Psalmi 8

1 Gospode, Gospode naš! kako je velièanstveno ime tvoje po svoj zemlji! Podigao si slavu svoju više nebesa.

To the choirmaster on the Gittith a psalm of David. O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth [the one] who set! splendor your above the heavens.

2 U ustima male djece i koja sisaju èiniš sebi hvalu nasuprot neprijateljima svojim, da bi uèinio da zamukne neprijatelj i nemirnik.

From [the] mouth of children - and suckling-children you have established strength on account of opposers your to put an end to an enemy and an avenger.

3 Kad pogledam nebesa tvoja, djelo prsta tvojih, mjesec i zvijezde, koje si ti postavio;

If I will see heavens your [the] works fingers your [the] moon and [the] stars which you have established.

4 Šta je èovjek, te ga se opominješ, ili sin èovjeèji, te ga polaziš?

What? [is] humankind that you will remember him and a son of humankind that you will pay attention to him.

5 Uèinio si ga malo manjega od anðela, slavom i èašæu vjenèao si ga;

And you have made lack him little from God and honor and majesty you crown him.

6 Postavio si ga gospodarom nad djelima ruku svojih, sve si metnuo pod noge njegove,

You make rule him over [the] works of hands your everything you have put under feet his.

7 Ovce i volove sve, i divlje zvjerinje,

Sheep and cattle all of them and also [the] animals of [the] field.

8 Ptice nebeske i ribe morske, što god ide morskim putovima.

[the] bird[s] of [the] heavens And [the] fish of the sea [that which] passes through [the] paths of [the] seas.

9 Gospode, Gospode naš! kako je velièanstveno ime tvoje po svoj zemlji!

O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth.
