2 Књига Самуилова 5
1 Тада дођоше сва племена Израиљева к Давиду у Хеврон, и рекоше му говорећи: Ево, ми смо кост твоја и тело твоје.
Then came all the tribes of Israel to Dauid vnto Hebron, and said thus, Beholde, we are thy bones and thy flesh.
2 И пре, док Саул беше цар над нама, ти си одводио и доводио Израиља; и Господ ти је рекао: Ти ћеш пасти народ мој Израиља и ти ћеш бити вођ Израиљу.
And in time past when Saul was our King, thou leddest Israel in and out: and the Lord hath sayde to thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captaine ouer Israel.
3 Тако дођоше све старешине Израиљеве к цару у Хеврон, и учини с њима цар Давид веру у Хеврону пред Господом; и помазаше Давида за цара над Израиљем.
So all the Elders of Israel came to the King to Hebron: and King Dauid made a couenant with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel.
4 Тридесет година беше Давиду кад се зацари, и царова четрдесет година.
Dauid was thirtie yeere olde when he began to reigne: and hee reigned fortie yeere.
5 У Хеврону царова над Јудом седам година и шест месеци; а у Јерусалиму царова тридесет и три године над свим Израиљем и Јудом.
In Hebron hee reigned ouer Iudah seuen yeere, and sixe moneths: and in Ierusalem hee reigned thirtie and three yeeres ouer all Israel and Iudah.
6 А цар отиде са својим људима у Јерусалим на Јевусеје, који живљаху у оној земљи. И они рекоше Давиду говорећи: Нећеш ући овамо док не узмеш слепе и хроме, хотећи казати: Неће ући овамо Давид.
The King also and his men went to Ierusalem vnto the Iebusites, the inhabitants of the land: who spake vnto Dauid, saying, Except thou take away the blinde and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking that Dauid coulde not come thither.
7 Али Давид узе кулу Сион, то је град Давидов.
But Dauid tooke the fort of Zion: this is the citie of Dauid.
8 Јер рече Давид у онај дан: Ко год побије Јевусеје и дође до јаза, и до слепих и хромих, на које мрзи душа Давидова, биће војвода. Зато се каже: Слепи и хроми да не улазе у ову кућу.
Nowe Dauid had sayd the same day, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites, and getteth vp to the gutters and smiteth the lame and blinde, which Dauids soule hateth, I will preferre him: therefore they saide, The blinde and the lame shall not come into that house.
9 И седе Давид у кули, и назва је градом Давидовим: и погради је Давид унаоколо од Милона и унутра.
So Dauid dwelt in that forte, and called it the citie of Dauid, and Dauid built rounde about it, from Millo, and inward.
10 И Давид једнако напредоваше, јер Господ Бог над војскама беше с њим.
And Dauid prospered and grewe: for the Lord God of hostes was with him.
11 И Хирам цар тирски посла посланике к Давиду, и кедрових дрва и дрводеља и каменара, и саградише кућу Давиду.
Hiram also king of Tyrus sent messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons for walles: and they built Dauid an house.
12 И разуме Давид да га је Господ утврдио за цара над Израиљем, и да је узвисио царство његово ради народа свог Израиља.
Then Dauid knewe that the Lord had stablished him King ouer Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdome for his people Israels sake.
13 И узе Давид још иноча и жена из Јерусалима, пошто дође из Хеврона; и роди се Давиду још синова и кћери.
And Dauid tooke him more concubines and wiues out of Ierusalem, after hee was come from Hebron, and more sonnes and daughters were borne to Dauid.
14 И ово су имена оних који му се родише у Јерусалиму: Самуја и Совав и Натан и Соломун,
And these bee the names of the sonnes that were borne vnto him in Ierusale: Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Salomon,
15 И Јевар и Елисуја и Нафиг и Јафија,
And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,
16 И Елисама и Елијада и Елифалет.
And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
17 А Филистеји чувши да су помазали Давида за цара над Израиљем, изиђоше сви Филистеји да траже Давида; а Давид чувши то, отиде у кулу.
But when the Philistims hearde that they had anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid: and when Dauid heard, he went downe to a fort.
18 И Филистеји дошавши раширише се по долини рафајској.
But the Philistims came, and spred themselues in the valley of Rephaim.
19 Тада Давид упита Господа говорећи: Хоћу ли изаћи на Филистеје? Хоћеш ли их дати у моје руке? А Господ рече Давиду: Изађи; доиста ћу дати Филистеје у твоје руке.
Then Dauid asked counsel of the Lord, saying, Shall I goe vp to the Philistims? wilt thou deliuer them into mine handes? And the Lord answered Dauid, Goe vp: for I will doubtlesse deliuer the Philistims into thine handes.
20 Тада Давид дође у Вал-Ферасим, и поби их онде, и рече: Продре Господ непријатеље моје преда мном као кад вода продире. Отуда се прозва оно место Вал-Ферасим.
Then Dauid came to Baal-perazim, and smote them there, and sayde, The Lord hath deuided mine enemies asunder before mee, as waters be deuided asunder: therefore he called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
21 И оставише онде лажне богове своје; а Давид и људи његови однесоше их.
And there they left their images, and Dauid and his men burnt them.
22 И опет наново дођоше Филистеји, и раширише се у долини рафајској.
Againe the Philistims came vp, and spred themselues in the valley of Rephaim.
23 И Давид упита Господа, који рече: Не иди пред њих, него им зађи за леђа, па удари на њих према дудовима.
And when Dauid asked counsell of the Lord, hee answered, Thou shalt not goe vp, but turne about behinde them, and come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.
24 Па кад чујеш да зашушти по врховима од дудова, онда се крени, јер ће онда поћи Господ пред тобом да побије војску филистејску.
And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then remoue: for then shall the Lord goe out before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.
25 И Давид учини тако како му заповеди Господ, и поби Филистеје од Гаваје до Гезера.
Then Dauid did so as the Lord had commanded him, and smote the Philistims from Geba, vntil thou come to Gazer.
