Psalmi 55
1 Usliši, Bože, molitvu moju, i nemoj se sakriti od moljenja mojega.
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Pazi, i saslušaj me; cvilim u jadu svom i uzdišem
Attend to me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Od vike neprijateljske i od dosade bezbožnièke; jer dižu na me zlo, i u gnjevu gone me.
Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4 Srce je moje uzdrktalo u meni, i strah smrtni popade me;
My heart is severely pained within me: and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5 Strah i trepet doðe na me, i groza poduze me.
Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 I rekoh: ko bi mi dao krila golubinja? ja bih odleteo i poèinuo;
And I said, O that I had wings like a dove! [for then] I would fly away, and be at rest.
7 Daleko bih pobjegao, i nastanio se u pustinji.
Lo, [then] I would wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. (Selah)
8 Pohitao bih da uteèem od vihora i od bure.
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm [and] tempest.
9 Porazi, Gospode, i razdijeli jezike njihove, jer vidim nasilje i svaðu u gradu;
Destroy, O LORD, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Danju i noæu to hodi po zidovima njegovijem; zloèinstvo je i muka posred njega.
Day and night they go about it upon its walls: mischief also and sorrow [are] in the midst of it.
11 Usred njega je pogibao, s ulice njegove ne odlazi prijevara i lukavstvo.
Wickedness [is] in the midst of it: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12 Jer ne ruži me neprijatelj moj, to bih podnio; ne ustaje na me javni nenavidnik, od njega bih se sakrio.
For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it]: neither [was it] he that hated me [that] magnified [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 Nego ti koji si mi bio to što ja sam, drug moj i znanac moj.
But [it was] thou, a man my equal, my guide, and my acquaintance.
14 S kojim mi bješe radost dijeliti tajnu, i u dom Božji hodih kroz sabor narodni.
We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked to the house of God in company.
15 Neka ih ugrabi smrt, neka živi siðu u pakao, jer je zloèinstvo u stanu njihovu i u njima. (Sheol h7585)
Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)
16 Ja Boga prizivljem, i Gospod æe me spasti.
As for me, I will call upon God: and the LORD will save me.
17 Veèerom i jutrom i u podne tužim i uzdišem, i èuæe glas moj;
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he will hear my voice.
18 Uèiniæe, te æe duša moja biti mirna od onijeh koji napadaju na me, jer ih mnogo imam.
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle [that was] against me: for there were many with me.
19 Da usliši, i ukroti ih Bog, koji živi od vijeka; jer se ne mijenjaju i ne boje se Boga.
God will hear and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. (Selah) Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20 Dižu ruke svoje na one koji su s njima u miru, i raskidaju svoju družbu.
He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21 Usta su im meka kao maslo, a na srcu im je rat. Rijeèi su im blaže od ulja, ali su goli maèevi.
[The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.
22 Stavi na Gospoda breme svoje, i on æe te potkrijepiti. Neæe dati dovijeka pravedniku da posrne.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 Ti æeš ih, Bože, svaliti u jamu pogibli; krvopije i lukavi neæe sastaviti polovine dana svojih. A ja se u tebe uzdam.
But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
