Psalmi 94
1 Bože od osvete, Gospode, Bože od osvete, pokaži se!
O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 Podigni se, sudijo zemaljski, podaj zaslugu oholima.
Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
3 Dokle æe se bezbožnici, Gospode, dokle æe se bezbožnici hvaliti?
How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
4 Ruže i oholo govore, velièaju se svi koji èine bezakonje.
They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
5 Gaze narod tvoj, Gospode, i dostojanje tvoje muèe.
Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
6 Udovicu i došljaka ubijaju, i sirote more.
The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
7 I govore: neæe vidjeti Gospod, i neæe doznati Bog Jakovljev.
And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
8 Orazumite se, preludi ljudi! budale! kad æete biti pametni?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
9 Koji je stvorio uho, zar ne èuje? i koji je oko naèinio, zar ne vidi?
He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Zar neæe oblièiti koji narode urazumljuje, koji uèi èovjeka da zna?
He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
11 Gospod zna misli ljudima kako su ništave.
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
12 Blago èovjeku koga ti, Gospode, urazumljuješ, i zakonom svojim uèiš;
Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
13 Da bi mu dao mir u zle dane, dok se iskopa jama bezbožniku.
That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
14 Jer neæe odbaciti Gospod naroda svojega, i dostojanja svojega neæe ostaviti.
For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
15 Jer æe se sud vratiti na pravdu, i njega æe naæi svi prava srca.
For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
16 Ko æe ustati za mene suprot zlima? ko æe stati za mene suprot onima koji èine bezakonje?
Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
17 Kad mi Gospod ne bi bio pomoænik, brzo bi se duša moja preselila onamo gdje se muèi.
Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
18 Kad reèem: drkæe mi noga, milost tvoja, Gospode, prihvata me.
When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
19 Kad se umnože brige u srcu mom, utjehe tvoje razgovaraju dušu moju.
In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
20 Eda li æe blizu tebe stati prijesto krvnièki, i onaj koji namišlja nasilje nasuprot zakonu?
Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
21 Spremaju se na dušu pravednikovu, i krv pravu okrivljuju.
They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
22 Ali je Gospod moje pristanište, i Bog je moj tvrdo utoèište moje.
But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
23 On æe im vratiti za bezakonje njihovo, za njihovu zloæu istrijebiæe ih, istrijebiæe ih Gospod, Bog naš.
And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
