Psalmi 76

1 Zna se u Judeji za Boga, u Izrailja je veliko ime njegovo.

To the Chief Musician. With Stringed Instruments. A Melody of Asaph, a Song. God is, known in Judah, In Israel, great is his Name;

2 U Salimu je stan njegov i naselje njegovo na Sionu.

Now hath come into Salem, his pavilion, And his dwelling-place into Zion.

3 Ondje je polomio krilate strijele luku, štit i maè i rat.

There, hath he broken in pieces the arrows of the bow, shield and sword, and battle. (Selah)

4 Ti si svijetao; divniji od gora hajduèkih.

Enveloped in light, thou, art more majestic than the mountains of prey.

5 Koji su junaèkog srca postaše plijen, zaspaše snom svojim, i junaci ne naðoše ruku svojih.

The valiant of heart have become a spoil, They have slumbered their sleep, And none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 Od prijetnje tvoje, Bože Jakovljev, drijemlju kola i konj.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Stunned are the horsemen.

7 Ti si strašan, i ko æe se održati pred licem tvojim kad se razgnjeviš?

As for thee, to be feared thou art! Who then shall stand before thee, because of the power of thine anger?

8 S neba javljaš sud; zemlja se prepada i muèi,

Out of the heavens, didst thou cause judgment to be heard, Earth, feared and was still:

9 Kad Bog ustaje na sud, da pomože svima koji stradaju na zemlji.

When God rose up to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

10 I gnjev ljudski obraæa se u slavu tebi, kad se jednom opašeš gnjevom.

For the multitude of mankind shall give thanks unto thee, The remainder of the multitude, shall keep holy festival unto thee.

11 Polažite i izvršujte zavjete Gospodu Bogu svojemu; svi koji ste oko njega, nosite dare strašnome.

Vow and pay, unto Yahweh your God, —Let, all who are round about him, bear along a gift unto him who is to be revered.

12 On ukroæava duh knezovima, on je strašan carevima zemaljskim.

He cutteth off the spirit of nobles, he is of reverend majesty to the kings of the earth.
