Псалми 28
1 К Теби, Господе, вичем; граде мој, немој ми ћутати, да не бих, ако заћутиш, био као они који одлазе у гроб.
Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.
2 Чуј молитвени глас мој, кад вапим к Теби, кад дижем руке своје к светој цркви Твојој.
Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.
3 Немој ме захватити с грешницима, и с онима који чине неправду, који с ближњима својим мирно говоре, а у срцу им је зло.
Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.
4 Подај им, Господе, по делима њиховим, по злом поступању њиховом; по делима руку њихових подај им, подај им шта су заслужили.
Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].
5 Јер не пазе на дела Господња, и на дела руку Његових. Да их разори и не сазида.
Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!
6 Да је благословен Господ, јер услиши глас мољења мог!
Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!
7 Господ је крепост моја и штит мој; у Њега се поузда срце моје, и Он ми поможе. Зато се весели срце моје, и песмом својом славим Га.
Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.
8 Господ је крепост народа свог, и обрана која спасава помазаника Његовог.
Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.
9 Спаси народ свој, благослови достојање своје; спаси их и уздижи их довека.
Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.
