Псалми 107
1 Хвалите Господа, јер је добар; јер је довека милост Његова.
Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness for his kindness endures forever.
2 Тако нека кажу које је избавио Господ, које је избавио из руке непријатељеве,
Let this be the song of the ransomed, whom the Lord has redeemed from distress,
3 Скупио их из земаља, од истока и запада, од севера и мора.
gathering them from all lands, east, west, north, and south.
4 Луташе по пустињи где се не живи, пута граду насељеном не находише;
In the wastes of the desert some wandered, finding no way to a city inhabited.
5 Беху гладни и жедни, и душа њихова изнемагаше у њима;
Full of hunger and thirst, their spirit failed.
6 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој; и избави их из невоље њихове.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distresses,
7 И изведе их на прав пут, који иде у град насељени.
guiding them straight on the way, till they reached an inhabited city.
8 Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
Let them thank the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds for people;
9 Јер сити душу ташту, и душу гладну пуни добра.
for the thirsty he satisfies, and the hungry he fills with good things.
10 Седеше у тами и у сену смртном, оковани у тугу и у гвожђе;
Some sat in darkness and gloom prisoners in irons and misery,
11 Јер не слушаше речи Божијих, и не марише за вољу Вишњег.
for rebelling against God’s word, and spurning the Most High’s counsel.
12 Он поништи срце њихово страдањем; спотакоше се, и не беше кога да помогне.
Their heart was bowed with toil; there was no one to help when they stumbled.
13 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове;
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distresses.
14 Изведе их из таме и сена смртног, и раскиде окове њихове.
Out of darkness and gloom he brought them, and burst their chains.
15 Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
Let them praise the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds for people.
16 Јер разби врата бронзана, и преворнице гвоздене сломи.
For he shattered the gates of bronze, and broke bars of iron.
17 Безумници страдаше за неваљале путеве своје, и за неправде своје.
Some were sick from their wicked ways, and suffering because of their sins.
18 Свако се јело гадило души њиховој, и дођоше до врата смртних.
All manner of food they hated; they had come to the gates of death.
19 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distresses.
20 Посла реч своју и исцели их, и избави их из гроба њиховог.
He sent his word and healed them, and delivered their life from the pit.
21 Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
Let them praise the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds for people.
22 И нека принесу жртву за хвалу, и казују дела Његова у песмама!
Let them offer to him thankofferings, and with joy tell what things he has done.
23 Који плове по мору на корабљима, и раде на великим водама,
Some crossed the sea in ships, doing business in great waters.
24 Они су видели дела Господња, и чудеса Његова у дубини.
They have seen what the Lord can do, and his wonderful deeds on the deep.
25 Каже, и диже се силан ветар, и устају вали на њему,
At his command rose a tempest, which lifted the waves on high.
26 Дижу се до небеса и спуштају до бездана: душа се њихова у невољи разлива;
Up to heaven they went, down to the depths; their courage failed them.
27 Посрћу и љуљају се као пијани; све мудрости њихове нестаје.
They staggered and reeled like drunkards; all their skills useless.
28 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и изведе их из невоље њихове.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distresses.
29 Он обраћа ветар у тишину, и вали њихови умукну.
He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Веселе се кад се стишају, и води их у пристаниште које желе.
They were glad, because it was quiet; they were led to the haven they longed for.
31 Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
Let them praise the Lord, for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds for people.
32 Нека Га узвишују на сабору народном, на скупштини старешинској славе Га!
Where the people assemble, extol him, and praise him in council of elders.
33 Он претвара реке у пустињу, и изворе водене у сухоту,
He turns streams into a wilderness, springs of water into thirsty land,
34 Родну земљу у слану пустару за неваљалство оних који живе на њој.
fruitful land into a salt waste, because of the sin of the people.
35 Он претвара пустињу у језера, и суву земљу у изворе водене,
A desert he makes pools of water, a land of drought into springs of water.
36 И насељава онамо гладне. Они зидају градове за живљење;
He settles the hungry therein, they establish a city to live in.
37 Сеју поља, саде винограде и сабирају летину.
They sow fields and plant vineyards, which furnish a fruitful yield.
38 Благосиља их и множе се јако, и стоке им не умањује.
By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he lets not their cattle decrease.
39 Пре их беше мало, падаху од зла и невоље, што их стизаше.
Yet when they are bowed and diminished by oppression, misfortune, or sorrow,
40 Он сипа срамоту на кнезове, и оставља их да лутају по пустињи где нема путева.
he pours contempt upon princes, and on trackless wastes leads them astray
41 Он извлачи убогога из невоље, и племена множи као стадо.
He lifts the poor out of misery, and makes families fruitful as flocks.
42 Добри виде и радују се, а свако неваљалство затискује уста своја.
At this sight shall the upright be glad, and all wicked mouths shall be stopped.
43 Ко је мудар, нека запамти ово, и нека познају милости Господње.
Let those who are wise observe this, and consider the love of the Lord
