Приче Соломонове 11
1 Лажна су мерила мрска Господу, а права мера угодна Му је.
False balances are an abomination vnto the Lord: but a perfite weight pleaseth him.
2 Кад дође охолост, дође и срамота; а у смерних је мудрост.
When pride commeth, then commeth shame: but with the lowly is wisdome.
3 Праведне води безазленост њихова, а безаконике сатире злоћа њихова.
The vprightnes of the iust shall guide them: but the frowardnes of the transgressers shall destroy them.
4 Неће помоћи богатство у дан гнева, а правда избавља од смрти.
Riches auaile not in the day of wrath: but righteousnes deliuereth from death.
5 Правда безазленога управља пут његов, а безбожник пада од своје безбожности.
The righteousnes of the vpright shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall in his owne wickednes.
6 Праведне избавља правда њихова, а безаконици хватају се у својој злоћи.
The righteousnesse of the iust shall deliuer them: but the transgressers shall be taken in their owne wickednes.
7 Кад умире безбожник, пропада надање, и најјаче уздање пропада.
When a wicked man dieth, his hope perisheth, and the hope of the vniust shall perish.
8 Праведник се избавља из невоље, а безбожник долази на његово место.
The righteous escapeth out of trouble, and the wicked shall come in his steade.
9 Лицемер квари устима ближњег свог; али се праведници избављају знањем.
An hypocrite with his mouth hurteth his neighbour: but the righteous shall be deliuered by knowledge.
10 Добру праведних радује се град; а кад пропадају безбожници, бива певање.
In the prosperitie of the righteous the citie reioyceth, and when the wicked perish, there is ioye.
11 Благословима праведних људи подиже се град, а с уста безбожничких раскопава се.
By the blessing of the righteous, the citie is exalted: but it is subuerted by the mouth of the wicked.
12 Безумник се руга ближњему свом, а разуман човек ћути.
He that despiseth his neighbour, is destitute of wisedome: but a man of vnderstanding will keepe silence.
13 Опадач тумарајући издаје тајну; а ко је верна срца, таји ствар.
Hee that goeth about as a slanderer, discouereth a secret: but hee that is of a faithfull heart concealeth a matter.
14 Где нема савета, пропада народ, а помоћ је у мноштву саветника.
Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.
15 Зло пролази ко се јамчи за туђина; а ко мрзи на јамство, без бриге је.
Hee shall be sore vexed, that is suretie for a stranger, and he that hateth suretiship, is sure.
16 Жена мила добија част, а силни добијају богатство.
A gracious woman atteineth honour, and the strong men atteine riches.
17 Милостив човек чини добро души својој, а немилостив уди свом телу.
Hee that is mercifull, rewardeth his owne soule: but he that troubleth his own flesh, is cruel.
18 Безбожни ради посао преваран; а ко сеје правду, поуздана му је плата.
The wicked worketh a deceitful worke: but hee that soweth righteousnes, shall receiue a sure rewarde.
19 Ко се држи правде, на живот му је; а ко иде за злом, на смрт му је.
As righteousnes leadeth to life: so hee that followeth euill, seeketh his owne death.
20 Мрски су Господу који су опаког срца; а мили су Му који су безазлени на свом путу.
They that are of a froward heart, are abomination to the Lord: but they that are vpright in their way, are his delite.
21 Зао човек неће остати без кара ако и друге узме у помоћ; а семе праведних избавиће се.
Though hande ioyne in hande, the wicked shall not be vnpunished: but the seede of the righteous shall escape.
22 Жена лепа а без разума златна је брњица у губици свињи.
As a iewell of golde in a swines snoute: so is a faire woman, which lacketh discretion.
23 Жеља је праведних само добро, а очекивање безбожних гнев.
The desire of the righteous is onely good: but the hope of the wicked is indignation.
24 Један просипа, и све више има; а други тврдује сувише, и све је сиромашнији.
There is that scattereth, and is more increased: but hee that spareth more then is right, surely commeth to pouertie.
25 Подашна рука бива богатија, и ко напаја, сам ће бити напојен.
The liberall person shall haue plentie: and he that watereth, shall also haue raine.
26 Ко не да жита, проклиње га народ, а ко продаје, благослов му је над главом.
He that withdraweth the corne, the people will curse him: but blessing shalbe vpon the head of him that selleth corne.
27 Ко тражи добро, добија љубав; а ко тражи зло, задесиће га.
He that seeketh good things, getteth fauour: but he that seeketh euill, it shall come to him.
28 Ко се узда у богатство своје, пропашће; а праведници ће се као грана зеленети.
He that trusteth in his riches, shall fall: but the righteous shall florish as a leafe.
29 Ко затире кућу своју, наследиће ветар; и безумник ће служити мудром.
He that troubleth his owne house, shall inherite the winde, and the foole shalbe seruant to the wise in heart.
30 Плод је праведников дрво животно, и мудри обучава душе.
The fruite of the righteous is as a tree of life, and he that winneth soules, is wise.
31 Гле, праведнику се на земљи плаћа, а камоли безбожнику и грешнику?
Beholde, the righteous shalbe recompensed in the earth: howe much more the wicked and the sinner?
