Књига пророка Осије 7
1 Кад лечим Израиља, тада се показује безакоње Јефремово и злоћа самаријска; јер чине лаж, и лупеж улази, и напољу удара чета.
When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria. For they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the troop of robbers ravages outside.
2 И не говоре у срцу свом да ја памтим свако безакоње њихово; сада стоје око њих дела њихова, преда мном су.
And they do not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own doings have surrounded them; they are before my face.
3 Неваљалством својим веселе цара и лажима својим кнезове.
They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the rulers with their lies.
4 Сви чине прељубу; као пећ су коју ужари хлебар, који престане стражити кад замеси тесто па докле ускисне.
They are all adulterers. They are as an oven heated by the baker. He ceases to stir the fire, from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened.
5 На дан цара нашег разболеше се кнезови од меха вина, и он пружи руку своју подсмевачима.
On the day of our king the rulers made themselves sick with the heat of wine. He stretched out his hand with scoffers.
6 Јер на заседе своје управљају срце своје, које је као пећ; хлебар њихов спава целу ноћ, ујутру гори као пламен огњени.
For they have made their heart ready like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all the night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.
7 Сви су као пећ угрејани и прождиру своје судије; сви цареви њихови падају, ниједан између њих не виче к мени.
They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings are fallen. There is none among those who call to me.
8 Јефрем се помешао с народима; Јефрем је погача непреврнута.
Ephraim, he mixes himself among the peoples. Ephraim is a cake not turned.
9 Иностранци једу му силу, а он не зна; седе косе попадају га, а он не зна.
Strangers have devoured his strength, and he does not know. Yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, and he does not know.
10 И поноситост Израиљева сведочи му у очи, али се не враћају ка Господу Богу свом нити Га траже уза све то.
And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. Yet they have not returned to Jehovah their God, nor sought him for all this.
11 И Јефрем је као голуб, луд, безуман; зову Мисир, иду у Асирску.
And Ephraim is like a silly dove, without understanding. They call to Egypt. They go to Assyria.
12 Кад отиду, разапећу на њих мрежу своју, као птице небеске свући ћу их, караћу их како је казивано у збору њиховом.
When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them. I will bring them down as the birds of the heavens. I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard.
13 Тешко њима, јер зађоше од мене; погибао ће им бити, јер ме изневерише; ја их искупих, а они говорише на ме лаж.
Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
14 Нити ме призиваше из срца свог, него ридаше на одрима својим; жита и вина ради скупљајући се одступају од мене.
And they have not cried to me with their heart, but they howl upon their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. They rebel against me.
15 Кад их карах, укрепих им мишице; али они мислише зло на ме.
Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they devise mischief against me.
16 Враћају се, али не ка Вишњем, посташе као лук лажљив; кнезови ће њихови попадати од мача с обести језика свог; то ће им бити подсмех у земљи мисирској.
They return, but not to him on high. They are like a deceitful bow. Their rulers shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
