1 А синови Израиљеви по свом броју, главари домова отачких, хиљадници и стотиници и управитељи њихови, служаху цару у сваком послу у редовима, који долажаху и одлажаху од месеци до месеци, сваког месеца у години; а у сваком реду беше их двадесет и четири хиљаде.

7 Четврти, четвртог месеца Асаило брат Јоавов, а за њим Зевадија син му; и у реду његовом беше двадесет и четири хиљаде.

23 А не изброја Давид оних који имаху мање од двадесет година, јер Господ беше рекао да ће умножити синове Израиљеве као звезде небеске.

24 Јоав, син Серујин поче бројати, али не доврши; јер дође гнев Божји за то на Израиља; зато тај број не дође у књигу о цару Давиду.

25 Над благом царевим беше Азмавет, син Адилов, а над благом по земљи, по градовима и по селима и по кулама Јонатан, син Озијин.

26 А над ратарима, који рађаху земљу, беше Езрије, син Хелувов;

27 А над виноградарима Симеј Рамаћанин; а над родом виноградским и над пивницама Завдије Сифмејин;

28 А над маслинама и смоквама по пољима Вал-Анан Гедеранин; а над уљем Јоас;
for Balanam Gadaritis was on the olyue placis, and fige places, that weren in the feeldi places; sotheli Joas was on the schoppis, `ether celeris, of oile;
29 Над говедима што пасаху у Сарону Ситрај Сароњанин, а над говедима по долинама Сафат Адлајев;
forsothe Cethray Saronytis `was souereyn of the droues, that weren lesewid in Sarena; and Saphat, the sone of Abdi, was ouer the oxis in valeys;
30 Над камилама Овил Исмаиљац; над магарцима Једаја Мероноћанин;
sotheli Vbil of Ismael was ouer the camelis; and Jadye Meronathites was ouer the assis; and Jazir Aggarene was ouer the scheep;
31 А над овцама Јазиз Агарејин. Сви ови беху настојници над благом цара Давида.

32 А Јонатан, стриц Давидов беше саветник, мудар човек и књижевник; он и Јехило син Ахмонијев беху са синовима царевим.

33 И Ахитофел беше саветник царев, и Хусај Архијанин пријатељ царев.

34 А после Ахитофела беше Јодај, син Венајин и Авијатар, а војвода царев беше Јоав.
