1 А ово су племена синова Нојевих, Сима, Хама и Јафета, којима се родише синови после потопа.
Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah [Rest] and of Shem [Name], Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion], and Japheth [Enlargement, Spreading wide]. Sons were born to them after the flood.
2 Синови Јафетови: Гомер и Магог и Мадај и Јаван и Товел и Месех и Тирас.
The sons of Japheth [Enlargement, Spreading wide] were: Gomer, Magog [From roof-top], Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 А синови Гомерови: Асхенас и Рифат и Тогарма.
The sons of Gomer were: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 А синови Јаванови: Елиса и Тарсис, Китим и Доданим.
The sons of Javan were: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Од њих се разделише острва народна на земљама својим, свако по језику свом и по породицама својим, у народима својим.
Of these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.
6 А синови Хамови: Хус и Месраин, Фуд и Ханан.
The sons of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion] were: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan [Humbled].
7 А синови Хусови: Сава и Авила и Савата и Регма и Саватака. А синови Регмини: Сава и Дедан.
The sons of Cush were: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were: Sheba and Dedan.
8 Хус роди и Неврода; а он први би силан на земљи;
Cush became the father of Nimrod [Let us rebel]. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 Беше добар ловац пред Господом; зато се каже: Добар ловац пред Господом као Неврод.
He was a mighty hunter before Adonai. Therefore it is said, “like Nimrod [Let us rebel], a mighty hunter before Adonai”.
10 А почетак царству његовом беше Вавилон и Орех и Архад и Халани у земљи Сенару.
The beginning of his kingdom was Babel [Confusion], Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Из те земље изађе Асур, и сазида Ниневију и Ровот град и Халах,
Out of that land he went into Assyria [Level plain], and built Nineveh [Offspring’s Habitation], Rehoboth Ir, Calah,
12 И Дасем између Ниневије и Халаха; то је град велик.
and Resen between Nineveh [Offspring’s Habitation] and the great city Calah.
13 А Месраин роди Лудеје и Енемеје и Лавеје и Нефталеје,
Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
14 И Патросеје и Хасмеје, одакле изађоше Филистеји и Гафтореји.
Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom the Philistines [To roll in dust (As an insult)] descended from), and Caphtorim.
15 А Ханан роди Сидона, првенца свог, и Хета,
Canaan [Humbled] became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth [Trembling fear],
16 И Јевусеја и Амореја и Гергесеја,
the Jebusites [Descendants of Thresher], the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers], the Girgashites [Descendants of Who arrives from pilgrimage],
17 И Евеја и Арукеја и Асенеја,
the Hivites [Wicked], the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 И Арвадеја и Самареја и Аматеја. А после се расејаше племена хананејска.
the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites [Descendants of Humbled] were spread abroad.
19 И беху међе хананејске од Сидона идући на Герар па до Газе, и идући на Содом и Гомор и Адаму и Севојим па до Даса.
The border of the Canaanites [Descendants of Humbled] was from Sidon— as you go toward Gerar— to Gaza— as you go toward Sodom [Burning], Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants], Admah, and Zeboiim— to Lasha.
20 То су синови Хамови по породицама својим и по језицима својим, у земљама својим и у народима својим.
These are the sons of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion], after their families, according to their languages, in their lands and their nations.
21 И Симу родише се синови, најстаријем брату Јафетовом, оцу свих синова Еверових.
Children were also born to Shem [Name], the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth [Enlargement, Spreading wide].
22 Синови Симови беху: Елам и Асур и Арфаксад и Луд и Арам.
The sons of Shem [Name] were: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram [Elevated].
23 А синови Арамови: Уз и Ул и Гатер и Мас.
The sons of Aram [Elevated] were: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 А Арфаксад роди Салу, а Сала роди Евера.
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
25 А Еверу се родише два сина: једном беше име Фалек, јер се у његово време раздели земља, а брату његовом име Јектан.
To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother’s name was Joktan.
26 А Јектан роди Елмодада и Салета и Сармота и Јараха,
Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 И Одора и Евила и Деклу,
Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 И Евала и Авимаила и Саву,
Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 И Уфира и Евилу и Јовава; ти сви беху синови Јектанови.
Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 И живљаху од Масе, како се иде на Сафир до гора источних.
Their dwelling extended from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31 То су синови Симови по породицама својим и по језицима својим, у земљама својим и у народима својим.
These are the sons of Shem [Name], by their families, according to their languages, lands, and nations.
32 То су породице синова Нојевих по племенима својим, у народима својим; и од њих се разделише народи по земљи после потопа.
These are the families of the sons of Noah [Rest], by their generations, according to their nations. The nations divided from these in the earth after the flood.
