhiaeri ainzi Bhirihani. Vanakomana vaBhirihani vaiva: Jehushi, Bhenjamini, Ehudhi, Kenana, Zetani, Tashishi naAhishahari.

And, the sons of Jediael, Bilhan, —and, the sons of Bilhan, Jeish and Benjamin and Ehud and Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tarshish, and Ahishahah.

11 Vanakomana ava vose vaJedhiaeri vaiva vakuru vemhuri. Paiva nezviuru gumi nezvinomwe namazana maviri avarume vokurwa vakanga vakagadzirira kuenda kuhondo.

All these—sons of Jediael, by ancestral chiefs, heroes of great valour, were seventeen thousand and two hundred, ready to go forth as a host to war: —

12 VaShupi navaHupi vaiva zvizvarwa zvaIri, uye vaHushi vaiva zvizvarwa zvaAheri.

Shuppim also and Huppim, sons of Ir, Hushim sons of Aher.

13 Vanakomana vaNafutari vaiva: Jazieri, Guni, Jezeri naShiremi, zvizvarwa zvaBhiriha.

the sons of Naphtali, Jahziel and Guni, and Jezer and Shallum, sons of Bilhah.

14 Zvizvarwa zvaManase zvaiva: Asirieri chizvarwa chake kubudikidza nomurongo wake muAramu. Iye akaberekawo Makiri baba vaGireadhi.

The sons of Manasseh, Asriel, whom, [his wife] bare, —his concubine, the Syrian, bare Machir the father of Gilead;

15 Makiri akatora mukadzi kubva pakati pavaHupi navaShupi. Zita rehanzvadzi yake rainzi Maaka. Chimwezve chizvarwa chainzi Zerofehadhi, akanga aine vanasikana chete.

and, Machir, took a wife pertaining to Huppim and Shuppim, and, the name of his sister, was Maacah, and, the name of the second, Zelophehad, —and, Zelophehad, had, daughters.

16 Mukadzi waMakiri Maaka akabereka mwanakomana akamutumidza zita rokuti Pereshi. Mununʼuna wake ainzi Shereshi, uye vanakomana vake vaiva Uramu naRakemu.

So then Maacah, wife of Machir, bare a son, and called his name Peresh, and, the name of his brother, was Sheresh, —and, his sons, were Ulam and Rakem;

17 Mwanakomana waUramu ainzi Bhedhani. Ava ndivo vaiva vanakomana vaGireadhi mwanakomana waMakiri mwanakomana waManase.

and, the sons of Ulam, Bedan. These, were the sons of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh.

18 Hanzvadzi yake Hamoreketi akabereka Ishodhi, Abhiezeri naMara.

And, his sister, Hammolecheth, bare Ishhod, and Abiezer, and Mahlah.

19 Vanakomana vaShimidha vaiva: Ahiani, Shekemu, Riki naAniami.

And, the sons of Shemida, were Ahian and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.

20 Zvizvarwa zvaEfuremu zvaiva: Shutera, Bheredhi mwanakomana wake, Tahati mwanakomana wake, Ereadha mwanakomana wake, Tahati mwanakomana wake,

And, the sons of Ephraim, Shuthelah, —and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eleadah his son, and Tahath his son;

21 Zabhadhi mwanakomana wake naShutera mwanakomana wake. (Ezeri naEreadha vakaurayiwa navarume veGati vakanga vakaberekerwa munyika iyi pavakaburukira kundopamba zvipfuwo zvavo.

and Zabad his son and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead, —but the men of Gath who had been born in the land slew them, because they had come down to take away their cattle.

And, his daughter, was Sheerah, who built Beth-horon the nether and the upper, —and Uzzen-sheerah.

25 Refa aiva mwanakomana wake, Reshefi mwanakomana wake, Tera mwanakomana wake, Tahani mwanakomana wake,

And Rephah his son, and Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son, —

26 Radhani mwanakomana wake, Amihudhi mwanakomana wake, Erishama mwanakomana wake,

Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son, —

27 Nuni mwanakomana wake naJoshua mwanakomana wake.

Non his son, Joshua his son.

28 Nyika dzavo nemisha yavo zvaisanganisira Bheteri nemisha yose yakaripoteredza, Naarani kumabvazuva, Gezeri nemisha yaro, kumavirira neShekemu nemisha yaro kuenda kunosvika kuAya nemisha yaro.

And, their possessions, and their dwellings, were Bethel, and the villages thereof; and, eastward, Naaran, and, westward, Gezer, and the villages thereof, and Shechem, and the villages thereof, —as far as Aiyah, and the villages thereof; —

29 Pamiganhu yaManase paiva neBheti Shani, Taanaki, Megidho neDhori pamwe chete nemisha yawo. Zvizvarwa zvaJosefa mwanakomana waIsraeri zvaigara mumaguta aya.

and, on the sides of the sons of Manasseh, Beth-shean and the villages thereof, Taanach and the villages thereof, Megiddo and the villages thereof, Dor and the villages thereof. In these, dwelt the sons of Joseph, son of Israel.

30 Vanakomana vaAsheri vaiva: Imina, Ishivha, Ishivhi naBheria. Hanzvadzi yavo yainzi Sera.

The sons of Asher, Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi and Beriah, —and Serah their sister.

31 Vanakomana vaBheria vaiva: Hebheri naMarikieri, uyo aiva baba vaBhirizaiti.

And, the sons of Beriah, Heber, and Malchiel, —the same, was the father of Birzaith.

32 Hebheri aiva baba vaJafireti, Shomeri naHotami uye nehanzvadzi yavo Shua.

And, Heber, begat Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, —and, Shua, their sister.

33 Vanakomana vaJafireti vaiva: Pasaki, Bhimari naAshivhati. Ava ndivo vaiva vanakomana vaJafireti.

And, the sons of Japhlet, Pasach, and Bimhal, and Ashvath. These, were the sons of Japhlet.

34 Vanakomana vaShomeri vaiva: Ahi, Roga, Hubhai naAramu.

And, the sons of Shemer, Ahi, and Rohgah, Jahbah, and Aram.

35 Vanakomana vomununʼuna wake Heremu vaiva: Zofa, Imina, Shereshi, naAmari.

And, the sons of Helem, his brother, Zophah, and Imna, and Shelesh and Amal.

36 Vanakomana vaZofa vaiva: Sua, Haneferi, Shuari, Bheri, Imira,

The sons of Zophah, Suah and Harnepher, and Shual and Beri, and Imrah, —

37 Bhezeri, Hodhi, Shama Shirisha, Itirani, naBheera.

Bezer and Hod, and Shamma and Shilshah, and Ithran and Beera.

38 Vanakomana vaJeteri vaiva: Jefune, Pisipa naAra.

And, the sons of Jether, Jephunneh, and Pispa, and Ara.

39 Vanakomana vaUra vaiva: Ara, Hanieri, naRizia.

And, the sons of Ulla, Arah, and Hanniel, and Rizia.

40 Vose ava vaiva zvizvarwa zvaAsheri, vakuru vemhuri yavo, varume vakanga vakasarudzika, varwi vakanga vakashinga uye vari vatungamiri vakasanangurika. Uwandu hwavarume vakanga vakagadzirira kurwa sezvazvakanyorwa munhoroondo yavo hwaiva zviuru makumi maviri nezvitanhatu.

All these, were sons of Asher, chiefs of the ancestral house, choice men, heroes of great valour, chiefs of the leaders, —and, when they registered themselves, in host, for war, the number of the men, was twenty-six thousand.
