Psalmi 97

1 Gospod caruje: nek se raduje zemlja! nek se vesele ostrva mnoga.

The LORD reigneth, let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of isles be glad!

2 Oblak je i mrak oko njega; blagost i pravda podnožje prijestolu njegovu.

Clouds and darkness are round about him; Justice and equity are the foundation of his throne.

3 Oganj pred njim ide, i pali naokolo neprijatelje njegove.

Before him goeth a fire, Which burneth up his enemies around.

4 Munje njegove sijevaju po vasiljenoj; vidi i strepi zemlja.

His lightnings illumine the world; The earth beholdeth and trembleth.

5 Gore kao vosak tope se od lica Gospodnjega, od lica Gospoda svoj zemlji.

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 Nebesa kazuju pravdu njegovu, i svi narodi vide slavu njegovu.

The heavens declare his righteousness, And all nations behold his glory.

7 Nek se stide svi koji se klanjaju kipovima, koji se hvale idolima svojim. Poklonite mu se svi bogovi.

Confounded be they who worship graven images, Who glory in idols! To him, all ye gods, bow down!

8 Èuje i raduje se Sion, i kæeri se Judejske vesele radi sudova tvojih, Gospode!

Zion hath heard, and is glad, And the daughters of Judah exult On account of thy judgments, O LORD!

9 Jer si ti, Gospode, visok nad svom zemljom i nadvišuješ sve bogove.

For thou, O LORD! art most high above all the earth; Thou art far exalted above all gods!

10 Koji ljubite Gospoda, mrzite na zlo. On èuva duše svetaca svojih; iz ruku bezbožnièkih otima ih.

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil! He preserveth the lives of his servants, And delivereth them from the hand of the wicked.

11 Svjetlost se prosipa na pravednika, i veselje na one koji su prava srca.

Light is sown for the righteous, And joy for the upright in heart.

12 Radujte se pravedni o Gospodu, i slavite sveto ime njegovo.

Rejoice, O ye righteous, in the LORD, And praise his holy name!
