< Псалми 16 >

1 Чувај ме, Боже; јер се у Те уздам.
“A psalm off David.” Preserve me, O God! for to thee do I look for help.
2 Рекох Господу: Ти си Господ мој, немам добра осим Тебе.
I have said to Jehovah, Thou art my Lord; I have no happiness beyond thee!
3 У светима који су на земљи и у великима сва је утеха моја.
The holy that are in the land, and the excellent, —in them is all my delight.
4 Нека други умножавају идоле своје, нека трче к туђима; ја им нећу лити крваве наливе, нити ћу метнути имена њихова у уста своја.
They who hasten after other gods shall have multiplied sorrows; Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor will I take their names upon my lips.
5 Господ је мој део наследства и чаше; Ти подижеш достојање моје.
Jehovah is my portion and my cup; Thou wilt maintain my lot!
6 Уже ми је захватило прекрасна места, и део ми је мој мио.
My portion hath fallen to me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly inheritance.
7 Благосиљам Господа, који ме уразумљује; томе ме и ноћу учи шта је у мени.
I will bless the LORD, who careth for me; Yea, in the night my heart admonisheth me.
8 Свагда видим пред собом Господа: Он ми је с десне стране да не посрнем.
I set the LORD before me at all times; Since he is at my right hand, I shall not fall.
9 Тога ради радује се срце моје, и весели се језик мој, још ће се и тело моје смирити у уздању;
Therefore my heart is glad, and my spirit rejoiceth; Yea, my flesh dwelleth in security.
10 Јер нећеш оставити душу моју у паклу, нити ћеш дати да Светац Твој види трулост. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not give me up to the underworld; Nor wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see the pit. (Sheol h7585)
11 Показаћеш ми пут животни: обиље је радости пред лицем Твојим, утеха у десници Твојој довека.
Thou wilt show me the path of life; In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
