Psalmi 59
1 Izbavi me od neprijatelja mojih, Bože moj, i od onijeh, što ustaju na me, zakloni me.
To the Chief Musician. "Do not Destroy." A precious Psalm of David. When Saul sent, and they watched the house, to kill him. Rescue me from my foes, O my God, From them who lift themselves up against me, wilt thou set me on high:
2 Izbavi me od onijeh koji èine bezakonje, i od krvopija saèuvaj me.
Rescue me, from the workers of iniquity, And, from the men of bloodshed, save me.
3 Evo zlo namišljaju duši mojoj, skupljaju se na me silni, bez krivice moje i bez grijeha mojega, Gospode.
For lo! they have lain in wait for my life, Mighty ones stir up strife against me, Without transgression of mine, and without sin of mine, O Yahweh;
4 Bez krivice moje stjeèu se i oružaju se; ustani za mene, i gledaj.
For no iniquity, do they run that they may take their stand, Rouse thyself to meet me, and see.
5 Ti, Gospode, Bože nad vojskama, Bože Izrailjev, probudi se, obiði sve ove narode, nemoj požaliti odmetnika.
Thou, therefore, O Yahweh, God of hosts, God of Israel, Awake, to visit all the nations, Do not show favour to any iniquitous traitors. (Selah)
6 Nek se vrate uveèe, laju kao psi, i idu oko grada.
They return at evening, They grow like a dog, And go round the city.
7 Evo ruže jezikom svojim, maè im je u ustima, jer, vele, ko æe èuti?
Lo! they belch forth with their mouth, Swords, are in their lips, For [say they], Who doth hear?
8 Ali ti æeš se, Gospode, smijati njima i posramiti sve ove narode.
Thou, therefore, O Yahweh, wilt laugh at them, Thou wilt mock at all nations.
9 Oni su jaki, ali ja na tebe pogledam, jer si ti Bog èuvar moj.
O my Strength, unto thee, will I make melody, For, God, is my high tower.
10 Bog, koji me miluje, ide preda mnom, Bog mi daje bez straha da gledam neprijatelje svoje.
My God of lovingkindness, will come to meet me, God, will let me look on mine adversaries.
11 Nemoj ih pobiti, da ne bi zaboravio narod moj; raspi ih silom svojom i obori ih, Gospode, branièu naš,
Do not slay them, lest my people forget, Cause them to wander by thy strength, and prostrate them, [Thou] our shield, O Lord!
12 Za grijeh usta njihovijeh, za rijeèi jezika njihova; nek se uhvate u oholosti svojoj za kletvu i laž koju su govorili.
The sin of their mouth, The word of their lips, Let them then be captured in their pride, Both for the oath and for the deception they record.
13 Raspi u gnjevu, raspi, da ih nema; i neka poznadu da Bog vlada nad Jakovom i do krajeva zemaljskih.
Bring to a full end in wrath, Bring to a full end, that they be no more, —That men may know that, God, is ruling in Jacob, Unto the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 Nek se vrate uveèe, laju kao psi, i idu oko grada.
Let them return, then, at evening, Let them growl like a dog, And go round the city.
15 Neka tumaraju tražeæi hrane, i ne nasitivši se neka noæi provode.
They, may prowl about for food, —And, if they are not satisfied, then let them whine!
16 A ja æu pjevati silu tvoju, rano ujutru glasiti milost tvoju; jer si mi bio obrana i utoèište u dan nevolje moje.
But, I, will sing thy power, And will shout aloud, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, —For thou has become a refuge for me, And a place to flee to in the day of my distress.
17 Silo moja! tebi æu pjevati, jer si ti Bog èuvar moj, Bog koji me miluje.
O my Strength, unto thee, will I make melody, For, God, is my high tower, my God of lovingkindness.
