Јован 1
1 У почетку беше Реч, и Реч беше у Бога, и Бог беше Реч.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 Она беше у почетку у Бога.
The same was in the beginning with God.
3 Све је кроз Њу постало, и без Ње ништа није постало што је постало.
All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that hath been made.
4 У Њој беше живот, и живот беше видело људима.
In him is life; and the life was the light of men.
5 И Видело се светли у тами, и тама Га не обузе.
And the light hath been shining in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.
6 Посла Бог човека по имену Јована.
There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
7 Овај дође за сведочанство да сведочи за Видело да сви верују кроза њ.
He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe.
8 Он не беше Видело, него да сведочи за Видело.
He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
9 Беше Видело истинито које обасјава сваког човека који долази на свет.
The true light, which enlighteneth every man, was coming into the world.
10 На свету беше, и свет кроза Њ поста, и свет Га не позна.
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
11 К својима дође, и своји Га не примише.
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
12 А који Га примише даде им власт да буду синови Божији, који верују у име Његово,
But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God, —to those who believed in his name;
13 Који се не родише од крви, ни од воље телесне, ни од воље мужевље, него од Бога.
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 И реч постаде тело и усели се у нас пуно благодати и истине; и видесмо славу Његову, славу, као Јединороднога од Оца.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we beheld his glory, a glory as of an only begotten of a father.
15 Јован сведочи за Њега и виче говорећи: Овај беше за кога рекох: Који за мном иде преда мном постаде, јер пре мене беше.
John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.
16 И од пунине Његове ми сви узесмо благодат за благодаћу.
For out of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace.
17 Јер се закон даде преко Мојсија, а благодат и истина постаде од Исуса Христа.
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 Бога нико није видео никад: Јединородни Син који је у наручју Очевом, Он Га јави.
No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.
19 И ово је сведочанство Јованово кад послаше Јевреји из Јерусалима свештенике и Левите да га запитају: Ко си ти?
And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
20 И он призна, и не затаји, и призна: Ја нисам Христос.
And he declared, and did not deny; and he declared, I am not the Christ.
21 И запиташе га: Ко си дакле? Јеси ли Илија? И рече: Нисам. Јеси ли пророк? И одговори: Нисам.
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
22 А они му рекоше: Ко си? Да можемо казати онима што су нас послали: Шта кажеш за себе?
They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us; what sayest thou of thyself?
23 Рече: Ја сам глас оног што виче у пустињи: Поравните пут Господњи; као што каза Исаија пророк.
He said, I am “a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,” as said Isaiah the prophet.
24 И беху посланици од фарисеја,
And they were sent from the Pharisees;
25 И запиташе га говорећи му: Зашто, дакле, крштаваш кад ти ниси Христос ни Илија ни пророк?
and they asked him and said to him, Why then dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?
26 Одговори им Јован говорећи: Ја крштавам водом а међу вама стоји кога ви не знате.
John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,
27 Он је Онај што ће доћи за мном, који беше преда мном; коме ја нисам достојан одрешити ремен на обући Његовој.
he who cometh after me, the latchet of whose sandal I am not worthy to loose.
28 Ово би у Витанији преко Јордана где Јован крштаваше.
These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 А сутрадан виде Јован Исуса где иде к њему, и рече: Гле, јагње Божије које узе на се грехе света.
The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
30 Ово је Онај за кога ја рекох: За мном иде човек који преда мном постаде, јер пре мене беше.
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who hath gone before me; for he was before me.
31 И ја Га не знадох: него да се јави Израиљу зато ја дођох да крстим водом.
And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, therefore I came baptizing in water.
32 И сведочи Јован говорећи: Видех Духа где силази с неба као голуб и стаде на Њему.
And John bore witness, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
33 И ја Га не знадох; него Онај који ме посла да крстим водом Он ми рече: На кога видиш да силази Дух и стоји на Њему то је Онај који ће крстити Духом Светим.
And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
34 И ја видех и засведочих да је овај Син Божји.
And I have seen and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.
35 А сутрадан, опет, стајаше Јован и двојица од ученика његових,
On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples;
36 И видевши Исуса где иде, рече: Гле, јагње Божије.
and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
37 И чуше га оба ученика кад говораше, и отидоше за Исусом.
The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
38 А Исус обазревши се и видевши их где иду за Њим, рече им: Шта ћете? А они Му рекоше: Рави! (које значи: учитељу) где стојиш?
Jesus turning and seeing them following, saith to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi, (that is to say, when interpreted, Teacher, ) where dost thou dwell?
39 И рече им: Дођите и видите. И отидоше, и видеше где стајаше; и осташе у Њега онај дан. А беше око деветог сахата.
He saith to them, Come, and ye shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelt; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40 А један од двојице који чуше од Јована и иђаху за Њим беше Андрија, брат Симона Петра;
One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 Он нађе најпре брата свог Симона, и рече му: Ми нађосмо Месију, које значи Христос.
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.)
42 И доведе га к Исусу. А Исус погледавши на њ рече: Ти си Симон, син Јонин; ти ћеш се звати Кифа, које значи Петар.
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
43 А сутрадан намисли изићи у Галилеју, и нађе Филипа, и рече му: Хајде за мном.
On the morrow he determined to go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip. And Jesus saith to him, Follow me.
44 А Филип беше из Витсаиде, из града Андријиног и Петровог.
Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Филип нађе Натанаила, и рече му: За кога Мојсије у закону писа и пророци, нађосмо Га, Исуса сина Јосифова из Назарета.
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
46 И рече му Натанаило: Из Назарета може ли бити шта добро? Рече му Филип: Дођи и види.
And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
47 А Исус видевши Натанаила где иде к Њему рече за њега: Ево правог Израиљца у коме нема лукавства.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.
48 Рече Му Натанаило: Како ме познајеш? Одговори Исус и рече му: Пре него те позва Филип видех те кад беше под смоквом.
Nathanael saith to him, Whence dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 Одговори Натанаило и рече Му: Рави! Ти си Син Божији, Ти си Цар Израиљев.
Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.
50 Одговори Исус и рече му: Што ти казах да те видех под смоквом зато верујеш; видећеш више од овог.
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 И рече му: Заиста, заиста вам кажем: Одселе ћете видети небо отворено и анђеле Божије где се пењу и силазе к Сину човечијем.
And he saith to him, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
