Књига о Јову 26
1 А Јов одговори и рече:
Then responded Job, and said: —
2 Како си помогао слабоме! Како си избавио руку нејаку!
How hast thou given help to one of no-strength? given victory to an arm of no-power?
3 Како си световао оног који је без мудрости и показао разум изобила!
How hast thou given counsel to one of no-wisdom? or, effective wisdom, abundantly made known?
4 Коме си говорио те речи? И чији је дух изашао из тебе?
Whom hast thou taught speech? Whose inspiration hath come from thee?
5 И мртве ствари створене су под водама и становници њихови.
The shades, tremble, beneath the waters and their inhabitants;
Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction; (Sheol h7585)
7 Он је разастро и север над празнином, и земљу обесио ни о чем.
Who stretcheth out the north over emptiness, hangeth the earth upon nothingness;
8 Завезује воде у облацима својим, и не продире се облак под њима.
Who bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent beneath them;
9 Држи престо свој, разапиње облак свој над њим.
Who shutteth-in the face of the throne, he spreadeth over it his cloud;
10 Међу је поставио око воде докле не буде крај светлости и мраку.
A, boundary, hath he encircled on the face of the waters, as far as where light ends in darkness;
11 Ступови небески тресу се и дрхћу од претње Његове.
The pillars of the heavens, are shaken, and are terrified at his rebuke:
12 Силом је својом поцепао море и разумом својим разбио беснило његово.
By his strength, hath he excited the sea, and, by his skill, hath he shattered the Crocodile:
13 Духом је својим украсио небеса, и рука је Његова створила пругу змију.
By his spirit, hath he arched the heavens, His hand hath pierced the fleeing serpent.
14 Гле, то су делови путева Његових; али како је мали део што чусмо о Њему? И ко ће разумети гром силе Његове?
Lo! these, are the fringes of his way, and what a whisper of a word hath been heard of him! But, the thunder of his might, who could understand?
