Psalmi 5

1 Èuj, Gospode, rijeèi moje, razumij pomisli moje.

To him that excelleth upon Nehiloth. A Psalme of Dauid. Heare my wordes, O Lord: vnderstande my (meditation)

2 Slušaj viku moju, care moj i Bože moj! jer se tebi molim, Gospode!

Hearken vnto the voyce of my crie, my King and my God: for vnto thee doe I pray.

3 Ujutru slušaš glas moj, ujutru stojim pred tobom, i èekam.

Heare my voyce in the morning, O Lord: for in the morning will I direct me vnto thee, and I will waite.

4 Jer si ti Bog koji neæe bezakonja; u tebe nema mjesta ko je zao.

For thou art not a God that loueth wickednes: neither shall euill dwell with thee.

5 Bezbožnici neæe izaæi pred oèi tvoje; ti nenavidiš sve koji èine bezakonje.

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: for thou hatest all them that worke iniquitie.

6 Potireš lažljivce; na krvopioce i lukave mrzi Gospod.

Thou shalt destroy them that speake lyes: the Lord will abhorre the bloodie man and deceitfull.

7 A ja po velikoj milosti tvojoj ulazim u dom tvoj, i klanjam se u svetoj crkvi tvojoj sa strahom tvojim.

But I wil come into thine house in the multitude of thy mercie: and in thy feare will I worship toward thine holy Temple.

8 Gospode! vodi me u pravdi svojoj; radi neprijatelja mojih poravni preda mnom put svoj.

Leade me, O Lord, in thy righteousnes, because of mine enemies: make thy way plaine before my face.

9 Jer nema u ustima njihovijem istine; u njima je nevaljalstvo; grlo im je grob otvoren; na jeziku im je dvolièenje.

For no constancie is in their mouth: within, they are very corruption: their throte is an open sepulchre, and they flatter with their tongue.

10 Bože! ne daj im napretka, neka se razbiju pomisli njihove. Za mnoga nevaljalstva njihova obori ih, jer se pobuniše na tebe.

Destroy them, O God: let them fall from their counsels: cast them out for the multitude of their iniquities, because they haue rebelled against thee.

11 Pa æe se radovati svi koji se u te uzdaju; dovijeka æe se veseliti koje ti zaklanjaš; dièiæe se koji ljube ime tvoje.

And let all them that trust in thee, reioyce and triumph for euer, and couer thou them: and let them, that loue thy Name, reioyce in thee.

12 Jer ti, Gospode, blagosiljaš pravednika, kao štitom zaklanjaš ga milošæu svojom.

For thou Lord wilt blesse the righteous, and with fauour wilt compasse him, as with a shielde.
